Summary: Bought it for my daughter, loved it myself!
Review: Very clever dialog, and Drew Barrymore was excellent. Angelica Huston played the part perfectly. Awesome scenery and fine supporting cast. Even we manly types will admit to liking this one. Well, in private.

Summary: Ever After: A Fairy Tale for all ages
Review: Not since the original 1950 Disney version have I seen such an idealistic retelling of the greatest fairy tale ever written. Drew Barrymore is well-cast as the independent, free-thinking (if not unmistakenly feminist) Danielle, Dougray Scott is a fresh and appealing Prince Charming (here known as Henry), Patrick Godfrey is loveable as Leonardo da Vinci (an unexpected "fairy godmother"), Anjelica Huston in the role she was born to play is the most promising wicked stepmother yet seen in any medium of entertainment, Melanie Lynksey prevents the possibility of a trio of villains as the kind and loving stepsister Jaqueline, while Megan Dodds draws more hatred from the audience than Huston's stepmother as the wicked (and extremely spoiled) stepsister Marguerite. The scrpit is purposely updated so as to shed light on the subjects of feminism and the rights of servants. All in all, the cast is splendid, the script is fresh and the lavish costumes and elaborate sets make for an all around enjoyment of everyone's favorite fairy tale. Hooray for Cinderella!

Summary: everything about this movie was wonderful
Review: From the actors to the scenery and location to the retelling of the whole "Cinderella" story I thought this movie was magnificent. It is by far Drew Barrymore's best work ever. It is without a doubt a must see movie.

Summary: Absolutely Enchanting
Review: This movie was excellent. Drew's Finest role ever she exudes warmth and charm in a character you feel for. Dougray Scott was a pleasant as the Prince "Charming". Huston was excellent as the nonchalant cruel stepmother. All the performances in this movie were extraordinary, which is why I consider this film the "feel good movie of the year"

Summary: Wonderful, spell-binding tale for all ages.
Review: I don't care for Drew Barrymore, but I seem to like her movies very much(?). A friend loaned me the video. I sat glued to my seat, then watched it again. Told my husband what a great video it was and we watched it again the next evening. We watched it twice more before we returned it to my friend after one week. Went out and bought our own copy. One of my favorite movies of all time, along with Out of Africa. Music and scenery glorious. Story moves along and holds your attention. Did I mention that I liked it?

Summary: GOOD FAMILY VIEWING
Review: This movie was really fresh and very beautifully filmed. Drew is the perfect Cinderella and the nice part is there is no magic - she does it all on her own. I would caution parents that there is one word that da Vinci shouts out that is inappropriate for kids, but that can easily be muted when viewing. If they had taken out that one word it would have been far better. My favorite scene is when Drew is allowed to take one thing away from the brigands who have captured her and she takes away the Prince - on her shoulders! - in her underdrawers!

Summary: Abosolutely breath-taking!
Review: I found this movie to be one of the greatest of the century! The actors were magnificent and the storyline was written wonderfully! It was sentimental, funny, romantic and just straight out sweet. I have always loved Walt Disney's Cinderella and I have always loved Drew Barrymore. So I was so excited to find out she would be playing Cinderella. Anyways, this movie was awesome!

Summary: Music, acting, scenery, story, rating, I loved it all !!!!
Review: What a wonderful movie to have available for our viewing pleasure. I enjoyed All the actors and actresses. They were all so real. Newcomer Dougray Scott (Prince Henry) was wonderfully cast. I hope to see him in other non R- rated movies. Drew Barrymore did an excellent job as Danielle. I like her more in this than anything I have ever seen her in. The King and Queen were so much fun, I loved them. Also Gustave and Leonardo DaVinci. The reviews I say said this is a movie for young girls...but I would have to say every women between 30 and 40 that I have talked to loved it. They wanted to see it again and again. Ialso noticed that after I bought the Soundtrack, I realized what a large part the music played in making the movie so wonderful. George Fenton has written an inspirational score. Every time I listen to it, it makes me want to soar. Well done Mr. Fenton and Mr. Tenant. I'll be looking for more of the same caliber of work from the both of you...And please hurry..I can hardly wait !!!
