Rating: Summary: Amazing animation Review: I saw the other insect movie prior to this and thought "How could another animated movie top this?" Well it happened. This production is geared more toward the adult than the very young. Much of the storyline followed actual traits of ants, but the part I really enjoyed was the directors commentary on the film. Absolutley spellbinding. Watch the show than the commentary.
Rating: Summary: THIS IS FOR KIDS?! Review: tHIS MOVIE WAS A BORE! ALL KIDS I'VE SEEN HATED IT! THEIR WAS TOO MUCH CUSSING AND TOO MUCH VIOLENCE. THE PLOT WAS HORRIBLE AND THE CONSTANT VOICE OF WOODY ALLEN WAS REALLY ANNOYING.
Rating: Summary: WONDERFUL FILM Review: I LOVE THE PART ABOUT ANTOPIAS AND INSECTOPIAS IT BROUGHT RELIZIM INTO THE FILM...WE ARE ALL SERCHING TO BE NOTICED AND SERCHING FOR THE PERFECT PLACE.
Rating: Summary: HAIKU MOVIE REVIEW: Review: Some good lines throughout. Impressive animation. Remember lines more
Rating: Summary: By far the best computer animated film to date! Review: Not only was the animation terrific (especially the facial expressions), but it had a good story as well. As long as you don't mistake this film for a kiddy cartoon, you will be sure to enjoy it!
Rating: Summary: A great animated movie for a more mature audience. Review: I really Like this movie. The only downside is that Woody Allen gets annoying. The mix of mature comedy and action is great. People who bad mouth this movie because of its language and violence don't relize that the target audience was adolescent-adult. This is a great flick for anyone who wants to see a grown up version of "A Bug's Life."
Rating: Summary: An Ant named Z gets into a lot of trouble Review: I love this video so much I own it. No one else seems to like it as much as I do. That is why I'm writing this. So the people that made it will know that there is a preson out there that likes it!
Rating: Summary: Superior movie in all respects Review: Antz is an amazing film technically, but the real joy is in watching the performances by Woody Allen and Sharon Stone. The interplay between these two reminds me a bit of early Allen films like "Sleeper" where the heroin is disgusted by the neurotic hero, but is eventually won over. Unlike the slapstick of "Sleeper" however, this film is a bit more serious with a particularly profound battlefield scene. There is some violence in "Antz", but it is well done and shouldn't be that disturbing to young viewers. An example is when some soldier ants get 'disolved' by some acidic termites. Although I enjoyed "Bug's Life" too, this is the movie that I'd see a second time. Excellent music score.
Rating: Summary: Great 'in-flight' movie Review: As a uk man in his late forties, why did I watch this film? Hey, I was flying to start my vacation and I wanted something to get my mind into neutral. It almost worked. I think I slept through some of the love scenes and the slower parts of the story (it was a transatlantic flight!) but the humor, the technical brilliance and the detailed animation kept me hooked. I think I'll ask my kids to buy me a copy of the video as a birthday gift.
Rating: Summary: Outstanding Entertainment and Computer Animation! Review: A++ for a great DVD! The computer animation really showed through in sparkling detail and the digital dolby audio was great! The director's comentary is one of the neatest features about this DVD. This film was aimed more at adults than children which may have made its marketing campaign a little misleading. I'm not a big fan of Woody Allen, but I did enjoy his performance as Z, and with the rest of the all-star cast, this film couldn't go wrong!
