Summary: Spy Kids Studio Falls Flat on it's face
Review: This movie was one of the year's best kid's movies,
my kids loved it and wanted to see it again.The release of the video was a big expectation in my household BUT.... This is NOT the Special Edition of the movie, the added scene(s) are not in this version so I will NOT buy it till it is released WHOLE.... (I may rent it though)

Review: Okay, Maybe your kids will enjoy it, but there are 100's of better movies for them to see. Shrek was a million times better than this garbage. This is like a really bad version of Hudson Hawk. The underwater scenes towards the beginning looked exactly like the underwater scene in Star Wars-The Phantom Menace (Episode I) and the(pointless) mutated Secret Agents were some of the worst "creatures" I've ever seen. I'd also like to say that the computer animation in this film looks about as stylish and up to date as a ... 1930's Special Effects movie. ...

Review: ok i'm a big fan of movies and you see i really love movies that take place in mexico and spy kids is my favorite movie heck i watch it every week heck even when i have sleepovers we watch it listen my best friend andrea she's from mexico just moved here and she says that move is uncool but i give it two thumbs up because this movie is my favorite

Summary: Great movie, shiitake DVD
Review: This is a wonderful movie, perfect for both parents and kids alike. If you want a more in-depth review of the movie, read somebody else's review. Unfortunately, the studio opted to include practically nothing extra in with this DVD. The trailers for the movie, some ads for upcoming products, two foreign language tracks, and English subtitles are all that are included. No behind-the-scenes featurettes. No "making-of" documentaries. No cast and crew interviews. (Not even cast and crew "filmographies.") And the worst sin of all: No Robert Rodriguez director's commentary. (See the DVD of "Desperado" or "El Mariachi" for examples of just how informative and entertaining commentaries can actually be.) If you haven't seen this yet, you need to, but rent it first. Save your money for the (cross fingers) Special Edition.

Summary: Watch OUT. You WILL end up buying it twice!!
Review: Am I the only person who is REALLY tired of studios releasing a movie on dvd & shortly thereafter seeing it released as a special,collectors,platinum,director's cut,deleted scenes,alternate endings,bonus footage...edition. If you notice, this dvd states in it's description that it contains the ORIGINAL theatrical presentation. Does anyone think that in a few months the additional footage which was rereleased in theaters will be included in a new dvd designed to make you buy it TWICE? The dvd makers are the new snake oil salesman. At least with this one you can be 99.9% sure that if you wait you will get a better dvd.

Review: ...on VHS tape. My Panasonic DVD-A120 rejected the disk, however, and refused to play it. Your young children will enjoy it, but the DVD may not play on your machine.

Summary: How cool was this movie?
Review: I only wish I were kid when this movie came out. Being in my twenties I was still amazed by all of the cool gadgets and stunts. I highly recommend this for anyone who never wants to grow up.

Summary: The movie is fantastic, and it deserves better than this DVD
Review: The DVD came out today, and I was really excited, I couldn't wait to go to the store and get a copy. Imagine my surprise when I discover that this DVD is just your bare minimum run of the mill DVD. It has the trailers, but that is it. The special edition that was released in theaters recently? The DVD box makes absolutely no mention of that. As near as I can tell, it's the original version. Don't get me wrong, the original was fantastic, but I expected so much more. I wanted to hear commentary by Robert Rodriguez, a featurette on the movie, etc- ANYTHING. I mean it's pretty sad when "Dude, Where's My Car" completely blows a movie like Spy Kids away with the DVD extras. My advice: wait for a deluxe edition to come out- I know it's coming!

Summary: High on Adventure
Review: Expect fun from Spy Kids, because it's like a more than average James Bond movie. Only in this movie, they're kids. 2 Kids must rescue their spy parents.. and uncover obstacles along the way. The cinematography was nice, the action scenes were eye-opening, and this is a nice escape for about 2 hours. For an awesome adventure movie, get Spy Kids. My only complaint is that the DVD has no features. Still a great buy.
