Summary: A VERY hesitating 3 stars.
Review: Okay, I will try and make this review as helpful to Muppet-goer's as possible.

It is about this muppet dude who thinks his family is from space and he's not wrong! Everything goes out of hand when him and his pals go looking for his family and get trapped in cages instead!

Muppets From Space deserves about 2 and a half stars only. It is for people under 9 years of age. If you loved 'The Muppet Movie' you will enjoy 'Muppets From Space'. But in my opinion, 'Muppets On Treasure Island' is better than both of them.

Okay, I'm not exactly a muppet maniac, I have seen 3 movies of theirs. But the treasure island one was by far the best!

Muppets Maniacs should see 'Muppets From Space' a.s.a.p but there are alot of better movies out there at the moment!

Review: The combination of the 70's funk tunes and muppet humor is a winner. My kids and have watched this several times. It is not the best muppet film but still pretty good. I wonder what Jim Henson would have done with it?

Summary: Hilarious!
Review: The Muppets are back in a new zany comedy, Muppets From Space. The Muppets embark on a hilarious extra-terrestrial adventure in hopes of finding out about Gonzo's past, and discover that Gonzo's family members are aliens from a distant planet!

Gonzo then gets a message that his relatives are coming for a visit...from outer space! But when word gets out on Miss Piggy's talk show, UFO Mania, that the friendly aliens are coming, a secret government agency led by K. Edgar Singer (Jeffrey Tambor) captures Gonzo and goes to great lengths to learn when his extra-terrestrial family will arrive.

Now only the Muppets, led by Kermit and Miss Piggy, can save Gonzo and make the world safe for a friendly alien invasion!

Summary: THE best!!!
Review: There is not a Muppet move that I don't own, and this is by far one of (if not) the best. We watch it over and over again with our 15 month old. It is incredibly entertaining for all of us, and has some good one-liner's for adults. It's just AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME - mark my words!

Summary: Here's to all the Gonzo fans!
Review: This "newer" Muppet film is great. Lots of us feel that the muppets have lost a considerable amount of spunk since Jim Henson's death. However, this movie is really cute since it puts Gonzo in the forefront, with Dave Goelz (Gonzo's origial muppeteer) continuing to provide Gonzo with his wonderfully eccentric personality. Finally, a muppet movie that allows the gradual transition of many of the Henson-era characters to the background and gives the spotlight to the newer characters. I'd much rather see more of Rizzo, Pepe and that giant Bear (along with Gonzo and his original muppeteer) than watch new muppeteers try to fill Henson's and Oz's shoes with Kermit and Fozzie. No one else will ever be able to do those characters as well.
The movie has a fabulous soundtrack of old R&B songs from Earth, Wind & Fire, James Brown, etc. My daughter loves the music. Though I loved the old muppet movies with original songs, I appreciate that the Henson organization knows when it's best to try a new approach rather than to poorly copy the old formula. The movie would suffer dearly if they tried and failed to come up with great new original songs.
Gonzo's search for his ancestry, and ultimate discovery that he's from outer space, offers a wonder of dialouge and jokes. Jeffery Tambor is phenomenal as the evil Covnet employee searching for aliens. This is a great movie for kids. My daughter is 2 and she loves it. And I find myself retelling some of the jokes and lines of dialouge to my husband. I highly recommend this one.

Summary: Very lucid
Review: This film expresses so much about what I love in America. Its completely crazy, absurd, yet you can't help falling in love with it. Honestly, what really gets me is how young it makes me feel, falling about laughing watching this.

This really is so very clever. The humour is as innocent as a summer rose, and yet so very sophisticated. this take me back, way back to days spent reading William, or stuff by Ursula Moray Williams, when the world was a happier place.

My favorite bits (I mean, I really had tears in my eye) are when the mouse does bench presses using mouse trap, and miss piggy at breakfast "the bacon just left..."

The music is also truly wonderful, George Clinton no less is present and I suspect had a good deal of influence. Somehow I can see this guy being on the set being the marvellous fool and getting everyone going...

There is a very warm feeling in all this. Quite amazing...

Summary: Not Jim Henson
Review: This is just the perfect example of why Muppet movies should have been left alone after Jim Henson's death. He was a great man who brought meaning and love to children's movies. ("Life's like a movie, write your own ending, keep believing, keep pretending...") Disney movies and the like have very little substance when compared with one of Jim Henson's films. He could bring a serious theme to his silly, zany cast of characers and make it work. This movie doesn't work. Not only have original songs been abandoned, but it's a meaningless spoof of every sci-fi movie ever created. It can't possibly compare with Jim Henson's gems, where all the gags, music, and pupeteering worked towards a truly optimistic, American theme.

Review: this is such an unexpected movie. This is my kind of humor. Its definetly worth watching, especially if you are a muppets fan.

Summary: Take us to your whatever!
Review: This movie brings the Muppets back to their original format of playing themselves with several human cameos. There's really only one thing it's lacking and that's the reknowned Muppet musical numbers. Without them, it's a bit dry, but newcomers Pepe the Prawn and Bobo Bear make it well worth it. A very 'Close Encounters' ending makes it an enjoyable space movie spoof.
