Summary: Simply great! It makes all other movies look like Duck Hunt !
Review: Like Edward Scissorhands before it,this is a classic of bizarre, true beauty and main charecters you instantly are in love with.Everything is in this movie. It is like the Star Wars of the 90's only better and more imaginative. This should go down in history as a land mark film by a truly, creative mind(Tim Burton).

Summary: A Disc that never gets old
Review: This is what Dr. Sues's cartoons would like if they were in a perfect 3-D world. This is an incredible movie because it puts some of the overpriced computer rendered movies to shame. It has great music from the composer that brought the music in the Batman movies and the Simpsons. Great DVD! I also have the VHS version, and the DVD version makes it look pathetic.

Summary: Better On Video, But The Music Is Still Bad
Review: This film looks far better on video than it did in the theater. The overall look of the film is splendid, and the script is terrific. In fact, the only thing that is missing is a musical score of any quality. Elfman's songs for this film are an absolute failure. Completely unmemorable, boring, and finally a drag on the film. I would watch this film far more often if the music was any good.

Summary: The best movie I have ever watched
Review: This movie blew me off my feet. The amazing special effects are a site that must be seen. The strange plot and wonderful sets worked well with the strange but wonderful music. YOU HAVE TO BUY THIS ONE.

Summary: Definitely not one of the best.
Review: I really enjoy animated movies, but this one just didn't work it's way into my heart. The songs are stupid and uncaring. The scenes are sometimes terrible and uncalled for. I did not like this movie at all. I'm sorry, but I wouldn't buy this video.

Summary: Amazing effects for Adults too!
Review: This movie is amazing because of the special effects and the excellent music provided by Danny Elfman (Batman, The Simpsons). Everytime these guys are involved with a movie, you know it's going to be good with the exception of Pee-Wee Herman! Anyway, this movie on DVD is soo much better than the VHS version. I own them both, and what a difference it makes in visual and sound. The characters are so original, and the plot is the way everyone would want it to be.

Summary: An Absolutely Gorgeous Disc!
Review: If you love this film then get the DVD. I don't remember it looking this good in a theater. Picture and sound is razor sharp. Only lament is the complete absence of supplementary material. The "theatrical trailer" promised on the packaging is actually a "coming soon to video" trailer which, quite frankly, bites it.

Summary: ghastly entertaining, with laughs to scare anyone!
Review: This colorfully entertaining film will take you back to the scary nightmares of your childhood. And, with any luck, will put the entire holiday season into perspective. I wish that there was a film like this when I was a kid!

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: A classic for all ages -- inventive, funny, great songs.
Review: Nightmare Before Christmas is wildly original, full of great songs, great lines ("nothing's more suspicious than frog's breath!), and great animation. Our 2 year old fell in love with it -- for a while, we were watching it twice a day (which was worth it to hear him sing the songs). A true classic.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: delightful music and visuals, great characters and lyrics
Review: We love this movie and watch it often, sometimes three times in a YEAR!! We also say and sing phrases from the movie all the time. We aren't total losers, we just like most things done by Tim Burton and Danny Elfman.
