Summary: The best Disney film of all time
Review: If "The Little Mermaid" was evidence that Disney was back, "Beauty and the Beast" was proof that it was better than ever.

What a wonderful, beautiful, romantic film, punctuated by great animation, and knock-em-dead musical numbers. No wonder this was the first animated film nominated for a Best Picture Oscar!

Not many animated films qualify as date movies, but this one is a date flick extraordinaire.

If "Beauty and the Beast" has a flaw, it's that it can be quite violent for children. It includes a rather violent fistfight to the death, a knifing, and quite a bit of gunplay to boot. Thankfully, it's easy to see the scary stuff coming, so you can have your kids turn away before they see something they shouldn't.

Overall, though, what else can I say? This film is a classic, and a wonderful moviegoing experience. I recommend it most highly.

Summary: A magical and enchanting classic with terrific music
Review: In the late 1980's, the Disney animated feature came back with the wonderful "The Little Mermaid". It was followed by "Beauty and the Beast", an even better film. I think that no animated Disney film that has been released since then is on par with this one.

For many people, animated movies are still kid movies. Disney proved that this is false. The characters in "Beauty and the Beast" are three-dimensional (with the exception of the comic relief Lefou) and the picture is very often immensely dramatic. The songs, which became more and more wearing in the following pictures, fit wonderfully in "Beauty and the Beast" and the images, like the enchanted castle, are striking.

I cannot think of many films of the 1990's that reach (or even come close) to "Beauty and the Beast's" sense of wonder and magic. This is truly a film that Disney will long be proud of and that has earned the term "classic" that the sudio automatically aplies to all its films.

Summary: Enchanting And Visually Stunning.
Review: "Beauty And The Beast" is one of the greatest of all animated films. It is rich in detail and story. The castle here is breathtaking in it's design and the animation is superb. The music is romantic and moving. It also has a great message for kids about how loving someone means loving them for THEM, and not just for their appearances. I also value this movie because...I fell in love with the most beautiful girl in the world, Veronica Tarin, to this movie.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever Made
Review: Well-conceived, well-animated, carried out as perfectly as any movie whether animated or not. The music is undeniably brilliant, not to mention catchy as hell, while the lyrics are full of quirky and edgy yet accessible images. There is simply something for everyone. Parents will look forward to watching more than their kids. Anyone objectively evaluating this movie who gives it a thumbs down is an IDIOT.

Summary: Re-release this, Disney. Please!
Review: This is probably the most beautiful piece of animation ever to appear onscreen. ('Fantasia' and 'Pinocchio' are very close behind it.) I saw it when it was first released in the theatres. When it was available to buy on video in 1992, I bought a copy for a friend but stupidly assumed that it would be around for awhile so I could get one for myself. I'm still kicking myself. I WANT THIS MOVIE. So do a lot of other people I know. If anybody with any strings to pull is reading this, please be aware of that. This film is incredible! The songs are worthy of being in a Broadway play, they're so good. Belle is a wonderful, smart heroine and Beast has a beautiful soul. . .one can see why Belle fell in love with him, despite his unusual appearance. A great film to see by yourself or with your children.

Summary: The Best Movie Ever??
Review: Perhaps so. It's certainly my all-time favorite. One of the keys to B&tB's success is that it fills so many roles:musical, romance, comedy, and even action/adventure. It is simple enough for the kids to enjoy, yet engrossing enough for the adults to enjoy. It is, after all, "The most beautiful love story ever told." If you haven't seen it, watch it. If you don't own a copy, buy it. Quickly, because they're going fast.

Review: THIS MOVIE BIT! I COULD PULL BETTER STUFF OUT OF MY NOSE

Summary: It ranks up there with "Snow White " and "Pinocchio".
Review: This is one of Disney's best movies. It ranks with "Snow White" and "Pinocchio" as one of the greatest Disney animated features. It deserved to be nominated for Best Picture.

Summary: WOW!
Review: This is the BEST movie! It's awesome! Everytime I see it I am amazed anew that this movie is that good. The songs are absolutely just....GREAT! What other superlatives can I apply to this? This is probably my favorite musical, and it stars cartoons, not people, although the voice talent is nothing to scoff at. (How about Lumier, the candlestick who's mannerisms are so heavily French he's scarily close to Maurice Chevalier, who is just a little creepy?)Wow. Just wow. If you're the last human in the civilized world who hasn't seen it, or one of those people who (horrors) didn't like it, well, buddy, you missed the train. See it, shake your head in wonder: who knew those stupid kiddie movies could be so good?
