Rating: Summary: So cute of a movie! Review: Like my title explains, I thought this movie was so cute! My friends and I were having a sleepover, and after we got bored, we turned on the tv, and oh, behold, Passport to Paris was on! 3 girls + me were skeptical and were like, " Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen-- ugh, they are so over, but some of the other girls wanted to see it, so we ended up watching it. And the movie was good enough to keep us all awake. Ashley and Mary played some blonde Cali. girls who are interested in some things a girl maybe interested in, boys, makeup, parties, hair, shopping, you get the pic. They aren't total airheads, they do have brains and they do use them, unlike some reviewers imply. They had their Spring Break schedule all planned when their parents decide to pack them off to Paris to visit Gramps. I found the whole- Ambassodor of France thing really unrealistic, but movies can be imaginable. So of course they were really bummmed to find out that they couldn't go to a party with these hotties, but they were really excited that they were going to France. They have tons of escapades in France ranging from meeting cute French guys, to shopping, meeting a model - also unrealistic, but who cares, to helping out their Grandfather. Everyone who watched the movie thought the characters they played were realistic and like us and some of our friends. I don't understand how some people thought they were airheads and making the whole blonde issue worse. I mean, it wasn't that big of a movie, that it would make French people embarrassed or make people think that all blondes are dumb. But that is just my opinion. So overall Passport to Paris is a good movie to watch, but not to buy.
Rating: Summary: Where are you people from? Review: This movie is a waste of everyone's time. It's an embarrassment to the French language and the French people! Why would anyone voluntarily watch this video? Besides the embarrassment the French have to endure, they make a mockery of blondes, especially young teens. It's no wonder blondes are portrayed as dumb; we're here trying to set our reputation straight while these girls are prancing around as if they are 21 with their make-up and designer clothing acting like fools. Daydreaming about boys when they haven't even experienced real life let alone love. And of course their grandfather in this movie is The US Ambassador to France. Could they possibly make a movie about a real child's life, or have they lost touch of what that is because of the fantasy they're living? If you want to see a children's movie go see Pokemon, 'cause there is no point in supporting these girls' acting carrers. They may have been cute when they were two year olds, but they've never acted their age.
Rating: Summary: A Very Fun Movie Review: This movie was lots of fun! If you like excitement, watch it! Do you like to have fun? Well if you do, watch this movie and have fun with the Olsen Twins.
Rating: Summary: A Cute Movie! Review: I liked this movie well enough. It was cute and fun. My 11 year-old niece got me to look at it with her and I enjoyed it. The Twins did a good job as did the actors who played their "love interests." The whole cast was decent. I didn't like the idea much of two 13 year-old girls running off all around Paris with two teenaged boys they didn't know at all (they were only there for a week)! but I took the movie for what it was. A fun fantasy movie for kids.
Rating: Summary: Great Review: This movie was great. I grew up watching Mary Kate and Ashley, but I don't get to see a lot of their movies. This one was great, though. I can't wait to see another.
Rating: Summary: Passport to Paris is funny and has 2 really cute guys! Review: I think Passport to Paris is by far one of the best movies of 1999.Brocker Way and Ethan Peck are SO adorable and have the cutest French accents (even though it's easy to tell they're not really from France!)Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are wonderful actresses, but I think that Brocker Way and Ethan Peck should get a little more attention for their roles as Jean and Michel because the movie would have no point without them. But the movie is still great!
Rating: Summary: This movie was a DISAPPOINTMENT! Review: (Before I say anything, I'll state that I try to be open-minded when I'm typing reviews.) This movie was DISGUSTING! The Olsens played two airhead, 13-year-olds in France. The sights and landmarks were great, but the twins' characters were horrible. I don't understand why airheads like the ones they played would be sent off to France! They didn't even know that the rest of the world exists! They were rude and bratty from the time they arrived in Paris, and they went off with two Parisian boys whom they had never been with. They assumed they were good people and "perfect" because they were cute. That's like saying it's okay to be rude, and it's okay to run off with strangers. They also ditched their chaperone (, only to befriend him eventually). What I don't understand the most is why the Olsen twins decided to portray two airheads trapped in their microscopic world of California. That decision damaged their reputation in some people's opinions. Not to mention that it did nothing to combat the old stereotype of "dumb blondes". Some have said this movie has values and morals... NOT! Unless you consider girls concerned with superficial matters, boys, make-up, and flirting, role models, this movie is definitely not for you.
Rating: Summary: ugh! Review: This movie was disgusting! For one thing, what stupid parent would send their kid to Paris if they don't know what's going on in the real world? Not to mention that they were rude, bratty and sarcastic. The hairdos and makeup was nice, but unfortunately that was all I liked about it. I mean, hello? There was absolutely no plot to this movie! The Olsens are just getting worse and worse. This movie is a far cry from the rest of what the Olsens have produced. Rent this if you want to throw up!
