Summary: 100% Excellent
Review: This amazing video is probably one of the best possible gifts available to buy without putting a hole in your pocket! Great story line and will entertain all family members... especially the kids!

Summary: Over-rated and too much CG.
Review: This movie really disappointed me when I saw it. I was expected high-quality animation with efficient and moving story-telling. I thought it was going to be accessible to everyone (like a certain famous animation company) but I found myself hating it more and more because of the amount of religion being forced down my throat. If you've never read the bible or, like myself, don't care about the bible, don't expect to enjoy this film. The animators seem unable to judge when to use CG and when to use traditional techniques. For instance there is a scene in the Pharoah's palace with large marble pillars (much like the ones in the Sultan's palace in Aladdin) yet they are as flat as cardboard. Elsewhere in the movie I got the impression that the animators had forgot how to draw without the aid of computers. On to the casting, which was truly criminal. Almost all of the Egyptians were cast as British actors (Helen Mirren, Patrick Stewart etc.) and the Hebrews cast as American's. Is all hope lost for Hollywood? Plus, how can anyone cast Martin Short and Steve Martin together without injecting their parts with at least some comedy (and I don't mean a jar of water falling on someone's head). Truly a bizarre choice of casting. Now I come to the movie's only good point: the soundtrack. This is truly an epic soundtrack. Hans Zimmer delivers as well as he did in the Lion King and Stephen Schwartz equals his effort from the Hunchback of Notre Dame. This is a soundtrack that has to be heard to be believed.

The only reason I would recommend this film to anyone is that it showcases the soundtrack (which, to be honest, is worth the price of the DVD alone) perfectly.

Review: A boy drifts into the pharohs life and becomes his son. He finds out he isn't the son of the pharoh and runs away. He helps the jews escape.

Summary: AWESOME and Breathtaking!
Review: This film not only stirs the imagination, it also makes you believe that this story really took place over 5000 years ago. Dreamworks really outdid theirselves with this masterpiece.

Summary: great movie, AWESOME DVD extras
Review: The movie is great, but dreamworks really went the extra mile with this DVD... the extra features are amazing - a full length documentary on the making of the film, feature length commentary by the directors, special effects/animation documentary, multi-language clip of one musical scene, great animated menus - overall an excellent DVD - too bad Disney isn't giving their masterpieces this type of treatment.

Summary: This was a very loving and meaningful movie!
Review: I'm 11 years old and I just saw this movie in music class. I think that this is a movie for both kids and adults. It's also a great way to learn about our past.

Summary: The Best Animated Movie Ever!
Review: Never in my life have I seen a better animated movie!!!!!!!! The music is magnificent (well except for that one song about playing with the big boys). Schwartz is fabulous! At time this movie was scary, so I would not recommend it for younger children. The songs during the end credits sung by Whitney, Mariah, KC, and JoJo were not nearly as good as the ones in the actual movie! I have to say this one thing: EDEN RIEGEL (YUOUNG MIRIAM) YOU ARE DA BOMB!!!!!

Summary: it's wonderful to know a bit of god's stories!

Summary: truly excellent intrepretation of Bible
Review: The video is an excellent example of quality bible storytelling for Christian and Jewish faiths. In most accounts, it is extremely close to scriptual context, and gives the viewer an amazing view of how Moses would have lived. There are a few minor non-scriptual references, but there are not essential to the story. The musical score is excellent, and the animation is superb. It is a truly rich experience.

Summary: This is the first animated movie that has ever evoked tears
Review: OK, I'll admit I have never seen Bambi. This movie is great though for the old and young. The animation is phenomenal. I plan on giving it as gifts for Christmas.
