Summary: 3 and a half
Review: I'm a big Superman fan so I enjoy every film in the series. I didn't especially feel the magic watching this movie that I felt in the first one, but it was pretty good. There were a few cheesy scenes, like one in which a little boy falls over Niagara Falls and his legs sort of bend outwards (characteristics only of a dummy I guess). Still it had some first-rate shots: Clark Kent changing into his Man of Steel alter ego while he runs through the alley. Christopher Reeve really beefed up for this one; he's huge! Massive muscles! WHEN I WATCHED THIS MOVIE I FELT LIKE I WAS READING A COMIC BOOK. That's exactly the genre I got from it. So watch it if you love Superman.

Summary: BETTER than part 1
Review: Again,I also have this in my video collectio Chris Reeve,Margot Kidder, Jackie Cooper, Marc McClure return in this sequel. "Superman" faces his ulitmate challenge, sqaring off against the three villains introduced in the begining of the first movie

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Almost Perfect-A Must See
Review: If only the BATMAN movies were done this well! Anyway, Superman II is an absolutely excellent sequel to an absolutely excellent film! Christopher Reeve is magnificent, Terence Stamp is great, and John Williams' score is simply breathtaking! Even though the storyline is perfect in parts, it screws up royally by making Lex Luthor into a campy villain. Which is a shame because Gene Hackman is a great actor and could've given Luthor the wickedly evil personality he truly possesses (Stamp more than makes up for that with his stunning performance as General Zod). Also, Margot Kidder is not at all the type of woman one pictures in the role of Lois Lane. Overall, though, this film is one of the VERY few well done comic book superhero movies.

Summary: The best Superman movie ever!!!!
Review: Superman II was one of few sequals that was better than the original. Chris Reeve did an OUTSTANDING job as usual. Great special effects. Great story-line.

Summary: THE MAN OF STEEL TAKES OUT THE TRASH!
Review: superman 2 was kicking butt in my home town and in others superman 2 is truly a classic just like the first superman

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Of course it's a great flick!!!
Review: Enough with the nitpicking already! I was a 13 year-old, seasoned superhero comic book collector when "Superman II" was first released, and I was in absolute awe! I saw it FIVE TIMES in the theater (which for me is unheard of, even to this day). Yes, they gave him extra powers, but excitement of seeing Superman fight THREE evil Kryptonians was just too incredible to allow one's self to whine over minor details. Plus, who would have ever thought that Lois Lane would ever actually find out that Clark was Superman? (Remember, this was about 15 years before the TV show with Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain)

Say what you want, "Superman II" is one of the best superhero movies ever, surpassed only by the "Batman" film with Michael Keaton and Jack Nicholson.

Summary: The Man of Steel is back.
Review: I think Superman 1 and 2 are very well put. You have to give credit to the music by John Williams which was very excellent. Now you know why Superman had that music. It was exciting every time he would change into Superman you would hear that very exciting music that would give you goose bumps.

Summary: A continuation of a fabulous fantasy
Review: This is a wonderful continuation of the first, however, you must watch it from a Director's Cut. The copies you buy or rent at the store are cut by about twenty minutes. You do not see Superman Blow up his north pole home near the end, so wouldn't that answer the question of why he never went back there in the later two sequels. The action is also cut and spliced somewhat. Many cut scenes like this has cheapened the full effect which can be a wonderful story. I collect films and there is nothing like the feeling of having an edited film, almost like your not welcome to the full effect. Let's find the director's cut and praise Lester. this movie is more than 127 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!And while I'm on it, Superman 3 is more than 125 minutes.

Summary: An Old Favorite!
Review: Usually when you watch a movie like this as a little kid, you love it. And when you go to re-watch it years down the road, you hate it.

This is not the case with Superman II.

The plot is fantastic. It deals with Supes' father's old nemesis, General Zod, and his two psycho-pals. We recognize the scenes of the three foes being imprisoned from the first film by Kel-El (Clark Kent's real father on Krypton), and in Superman II they make a return. It all starts when Supes launches a dadly nuclear bomb into space, and when it explodes, the shock-wave hits the strange, suspended-animation floating cell (which happened to drift into our solar system). The shock wave causes the mysterious confinement to break, and the evil three are released. Since they are from Krypton, the Earth's sun gives them special powers - but they won't put their powers to good use like Superman.

This movie has it all, action, drama, comedy, suspense (yaddah yaddah yaddah). The only check I mark off of this movie is for a lame new "superpower" towards the end of the film ...

Overall, an unforgettable film. Check it out.
