Summary: The actor who plays little prince is wonderful!
Review: Although the music seems a bit broadway camp, the story shines through very well. Gene Wilder as the fox is fantastic. And the little boy who plays the Little Prince is visually amazingly accurate as in the book.

Summary: The Little Prince
Review: As you may have noticed, everyone that gave a review, loves this film,

I first watched this film as a kid, and I was completely blown away by it. The Little Prince is one of the most touching movies I have ever seen.

Summary: Someday my Little Prince will come..
Review: cute movie! If you've read the book, you'll be slightly disappointed by this adaptation. The story is interwoven with cheesy musical numbers. However, it does well to capture the charm of the story. Plus, the Little Prince is a really cute kid! When you hear the laughter in the stars, your heart will melt. It's a good video, but probably one that you'll only watch in your English class.

Summary: Just See It!
Review: Easily one of the most enchanting movies ever. Once you see it you never forget it and you'll beg everyone you know to see it. I also recommend that you order the book. (from Amazon.com of course!) Do yourself a favor and see this film.

Summary: Grandiosa!

Summary: LOVED IT
Review: I also had to see this movie in my french class in high school. It is so much fun. The snake is the best. It can be slow if you have never seen it before, but if you have watched it once or read the book you will love it and will want to see it over and over again.

Summary: This is soooo great!
Review: I completely love this movie! I saw it when I was younger, and totally liked it. The music was wonderful, especailly "I never met a rose." Another reviewer didn't like the snake sequence, but they must have been blind! Anyway, give it a try, then read the book if you haven't already.

Summary: Not Appropriate for Children
Review: I did not read the book. I only viewed this movie. I thought it was very strange, but that is just personal and I would not give one star for that. I gave it one star because I do not think suicide belongs in a children's movie. The snake sings a song telling the prince that one bite from him will solve all his problems, without his body, he will be able to go back to the planet he came from, etc. With the teen suicide rate so high, this is not a message I want in the mind or soul of any child of any age. Also, the snake seem analogous with the serpeant who tempted Eve in Eden, in other words, the devil. I recommend that parents watch this movie first before they let their child view.

Summary: Hillarious! Smoke something first...
Review: I first saw this movie in a high school french class. I've read the book and loved it. Very deep yet not too subtle story for all ages and highly recommend you expose yourself to this story in some way... yet this movie is just plain silly. It's a musical! It has perfect casting to make it a hillarious slumber party must have for high schoolers, probably entertaining for children as well, but not the beautiful piece of romantic art some might be looking for.

Summary: Best kids movie ever
Review: I purcahsed this movie in '74 when it came out. My kids would have the whole neighborhood in to watch it once a week. I love seeing Gene Wilder, Bob Fosse, and Richard Kiley in a children's movie and the music and dance movements are creative. My youngest is 27 and she still watches the movie about once every 6 months for the music, dances and the comfort. We still wonder what happened to the actor who plays the Prince.
I WANT IT ON DVD so I can pass it along to my grandchildren.
