Summary: A Sweet and Sentimental Comedy, Perfect for the Family
Review: Casper is a fun children's film, that can be watched as a family and keep everyone entertained. Unlike many movies concerning ghosts, there is no reason to worry that this movie will upset or scare even the most sensitive children. Casper is sweet and endearing, and even the vicious ghosts in this film are far from threatening as they quickly bring a smile to your face and alleviate any tension with humor.
However, Casper does not rely souly on laughter, and has a strong plot to back it up. It raises spiritual questions that make you think, and has very heartfelt moments of intense emotion. You grow to care about the characters as we watch Casper and Kat in their simultaneous search for friendship, and Dr. Harvey in his quest to resolve his own unfinished business and finally get some closure.
Malachi Pearson does an outstanding job as the voice of Casper, and portrays all of his emotions very convincingly. You can also look forward to a great performance from Bill Pullman, and will love hating the bumbling villains portrayed by Cathy Moriarty and Eric Idle. Unfortunately, there are times where Christina Ricci seems to have some difficulty filling her role as Kat, and occasionally makes scenes awkward and unconvincing.
The score for this film is beautiful, and adds a great deal to the spirit and mood of the movie.
There is some light use of profanity that I don't find necessary or appropriate for a family film aimed largely at children, but it can be easily overlooked.

Summary: This movie rules! Devon Sawa is sooooo hott in this movie!
Review: Casper is a very cute and funny movie with great special effects. I also luv this movie cuz Devon Sawa is in this movie. I am not a fan of Christina Ricci but did she did a great job playing Kat. I am also no longer a Devon Sawa fan but he looks so darn hott in this movie! He's now 21 (almost 22) and he's lost his good looks. When Casper was made in 1995 Devon was only 17. My favorite scene is when Kat sees the real life Casper for the first time and they slow dance together. I also luv the scene when Casper makes breakfast for Kat and Dr. Harvey. This a great movie and I'm planning on getting it soon. I am also going to buy the soundtrack. Casper is a great movie! It deserves 5 stars!

Summary: Great movie! Devon Sawa is soooo cute in this movie!
Review: Casper is a very cute movie with great special effects. I am not a fan of Christina Ricci but she did a good job playing Kat. I am no longer a Devon Sawa fan but he looked so darn good as Casper at the very end. That's one of the other reasons why I luv this movie, aside from it being very funny, cute and Devon! He's 21 now and he's lost his good looks. When Casper was made in 1995, Devon was only 16. I know this movie has been out for 6 years and I still haven't bought it but I'm planning on buying it soon. Casper is a great movie!

Summary: "Scream or Sugar?"
Review: Casper the friendly ghost lives in an old mansion along with 3 other ghosts. When a ghost chaser (Bill Pullman) and his daughter (Ricci) enters the mansion to get rid of the ghosts, Ricci becomes friends with Casper. Meanwhile, Pullman focuses on the 3 other ghosts that "live" in the mansion. This is first "normal" role for Christina Ricci, who was in the Addams Family movie as Wednesday.
