Rating: Summary: Heartwarming Review: A beautiful, heartwarming story. A must for all dog-lovers.
Rating: Summary: Little Heroes Review: I think Reanna ______who played 'Charlie' did a great job of putting across her emotions as she interacted with the dog who was her best friend, and the other girls. It is easy to relate to her because most of us have been left out when we were kids. My grandkids and we like it because it is a true representation of what kids do to each other. It showed how the influence of parents shows up in our kids. Also Charlie believed in her parents love for each other. She was a fortunate one, because it continued on a happy side.I did not like how the husband was always put in the bad guy role. He was always saying 'sorry' when, to me, the wife was the whiney, unhappy one. It just seemed to me she was always putting him down. Farm life is very hard. You can't count on crops. She was not behind him;not supportive, but indignant in her nagging suggestions that he could be making more money. The greatest thing about all Clyde/Fillmore films is that we can count on a film the whole family can enjoy without offensive language, sex scenes, sexual inuendoes or violence.
Rating: Summary: Wonderful family entertainment!! Review: This is a wonderful quality film, in that it embodies all that is good, together with the humor, pathos, and suspense. It focuses on the life of a little girl, who narrates the film from an older age, and she reflects on her earlier life as a girl. We see her with her dog, and follow their many adventures, and we see her home and feel with the struggles her parents are having keeping their farm above water.
Then there's the next door neighbor, and his outward warmth to her, and the movie just engages you and draws you into its net.
This was a fine family film and it's highly recommended from this viewer!!!
