Summary: Goonies and a trip into my back yard.
Review: After seeing the goonies, I was inspired to go on a treasure hunt of my own! Packing up some cookies and a thermos full of milk, I headed into my back yard! Making it to the sandbox, I began to dig and dig for hours! But alas, no treasure! Covered in dirt, I headed back into the house! My mother screamed! I didn't go treasure hunting much after that.

Summary: it deserves more than 5 stars
Review: I first watched this movie when i was 11, it is such a fantastic movie. Now 7 years later I still love this movie. Its about a group of young kids that go out on an adventure. They find a map which leads them through a great maze of traps and bad people. The laughs are many with characters such as the portly CHUNK and a young Corey Feldman. I have watched this film at least 30 times and it never gets boring. If you haven't seen it what are you waiting for.

Summary: A Delightful, Adventurous Romp
Review: Although Spielberg has gained much recognition for dramatic tales of historical significance in such memorable movies as Schindler's List, Amistad, and Saving Private Ryan, it is still fun to see movies like these with fast-paced adventure and a lot of humor. Much like Rohit Dharwadkar's baunch, this film can trigger several emotions at once. I was also impressed with the versatility of character use, from the brainy inventive kid to the wise-cracking jokester to the mild-mannered kid with all the submissiveness of Steve Horwitz. Overall I would highly recommend this film to anyone with a sense of adventure.

Summary: " This is the BEST movie I have ever seen!"
Review: This was the best movie I have ever seen in my whole life! I watch it all the time with my best friend. This movie was so funny and exciting, yet serious. It makes you think if there really was such a person as One-Eyed Willie! This movie deserves much credit. This is a Must-see movie, not to mention is great for all ages!

Summary: A NOSTALGIC LOOK FOR ANY 80's FAN LIKE ME! RECOMMENDED!
Review: It reminds me of being 6 years old again and wayching it then!

I'm still waiting for the DVD with all those enigmatic deleted scenes like the snack shop and the octopus. Nevertheless, buy it for its nostalgic value

Summary: takes me back to the eighties!
Review: I saw this one in a mall theatre in 1985 with my family, and ever since then, whenever I watch it, it totally takes me back to the eighties! I love it! Sure, if it came out today, I would probably just think that it was okay, but it's like it's own little time-capsule.

Summary: The Goonies R Good Enough For Me.
Review: Every once in a while that one movie that a whole generation of kids knows and loves comes around. For my generation, it was The Goonies. My friends and I used to pretend we were characters from the movie for months after we saw it. Goonies features one of the most endearing monsters ever, in the Baby Ruth loving Sloth, a young hero, Mikey, who uses his words incorrectly, an asian James Bond wannabe, Corey Feldman as the obnoxious Mouth, and the obligatory fat kid who everyone makes fun off. This group of kids, and Mikey's older brother and his girlfriends go off on an underground treasure hunt in an effort to save their beloved homes which are about to be torn down to make room for a country club. All the while their being pursued by The Fratellis, a family of counterfeiters who are after the same treasure. Awesome in everyway, despite it's script flaws (Data mentions the infamous non-existing octopus scene deleted from the film because it was deemed unnecessary). Goonies features many in jokes Mikey (Sean Astin) at one point exclaims "Holy Mackenzie" an obvious reference to his then teen heart throb brother Mackenzie Astin from Facts of Life. Can't go wrong with Goonies. It's that good.
