Summary: The best Xmas movie by a mile!
Review: This is a brilliant film, yes its slightly cheesy in some places and perhaps the effects aren't that great, but guess what? its got a great story, its got lovable characters and its got magic. We see how Santa comes into being, how he deals with each year and the changes it brings, and in the modern world, how he deals with competition, by being what he has always been, the very spirit of Christmas, warm, loving and kind.

Summary: A Great Santa Claus Movie, now on (Widescreen) DVD !!
Review: This is a great colorful Santa Claus movie for the first 45 minutes!!!

"The Santa Claus Movie" is really 2 stories in one;

The first story is about SANTA CLAUS - 45 fabulous minutes of meeting Mr & Mrs Claus, learning all about his history, characteristics, and legacy of immortality. This story is complete and enjoyable. Visiting the North Pole, meeting the elves, Mrs Claus and seeing the immortal process unfold is the main ingredient. A true colorful and enjoyable musical score by Henry Mancini.

The second story is mindless villanous non-sense. Misunderstood Elf leaves North Pole seeks peer approval by partnering with toymaker villian. Santa becomes only a supporting character in his Movie!!!!

Stick with the first half and you'll love this colorful tale of that jolly old Elf, Santa Claus.

The making of extra is delightful. Santa's Movie is a fun addition to the Christmas library.

Summary: Great, traditional family Santa Clause Movie
Review: This is a great family movie. It begins with the story of Santa Clause, how he gets the job, and what his life is like. I describe the movie's view of the North Pole as how every child dreams it will be. It's a great flick. I've watched it since I was a child on an old copy and enjoy seeing it again each year. This DVD will keep the tradition going for years to come. It's a definant must see.

Summary: Set to become a timeless classic
Review: This is a great movie to get you in the mood for Christmas as it approaches. It is great for the kids as it is clean, i.e. no swearing or immorality and it incorporates the legend of St Nicholas through to what the kids know Santa Claus to be today. The costumes are bright and fun and the role of the two children in the story doing what probably many children have always wanted to do. It has become a tradition in our house to see it once a year.

Summary: A Wonderful Christmas Movie
Review: This is one of my favorite Christmas movies. It brings the legend of Santa Claus to life in a grandiose way (i.e. great Hollywood special effects and wonderful musical score!) This movie was produced by the Salkinds (which probably explains why some of the flying sequences are similar to the Superman movies.) I just recently found it is available now on DVD. The DVD gives you four movie trailers and a very interesting hour-long behind the scenes making of "Santa Claus: The Movie." It also has director's commentary, if you like that. Buy the widescreen version. Ever since owning a DVD player, I have enjoyed watching movies presented widescreen. I hate to see them "fit to screen," because it cuts so much out of the picture. The score is by Henry Mancini and is just magical, especially "Sleigh Ride Over Manhattan"! This is a wonderful Christmas movie that you and your family will enjoy for years to come!!

Summary: This is the best Christmas movie you will ever see!
Review: This is the best Christmas movie you will ever see. Except of course, for "A Christmas Story". Dudley Moore puts up one of his best performances since "Arthur."

Summary: My favorite Xmas Movie
Review: This movie got terrible critic reviews, but the user reviews are what really matter. People just love this movie. My dad bought it for me on LaserDisc back when it was first released in '85, and nearly 20 years later I still love it. It's a wonderful story and I think the characters are brilliant. The music is spectacular and I can always seem to replay it in my head. If you have young children, I guarantee you that they will love this movie and keep loving it. Watch it with them. If you don't like the movie that's fine, but I guarantee you'll love watching it with your children.
