Summary: A real good movie
Review: This is a pretty good movie. Nice to catch all the wild ideosynchrosies of Batman's greatest villains. Boffo Acting is really bizaar. This has the greatest commentary by Batman and Robin themselves telling and joking about what they think about the whole thing.

Review: Although I hadn't seen this camp classic in many years, my memories of it were less than stellar. I recall not having quite as much fun with its hilariously preposterous gadgets & situations and over-the-top acting as others apparently had (if you doubt it, just read a few of the four- and five-star customer reviews for this bad boy). But despite these woes, I decided to grab a copy of the Batman: The Movie special edition DVD when I found it at a price I just couldn't pass up (hint: it cost me almost as much as I'd pay if I had rented it from the local Blockbuster). I then headed on home, threw the platter into my player, and......took a look at the Special Features, starting with the interview featurette starring Adam 'Batman' West and Burt 'Robin' Ward. Both guys recall their memories making the flick, and throw in a few interesting anecdotes here and there. And as one might expect, they get a bit pretentious and start spoutin' stuff about how the show and the movie "changed the face" of entertainment, and a bunch of other making-things-look-way-more-important-than-they-actually-were nonsense. 'Course, seein' as how the classic Batman TV show is pretty much the only thing these guys ever really had goin' for them career-wise, the philosophy lesson from these ComiCon mainstays ain't all that much of a surprise to me... The second featurette shows the designer of the Batmobile (actually, five of 'em were made for the show & the movie) in front of his famed creation talking about the conception, design, and production of one of Hollywood's most famous cars. It ain't too bad to sit through if you can get over how sad the host looks as he discusses the finer points of his immortal automobile (i.e. all the gadgets & gizmos, etc.). He really milks his fifteen minutes of fame for all they're worth here, lemme tell ya... Also thrown in are the obligatory theatrical trailers, all of which really sell to the viewer just how silly the adventure is gonna be. Topping things off are several still images from the production of the film, as well as a few of Adam West's Batman pics from his personal collection. While I'm not all that hip to slide shows, I found a few of these images kinda amusing... Finally, there's the movie itself, with a secondary audio track featuring West and Ward talking about the production as the mo-pic plays on. The usual anecdotes and memories were recounted (including Ward's near-death experiences whilst performing a few stunts for the show) as well as a few laughs over how ridiculous many of the situations were (West especially enjoys the "trying-to-get-rid-of-a-bomb" scene he did). They also talked about how Batman always seemed to have just the right tool at hand to foil his foes (Bat-Shark-Repellant spray, anyone?) They also touched on how many of the principals, especially the guys playing the villains, seemed to be having the time of their lives hamming it up in their roles. And I gotta admit, it did look that way to me... Anyhoo, I decided to give the flick another look withOUT the secondary track, and English subtitles turned on. While I did enjoy the madcap zaniness and utter corniness of the feature presentation a lot more this time around, I found the subtitles somewhat wanting. In order to keep up with the fast-paced dialogue, the subtitles were composed of only about half to two-thirds of the lines the performers were spouting off-- usually, many of the descriptive adjectives were lost. So if you're deaf or hard of hearing, and you wanna know every bit of dialogue the actors are saying, you'd either better be really good at reading lips or get a copy of the script. Summary: Holey Polaris Batman
Review: Heres where it bagan for Batman and Robin! Altho for useless info to write, Batman was always original a comic book strip and a few things had been made, this is whats considered the original Batman! Its where it shot to fame! This movie was originally set to kick of the TV series of Batman but due to some errors, it was released after the first season of the TV show airing! Which turned out to be a good thing! Altho the newer generation who have never seen the TV series would probably turn there nose up at this film because its nothing like what Batman has been seen as since Tim Burtons 1988 Batman that was more a darker movie then this lite slap stick comedy! and further the kids these days are probably even more familuer with the cartoons and things and wont have a clue what is happnin with this completly diffrent Batman and Robin! This movie starring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin is sure to make you laugh at the silly and goofy comedy that made this original Batman tale so fun! Its filled with gags and corney jokes but sure will make you chuckle, and for this great price you wont be disapointed! As all the villains of Gothem City have united to try and take over the world , its up to Batman and Robin to save the day! The plot ventures through an inventor named Commodore Shmidlap who has a new invention that can deydrate people and unfortunalty the crooks The Joker, Catwoman, The Penguin and the Riddler have joined forces and kidnapped Shmidlap and stolen his invention! Holey Smokes Batman!!! Batman and Robin are soon on the case for the rescue and there wacky capers take them on an adventure with silly action and fun for all with gadgets and devices that are so far fecthed that there unbeleiably funny! And the over the top humour adds even more fun to watching this goofy sillyness but fun and enjoyable comedy of the dynamic duo! The bonus features also contain an audio cemmentary by Adam West and Burt ward and they give you some interesting information about the film and the TV series! Theres some photos and other goodies to enjoy, provided you dont try to compare this to the new age cartoon image of the caped crusader or the 4 movies Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever and Batman and Robin, then you will enjoy this over the top wacky ride with the original gothem city dynamic duo Batman and Robin!

Review: This was a good movie. It had a good storyline (although there were psrts that made no sense. I still dont get the "russians are goonna slip on banannas part. And the rubber shark? That was HILARIOUS. But, overall, it was a good movie

Summary: Batman- Men In Tights...
Review: Yepper, it's all here: the day-glo colors, the ultra-ridiculous plotline, the joyously evil villans including Joker (Cesar Romero), Riddler (Frank Gorshin), Penguin (Burgess Merideth), and Catwoman (Luscious Lee Meriwether), and of course Batman / Bruce Wayne (Adam West) and Robin / Dick Grayson (Burt Ward). In this epic we have the four terrors of Gotham kidnapping delegates of the UW (United World). They've turned them into piles of dust with their dehydrator gun! Can the dynamic duo save the delegates in time? Can the nasty ne'erdowells be stopped? Will they all be forced to do the bat-usi? Don't touch that remote! This is Batman as he was in the swingin' 60s, cape, mask, bodystocking and all! I loved it. My only complaint is that it could have been a little shorter. I kept waiting for those commercial interruptions...

Summary: IT WAS TOLERABLE, BUT IT'S KINDA SILLY
Review: THIS QUICKLY MADE MOVIE, WHICH WAS INTENDED TO CASH IN ON THE HOT TV SERIES, IS SOMETIMES UNEVEN. THE CAPED CRUSADER [ADAM WEST] AND THE BOY WONDER [BURT WARD] BATTLE THE JOKER, THE RIDDLER, THE PENGUIN, AND THE CATWOMAN. LET ME JUST SAY THIS; THE MOVIE WAS OK, BUT THIS MOVIE AND THE TV SHOW WAS SERIOUSLY MAKING BATMAN LOOK LIKE A JOKE. ANYWAY, LIKE THE TV SHOW, IT'S MUCH FUNNIER THAN IT IS SERIOUS. BUT, IT SHOULD PLEASE THE FANS OF THE TV SHOW.

Review: I laughed so hard while watching this movie that I threw up two pounds of chocolate pudding, and my cat licked it up! To perform so brilliantly, Adam West must ACTUALLY believe in Batman! God knows I do! I'm also a known liar!
