Review: The Canadian company that transferred this sequal from VHS to
DVD should be ashamed. This, for the price, is the worst quality
DVD I have ever viewed. It is worse than a VHS time-shift recording at the slowest speed. I feel like I have really been

Summary: DVD Edition - Unable to play in 3 different DVD players
Review: There must be a bad batch of these DVDs. Both Anne of Green Gables and Anne the Sequel don't play in any of our DVD players (Sony 7000, Onkyo 910, Dell computer).We had also bought one directly from the Anne of Green Gables Store in Canada (but still region 1), it has the same problem, we exchanged it and the replacement had the same problem. We haven't had problems with any other DVDs, the only common factor here being these discs all come from Sullivan Entertainment. We have contacted them to see if they know of any authoring/pressing defects.

Review: these actors are just so brilliant. ilove this movie and all things anne. this one is not as good as the 1st movie cause it doesn't follow the book like the 1st one did but if you really liked the 1st one or the books you need to see this movie (not to give it away but she finally relizes she needs gilbert and i just loveit) ok so buy the movie people!

Summary: The Sequel-Anne of Avonely
Review: This is a great movie. It picks up were Anne of Green Gables leaves off. Anne is teaching at the Green Gables School and working on a book when she gets invited to teach at an all girls school. Her best friend gets married to Fred. Things are constantly changing arround her and so she decides to go to the all girls school to teach. There she is met by the Pringles and faces a challenge to get them to like her. By the end of the movie she has been asked to marry two different men. Emily's father and Gilbert Blithe. Whom does she choose? That I will leave for the movie to tell.

Summary: Good grief, People! This is horrible!
Review: What happened to the Anne that waited so many years for her Gilbert! I am sorry, but I own the first two movies and this one does not compare! What was Kevin Sullivan thinking! He could have explored their married life with children! Good Grief! They look old! Not reccomended for real Anne of Green Gables fans. I'll skip on this one!

Summary: Disappointing!
Review: You got to be kidding with this movie. In no way this has the same feeling as the first two movies. First, it doesn't even follow the books (Gilbert in no way goes into WWI) second, there is no "warm feeling" you get when watching Anne Shirley. It was a plot that was poorly put together. The original characters barely have a scene with Anne. I would say though the last half hour was not bad but in the whole it was a disappointing effort. Please if you're going to do a movie of Anne stick with the books. You can change it a little like they did with the first 2 movies but still it kept with the plot of the books this movie was an atrocious effort. I hope they get it right if they want to make another movie, please can we at least have Anne's and Gilbert's children in it!
