Summary: Edge of your seat type movie
Review: Harry Potter is the greatest movie I have seen in a long time.(besides the GRINCH)Every thing about the movie was just how I dreamed it would be.I had been waiting impatiently for the movie to come out and I must say it was definantly worth the wait.I loved all of the actors from Uncle Vernon down to Harry himself.I loved Profesor Dumbledor,Hagrid,Hermione,Ron(Ron was unexpectidly funny in the movie!)and of course Harry my absolute favorite of the cast. For those people who say the movie is a waste of time, thats like insulting all of harry's fans. The movie was great and I can't wait to see the 4th movie. As a wrap up,I think J.K.Rowling is amazing and has a wonderful imagination. She makes you feel like you are right next to Harry in the forbiden forest or hiding from filch in the library under an invisibility cloak. She makes you feel like you know the characters personaly when you are reading the books.I would not be surprised if I meet Harry or Ron in a grocery store.I thank J.K. Rowling continuiosly for making reading fun for many kids around the world.PS.(GO SEE THE MOVIE,YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU DID!)

Summary: YOU HAVE ABSOLUTLY GOT TO SEE THIS!!*_*
Review: I saw this masterpiece in the theaters and I will no doubt buy the movie for DVD or VHS. It is splendid, I would give it the five stars because of the great alignment with the book as well. However, it is also good quality movie according to graphics to me. There are only a few parts missing that arn't VERY important. YOU MUST SEE THIS!

Summary: WOW, pretty darn impressive!
Review: This is a must see, not only for Harry Potter fans, but for any fantasy junkie. Having not read any of the books I was surprised at every turn and thoroughly enjoyed it. It had something for any age of fan, from my 8 year old (who was worried she'd be scared) to my 13 year old (who was REALLY worried she'd be scared). All three of my daughters were mesmorized by this film. There were many things that stood out here: the special effects were wonderful, from the obvious (moving chess pieces, cats turning into people, the 3 headed dog) to the not-so-obvious (my favorite: the pictures on the wall that were always changing), the soundtrack was superb, and the way they used suspense without being too explicit. I would recommend this movie to anyone looking for a great adventure. Just be forewarned: at two and a half hours be prepared for an uncomfortable bladder. You won't want to leave for even a minute.

Summary: It could have been better if only...
Review: This was a great movie, no doubt about that. However, the movie doesn't follow the book exactly, which I can completely understand. If it was copied from word to word, the movie would take ages and everybody would be complaining at the end of the it. 2 1/2 hours is good time for a movie like this, but I seriously think it could have been a little longer, so that they could put in more stuff so that the movie wouldn't have been as confusing. For example, Hagrid said that Professor Snape had help protect the Sorcerer's Stone, but turned out Snape didn't help protect it. Only Professors Sprout, Flitwick and McGonagall helped, along with Fluffy, the three-headed dog. They totally cut out that part, which I felt the director had to put in so that there would be a connection. But overall, this was a great movie and I would recommend to all serious Harry Potter fans.

Summary: Harry the extravaganca!
Review: A million stars for Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone! J.K. Rowling's ever popular books breath life, allowing us to see for ourselves the magic of her imagination on the big screen. First-timers Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry, Rubert Grint, who plays the red-haired Ron, and the smart-mouthed but ever clever Emma Watson, who plays Hermoine, are simply amazing. I predict great things from them all...

Now understand that just because the main characters are fairly young doesn't make this strictly a movie for kids. It actually has a twisted plot that you have to pay close attention to in order to fully understand, and there's also many character names that are hard to remember. That hardly detracts from the film's entertainment factor, though, so don't worry. I'm just making the point that while Harry Potter the books may be more on the lines of a child's read, the movie is not. It's sort of long for real young ones to handle anyways. It's approximately 2 hrs. and 45 mins long. That's perfect for me, though, because I'm a sucker for anything associated with fantasy. You shouldn't bring anyone to see this unless they're at least 8 years old...

One thing that keeps sticking in my mind are all the special effects, especially the first time they showed Hogwarts school (or castle) for young wizards and witches at night. It was almost scary looking, like it was going to come to life or something. But who knows, the staircases like to switch, so... Other things fantasy buffs will find themselves loving are things like a human chess game, a three-headed dog, a bloodsucking fiend, and a two-faced villian. So in closing expect the unexpected. This a fun and witty film. Maybe even the best of the year...

Summary: The Dry Spell Is Over! He's Heeere!
Review: Indeed, the slow box office business is no more. The crummy over-hyped films that came out over the summer are gone. Now here comes the most hyped movie of the year. Now, we all know from Pearl Harbor what happens when you advertise and hype a movie too much. And seeing how this movie is about the most recognized fictional book character in history, this movie could've been a nightmare.
But it's not. It's quality work totally worth seeing, even if you're completely Harry-impaired.
I've heard it said that if you haven't read the books, you won't understand the movie, and that is NOT TRUE. The movie is so well put together and self-explanitory that you can walk into the theater not knowing one thing about Harry and come out with the whole story inprinted in your head. The acting is fabulous, the teachers are all perfect in their parts. A lot of pressure was put on the kids, and not even Haley Joel could've played one of these parts better. Daniel Radcliffe is awesome as Harry, and while he could've been a little more reved up for things, he didn't overdue it. Emma Watson was perfect as Hermoine, she said the lines exactly right. She said them with ooomph, but didn't totally overdue it. But the best actor is Rupert Grint, who plays Ron. He knows his character better than he knows himself, and I'm even a little ashamed to say I enjoyed watching the story unfold onscreen rather than in the book. Rupert has humor, warmth, and firmness when he needs it, and he was so enjoyable to watch, as was everyone else.
However, there were a few disppointments. The Quidditch game looked so computerized it wasn't even funny. But then again, what was I expecting? Real kids to get knocked off brooms and hit their heads on the side of the castle? And the scenes with The Dursleys are a little rushed, but that's really nothing to complain about. I wish Hagrid had had a little more feeling and gotten a little more upset at times, but again it was nothing to complain about. What I'm basically saying is while there are a few minor setbacks, this movie is totally worth all the hype and deserves to overdue Titanic with the cash.
P.S. I read 3 out of 4 books, but I had forgotten the ending to this one, and I was totally shocked!

Summary: Why I Loved Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Review: Harry Potteer was yhe best movie I've ever seen. I didn't like the fact that they took out a lot of the good parts. My favorite part was when Hagrid put a tail on Dudley. I liked it when they {Harry, Hermoine, and Ron} had to get to the Socerer's Stone.
