Summary: Beautiful and emotionally charged film
Review: Man reincarnated as homeless dog sounds like a typical Hollywood plotline for a mediocre comedy, but Fluke is a beautiful film about love, friendship and spiritual truths. Fluke, a homeless puppy, learns about life through a series of touching relationships with humans and animals. The scenes are not always Disney-like sweet, but are always filled with emotion. As he grows, Fluke's mind is bothered by periodic visions of a human life and the people he loved in that life. His animal instinct is that they are now in trouble and he begins his search to find them. Once reunited, both Fluke and his old family begin to learn spiritual lessons about life and love. Very touching film, for dog and people lovers. Beautifully directed and photographed as well, this film is a little known gem.

Summary: FLUKE IS A GREAT MOVIE
Review: Since I was 7 years old Fluke has always been one of my favorite movies. It is the story of a man who died in a tragic car accident and came back to life as a dog. He is remembers things from his human life and is destand to find his family again. He travels miles in search for his family. I recomend this movie to anyone who likes dogs and entertaing stories. Dont believe the people who say the movie is bad they are wrong.

Summary: An amazingly moving story; Beautiful score.
Review: This extremely touching film is adapted from James Herbert's novel about a man who is reincarnated as a dog. His quest to find his human family is plagued with mystery, including the fact that he must unravel the story of his old business partner. Only when he remembers what truly happened between the two of them on the night of his death does "Fluke" realize how he must let his family know who he is and set things right.

This movie is highly emotional and definitely a tear-jerker. I cry almost every time I watch it, at multiple parts; and I am not normally one to cry at movies. Although grossly underrated, this movie has one of the most beautiful soundtracks I have ever heard. Just listen to the music in the background throughout the entire movie; it's magical! Slightly eerie, this film is for anyone who loves animals, mysteries, the supernatural, or just a really good film.

The scene in which Fluke "tells" his wife who he is in the cemetery, before his grave, is particularly poignant. (I tell ya, if that lady doesn't get it by that point, she's thick!)

Summary: Wonderful movie tho not for kids
Review: This is a wonderfully atmospheric film...it is very poignant and provokes tears on a superficial level. On a deeper level it deals with the subjects of reincarnation and also misplaced retribution - the belief that the canine Fluke holds regarding his human demise is proved inaccurate in an abrupt realisation of his error.
The canine acting is superb; this is the film I had believed could never be made when I first read James Herberts novel "Fluke" in the early 1980s, then came "Look Who's Talking" and "Babe" and with them the technology to produce such a movie.
This is a real tear-jerker and one of the most beautiful films I have ever seen...but please do not show it to your kids if they are sensitive, as there is a certain amount of violence and a lot of unhappiness before Fluke finds peace in his fate.

Summary: Perhaps the most underrated film ever?
Review: This is quite possibly the greatest overall movie I've ever seen, and yet I don't remember a big hype even when it first came out. "Fluke" will make anyone cry...it is an unusual story about a man who is reincarnated as a dog and tries to prove to his family who he really is. The scene in which he shows his wife his grave in the cemetary gets you the worst. Break out the Kleenex; Fluke decides it's better to leave his family to themselves and goes off into the world alone. Reincarantion: I certainly belive in it. That arrogant reviewer who got so angry at this movie about it cannot prove that it does not exist. And who cares anyway? Aliens can't be proven either, but lots of good movies have been made about aliens. "Fluke" has a cute dog, good acting, a deeply moving story, and a breakout of animals from cats to monkeys from a laboratory. What more do you want? It is excellent. There's nothing not to like. I recommend "Fluke" with more energy than I've recommended any movie in the past.

Summary: The value of hearts
Review: This is, without exaggeration, one of the most touching films I have ever seen. Few have heard of it, but Fluke possesses a depth and innocence more moving than Titanic or A.I. I would recommend this to anyone, though I do suggest you be ready to cry.

Summary: NOT for little children
Review: This movie is definitely not for little kids. I bought the Fluke/Napoleon set for my 2 year old daughter because she loves puppies. Napoleon was PERFECT! But Fluke was an awful movie. It had 2 people dying and a dog getting shot with a gun in it (I don't want to introduce her to violence). I threw the movie away-what a waste of money.

Summary: Great movie!
Review: This movie surprised me as well, but I enjoyed every minute of it. A very orginal storyline and a great telling about how we see things and a lot of times, don't see them. Personally, I thought the ending with his friend was corny, just didn't sit right with the rest, but I did enjoy it all the same. Fluke is played by the same dog of Full House, Comet...Why they HAD to dye him, I don't know. Couldn't they just have gotten an Irish Setter if they were so big on his color?
