Rating: Summary: The best version of the classic of this classic! Review: As a child I remember waiting for Christmas to come around so that I could see this wonderful program again. When it was played on cable this last year, I was unaware of it until after the fact. Please release this charming classic again. It brings back so much of my childhood back to me. I even remember many of the songs. Please bring back the childhood to many viewers.
Rating: Summary: It's not Christmas without Mr. Magoo! Review: I have tirelessly searched for my favorite childhood Christmas tale. I can sing every song from start to finish and can still hear Tiny Tim as he wishes for "Razzleberry Dressing." Please - please, if anyone out there has any pull - we want this great video re-released!
Rating: Summary: Please re-release this video Review: I echo the sentiments of many others when I say that this was also MY favorite Christmas special when I was a child. My anticipation for the annual showing of this at Christmas was just as strong as for the Wizard of Oz showing in January. Like others, the thing I remember most is the wonderful music and the touching re-telling of the Dicken's classic in a way that small children can comprehend and love, and that adults will enjoy immensely. The networks are missing a good bet by not showing this every Christmas or two. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE re-issue this on video so that my children (and myself) can enjoy it also.
Rating: Summary: brings back the kid at heart & your sense of caring for all Review: It has been a tradition in my house for well over 30 years. Every year at Christmas we watch this great classic and every year we all have that big lump in our throat at the end of the movie. The tape I have is very worn. I hope they release the movie again soon............
Rating: Summary: This is the best version of "A Christmas Carol" ever made. Review: Mr. Magoo's rendition of Mr. Scrooge is truly the best personification of an uncaring, insensitive man who, on Christmas Eve, is remarkably confronted with himself just as he is. Outstanding characterization and animation are just a part of this film. The best music, song and lyrics are also included. I highly recommend that you listen to the words of some very special songs, "So many grains of sand in the world, why such a lonely beach? "Where is someone to click to my clack? Where is someone to answer me back? I'm all alone in the world."... Tiny Tim "We'll have the Lord's bright blessing and everything that's in it..." ...Mr. Scrooze and friends singing together after Scrooze's conversion to kindheartedness. This is the best!
Rating: Summary: Fabulous!!! Review: Every year, our family loves to get out our tired, worn, taped off of TV copy of Mr. Magoo. It is our absolute favorite version of "A Christmas Carol". We love the songs, the acting and the story. We even like to watch it in the summer when it is really hot outside. We hope that someday soon, this charming movie will be re-released, and when it is, we will purchase several copies. If it isn't released soon, we will all be "locked up for loonies".
Rating: Summary: Great music, unforgettable animated characters. Review: Who can resist a song with the words "Jingle, jingle, coins when they mingle make such a lovely sound." Jim Backus as Scrooge is absolutely terrific and the other animated characters will make you laugh and sometimes cry. Don't miss this one. It's a great classic with a fun twist as this is a "play" within a movie starring the eccentric Mr. Magoo. I'll bet you'll be singing along with the score before each song is over.
Rating: Summary: the greatest STORY EVER TOLD Review: i really liked it growing up, i think this version of the dickens classic tells it all and its for all ages.i really hope it comes back out to purchase
