Summary: Inconceivably a great film
Review: This is a great movie. It is entertaining and will appeal to the kids Fred Savage's age to the grandparents Peter Falk's age. I combines many elements, romance, adventure, action, comedy, and a fairy tale into one great movie.

After you see it, you can quote Inigo Montoya and Vizzini to your friends, and sound superbly intellegent.

--A note to parents-- I wouldn't have called it a kid's and family film, because I see it as more of a teenager's film. It is rated PG, and has some violence and language it it.

Inconcievable!

Summary: A Hot Fairy Tale !
Review: Not even the romantic classics, Gone With The Wind, Casablanca, Romeo and Juliet, can surpass this love story. It has everything: Romance, castles, swordfights, danger, and the strong message that true love can be found. Don't ignore the kiddie title. It's a tale adults need to hear more often. The book from which it is based is a masterpiece, eventhough it was not a bestseller in America. Beautifully done, I think it's possibly the best romance novel ever written. The film was excellent in casting, location and musical score. You've gotta buy the soundtrack ! The Princess Bride is superb in every sense of the word.

Summary: good movie!
Review: The Princess Bride was a funny, adventurous, and romantic version of a fairytale. What was really good, is that it caught my interest in the start, and kept me interested for the whole movie, because it had lots of funny parts and interesting parts. I think if heaps more people watch it they will like it to. It's a great movie for all ages - that is, if adults enjoy fairytales.

It was well set out because all the characters were totally different from one another. They all had their own different personality and were funny in their own sort of way. There was two main lines that lots of people will remember about the movie: "As you wish" and "Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." These certain lines are part of what make the movie how it is.

The dialogue is pretty complicated, using very complex words like: 'inconceivable'. It makes the movie look old, but it shows that a talented writer has written it. If you feel like watching a romantic, happy ending fairytale, go out and hire "The Princess Bride".

There is occasionally action in the movie. Like when Inigo fights Westley on the cliff - top, when Inigo kills Count Ruben and when Westley fights the R.O.U.S. (monsterous rats)

In conclusion I think everyone should at least watch this movie once. It is an interesting but funny version of a fairytale. So if you like the sound of this movie, go out and hire it!

Summary: Violence, romance, adventure and excitement.
Review: Violence, romance, adventure and excitement are all in the hottest fairytale on the block, 'The Princess Bride'. Unlike the usual fairytale it has heaps of comedy and was a fairytale that wasn't real serious and the bit of humour added was fantastic. It had all the humour we require for a good laugh, whilst still being suitable for the younger viewers. The best thing about this film was that it was so different to the usual fairytale that we read out of big books to little children because it wasn't made up of fairies and monsters. No matter how old or young you are 'The Princess Bride' is for you.

The actors were all well suited for their parts. Westley was a strong character and Cary Elwes was the perfect actor for this part. Buttercup was a beautiful character and Robin Wright made her part great. The prince had an evil side and in Chris Sarandon eyes it could be seen. All the characters were fantastic but Billy Crystal developed the miracle man scene by adding his skills in the humour area that made the scene explode with comedy.

Throughout the whole film there is so much action to be seen, in fact it would have to be one of the fairytales with the most action I've ever seen. There were great flames of fire and rodents of unusual size to be found in the fire swamp. In the castle there are sword fights and cliffs to be climbed with great battles at the top. There was enough action to equal an army in this film.

'The Princess Bride' had it all. It was a humorous film that made it accepted by the teenage group and it would appeal to almost everyone. There was a lot of variety that gave it that extra edge above the usual fairytale. Romance for the girls, action for the boys and in total most would enjoy the film. I personally found the film interesting and I did enjoy the variety and the costumes and setting was fantastic. It was set in the country in parts and others were set in the castle and towns. The setting was so realistic and the actors in their costumes were magnificent. They acted as if they were their usual clothes.

Summary: The princess Bride is an all right comedy film.
Review: The Princess Bride is an all right comedy film. Out of five I would give it three because I don't like romantic which is all kissing and pashing movies. Plus it dragged for the first scene which is all country area which I don't like and it is not exactly not my sort movie I like movies with a lot of action.

Probably the part I liked the best was when Count Rugen ran away when Inigo said "Ello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." It was very funny and everyone would like that scene.

But if you like romances you must hire the film. Billy Crystal was the Miracle Max which plays a very important roll because he brings the Dread Pirate Roberts back to life and he was pretty good. He was quite funny how he makes the miracle pill and his wife said "are you sure it will work"? and Max said, "it will take a miracle". The movie has also got a bit of action like Inigo and Dread Pirate Roberts have a mighty duel and Inigo asks him if he has 6 fingers on his right hand and Dread Pirate Roberts replies "no, why do you ask? And Inigo says, "Because he killed my father when I was a little boy and he gave me these to scars on my face now lets fight ."

The battle of wits is quite funny because Vizzini and Dread Private Roberts because the Dread Priate Robets put Iocanne in the 1 cups of wine and they drank to the death. Suddenly Vizzini bursts out laughing and he said, "never go to war with a Sicilian" and falls down dead. like I said before if you like romantic movies you must hire the film.

Summary: An enchanting fairy tale
Review: THE PRINCESS BRIDE

The princess Bride is an enchanting fairy tale. From giant rodents to princesses. With exciting sword fights and passionate love scenes. Inigo Montoya with his famous line "Hello, you killed my father, prepare to die..." "Mawwaige" says the priest "Mawwaige", and Fezzik the friendly giant "As you wish," said Westly. Westly is a spunk who falls in love with Buttercup. These are just some of the fascinating characters in this classic fairytale.

This film is one hilarious but romantic masterpiece. Full of fun - filled characters and classic romances. To not see this movie would be a shame. Nobody should miss out on such an enjoyable film like The Princess Bride.

Here is a small peek of how this fairy tale goes... once upon a time Buttercup fell in love with Westly. When he did not come back from his journey, she heard he was dead. She later found out Westly was still alive, but had no choice but to marry the Prince Humperdink... ... do Westly and Buttercup live happily ever after? Well if you want to know you will just have to watch the movie for your self because I am not going to tell you. So go out and borrow the movie today, you will be glad you did!

Summary: Good movie for little kids.
Review: THE PRINCESS BRIDE I myself thought that the Princess Bride was an all right movie, it would be good for little kids who like romance, action and a bit of comedy. The two main characters were The Princess Bride - Robin Wright and Westly - Cary Elwes. At the start of the movie Princess Buttercup and Westly were in a love-hate situation but soon they realised they loved each other. A bit after that Westly mysteriously disappears and sad Buttercup becomes engaged to the evil prince, Prince Humperdink - Chris Sarandon, later on Buttercup is captured by a ragtag band of Sicilians, but is rescued by a mysterious man called...

The actors in this movie were very good especially the man who Played Inigo Montoya was a very good actor and his most famous line was 'Ello, you killed my father, prepare to die...' that line came up everytime he met someone and thought that that person would look like he would kill someone. Princess Buttercup was a sweet and caring young woman and perfect in every way. Westly was a farm boy that worked for Buttercup and everytime Buttercup would ask her something Westly would say 'As you wish' at first Buttercup was just thinking that he was being polite but later on in the movie Buttercup realised that when Westly said 'As you wish' he was actually meaning 'I love you'.

Some of the most famous lines were (a) 'No more rhyming! I mean that' 'Anybody want a peanut?' (b) 'You keep using that word - I do not know what it means' (c) 'Mawwaige' (d) 'As you wish' (The most famous of all) 'Ello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father, prepare to die'...) I like these lines because they are cleaver and funny, there are a lot of other very good lines in The Princess Bride, but these ones stand out more to me.

In my closing I would like to say that I thought that this was a very good movie and it will be for a lot of people for many years ahead. Also if you have a little kid or even if you are grown up, go and rent it and enjoy, this is a movie that is great to see for the first time and also one that you can watch over and over and over again, even when you know all the lines and what is going to happen next, you will still love it! The Princess Bride is definitely one movie that I liked and will for many years to come thank you!

Summary: Great movie
Review: An all right movie bound for the classic lists, but not my cup of tea. I say this because I found the movie to drag on for too long at parts and because to keep me watching without straying to other subjects. The Princess Bride is a movie about a man and a woman bound by true love. Like all movies set in the medieval times it has its share of action romance and adventure with an added touch of comedy.

During the movie the actors work well with each other but I didn't feel as though the characters weren't given enough to do through out the story and that is the fault of the writer and producer. I say this purely because I didn't manage to engage myself in the movie and what the characters were feeling.

The storyline lacked in parts. I found that in certain parts of the movie the odd funny line and good script hooked me but overall there were long periods where I really did struggle to stay attentive and as with the characters I think this is also the fault of the writer and producer. Whilst watching this movie I felt that the characters lacked in depth I say this simply because I felt that they didn't give enough back ground on them and I could understand where they were coming from.

But I must say that it did succeed in making me go away repeating lines from the movie (however I'm not sure if that is because they were used excessively throughout the story). Any way here are the lines from the movie that I found most memorable. "Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father prepare to die." Or "Inconceivable" The other line that is well used during the movie is "As you wish" Westley uses this line as a way of telling Buttercup that he loves her. As I said at the start of this review, this movie is based on a typical boy meets girl loves boy and so on theme. But this movie has a twist for unlike most fairy tale fantasy movies the Princess Bride has small bits of comedy and, as a whole is not a very serious type of story. So out of five I would give the Princess Bride a 3 because although I thought it dragged on it had a few redeeming features and I would recommend it to anyone interested in seeing it.

So to conclude this review I will give a basic summary of the movie. I personally thought that the plot lacked and that it dragged on however the actors were fantastic. The movie had some really memorable lines to and I like that sort of thing so all up a great effort by the movie crew in producing this movie and I certainly recommend you have a look at it ( I didn't quite find it the best to watch but you might love it so have a look). 3 out of 5.
