Review: This movie was TERRIFIC! I read this book before I saw the movie. The book was very well (duh)written, and one of my friends had seen the movie and she said that if I had read the book and liked it, then I just HAD to see the movie! So one day I was out shopping with my mom and a couple friends,me and my friends were looking at the movie section and I saw the movie The Witches and I pick it up, run out of the video section, and go looking for my mother. She said I could get the movie! As soon as we got home I inserted the movie in the VCR. I LOVED the movie (and boy do I mean LOVED)! I highly recomend this movie! If you don't have it ... ADD IT TO YOUR COLLECTION!

Summary: The Witches: A movie ANYONE can *enjoy*!!!
Review: This of course is about wish, and I assume you wonder if it is any good? Well there are more good reviews then bad reviews are'nt there? Why not rent it, its worth it. So the story go's there is a child named Luke with pet mice and his grandmother they are in London staying at a hotel. He go's into the conference room one day to play with his mice, when a bunch of ladies meet in the room shortly after he arrives, he soon finds out they are all witches, and plan to turn each and every child into a mouse, and they start with Bruno a very plump child who is turned into one by eating food they gave him with the potion in it. AND MUCH MORE happens!!! It is not cheezy just plain good ol fashioned fun!!! This movie is very fun, and is something you can indefinetely watch more then once, its not just a movie for children or adults, but for both!!! Its cute, and fun! So check it out today don't hesitate. If you hate it ya hate it if you don't you don't, but if you DON'T see it you'll NEVER know if you WILL or WONT!!! *HOPE* this was helpfull!!! God Bless ~Amy

Summary: DVD NOT WIDESCREEN!!!
Review: This was a fantastically great movie so WHY, WHY, WHY is the DVD only a pan & scan, 1.33 : 1 aspect ratio embarrassment instead of a glorious 2.35 : 1 aspect ratio like it was originally shown in theatres? Hopefully, this mistake will be rectified soon. I simply refuse to waste the money on a pan & scan DVD of a movie intended to be widescreen. If the DVD were widescreen I would rate it a 5/5, but as it is, it only deserves a 2/5.

Summary: A Great Film, a terrible DVD
Review: Why did they produce such a cheap transfer? There is some artifacting, the blacks are not solid, there's lots of edge enhancement, but most of all, it's full frame!
