Review: How can I only give this movie a 5? I give it a 10, no, an 11 and 1/2. It deserves an A for effort and then some. Spielberg at his best. With these kooky kids, you can't just watch this movie once. My mother watched it once...once. And you know what? She missed all sorts of great lines. Like "You were saved by the pinchers of power" or "In your dreams kid, 'cause then your mom would have to take you and you'd have to make it with her and your mom." Woo-hoo. That's all I can say...Woo-Hoo.

Summary: Great Adventure film for kids
Review: This film is great fun to watch. A group of kids nicknamed The Goonies try to save their small town in Astoria from property development hell, and go in search for the lost treasure of One-Eyed Willy. What follows is a great load of gags and little adventures. Great to watch with the kids. This bunch of actors were supposed to be the new generation of brat-packers but it never really came off for them-pity but it's a still great film!

Summary: It's a great adventure!
Review: The Goonies, a story about a group of friends who persue a crazy adventure to find the lost treasure of One Eyed Willy and save their town, is an excellent and action packed adventure. The story is wonderfully strung together. The story has a lot of comedy and romance that also help to move the plot along. This is a classic, must see video!

Review: "Ye intruders beware, crushing death and grief, soaked with blood, of the tresspassing thief." For me this movie brings back a lot of memories growing up, and now it's on DVD. Those who own the video version should buy the DVD, you are missing out. Of course there are deleted scenes, including the convenience store and octopus scene, all of which I had never seen but heard about for years and they are great. There's also a very cool commentary with Dick Donner and all of the Goonie kids, which thumbnails the movie and shows all of them together at various point in the movie. It's strange seeing how different they look, yet still the same. There is also the Cindy Lauper music video "Good Enough" with the Goonies, Steven Spielberg, and several old WWF wrestlers (Capt. Lou Albano, Roddy Piper, Iron Shiek, Nikoli Volkoff, Fred Blassie, and Andre the Giant) as well as the theatrical trailer and original behind-the-scenes documentary, all of which I had never seen before. The picture is finally widescreen (anamorphic, woohoo!) and the 5.1 sound is very good. All in all, this DVD is a great addition to any library and a must for nay Goonie fan.

Review: There's a lot of things missing in this DVD that I was hoping would be there that I surprised no one else noticed unless they're so used to the cut version that they didn't notice. I'm disapointed.

Summary: CHUNK FOR PRESIDENT
Review: This is easily the best movie ever made. People talk about Citizen Kane, The Godfather, Pulp Fiction, Goodfellas, Dr Zhivago, The Ten Commandments.. Back to the Future, Silence of the Lambs, Star Wars and the Empire Strikes Back.. NONE of these flicks even holds a CANDLE to the Goonies.. (okay Star Wars and Empire hold a small candle to the Goonies.) My opinion, of course, but i bet there are others out there who feel like i do. It's amazing how well this flick stands up to the test of time. I've seen this flick at leat 50 times since it came out way back when, and watching it on DVD these last couple days, it's just as good.
I won't even say the plot. you know the plot. Okay if you don't know the plot, a bunch of kids whose neighborhood is about to get forclosed on find a treasure map and go searching under Cannon Beach, Oregon for buried treasure. Hilarity and high adventure ensues. This flick is genuinely, belly laugh funny, it's scary, it's got TREMENDOUS heart. This flick is a treasure, and the DVD does the film justice. You get an awesome commentary with all the principles of the cast including the director, and they are all very funny and the commentary is genuinely insightful. It's great to see them all together remeniscing about the shoot. What's cool is you actually get to see them too.. every so often the movies goes down to the corner of the screen and you see everybody sitting there watching the movie. an awesome technique. You also get a making of documentary and a couple outtakes.

Best Movie Ever.

Review: house to use the bathroom?

They call themselves "The Goonies." The secret caves, the old lighthouse, the lost map, the treacherous traps, the hidden treasure, and Sloth. Now it is time for you to join the adventure as a group of kids embark on a wild adventure after finding a pirate treasure map.

Richard Donner (Timeline, Lethal Weapon 1, 2, 3, 4, Maverick, Conspiracy Theory, Scrooged, The Toy, and Superman 1 & 2) directs this marvelous film of a story created by Steven Spielberg. His work, and goal I'm sure, was to create kids that we all knew growing up while placing them in an adventure we all wanted to join.

Donner's Goonies is the all time greatest kids tale, in my opinion, of a adventure of kids, while they are still kids, right before they grow up, and lose those childish impurities right before they turn into teenagers. We all remember being children and not being able to wait to be a grown-up, and "The Goonies" captures these kids in one last adventure before that is lost while you and them start growing-up.

Every adult wishes they had that feeling back, right before the world of responsibility sinks in. As a kid you saw this as a movie you loved, because the kids are the stars, and get to do things that are only accomplished on the big screen or in books. As an adult watching this movie you get a whole other take.

"If God made it that way, you'd all be p_ssing in your faces!"

The Goonies is a must have in your DVD collection, and shame on you if it isn't already there. I love this movie, and every kid who ever steps foot in my house will have to watch it...twice. In the 80's kids grew up on Star Wars, and The Goonies.
