Summary: Nearly ten years later and still my favourite
Review: I first watched this video when I was six or seven and it instantly became my favourite. My family soon became sick of it as I got it out from the video shop every couple of weeks. The weeks I didn't have it out, my best friend would so I was always watching it! We used to make believe we were Pippi and would dance around the school singing 'Pippi Longstockings coming into your world...' Last year I was reunited with this best friend and when we saw each other the first thing we did was start singing that song! I'm now fifteen and last week when I was at the video shop I came across it again and decided to get it out. My family of course complained, but I've fallen in love with it once again! It's a magical story about believing you can do anything. And it's a video I'll love forever.

Review: I gave this video to my neice when she was 4 yrs old.From that monent on,her creativity has grown. She is now 6 yrs old and is getting A's in school, she says it was the best movies she has ever gotten from me.Please get this movie to spark you're childs imagination.

Summary: The Old Swedish Pippi Movies are Better!
Review: I grew up watching the old Swedish Pippi movies on TV, they seemed to show them a lot on TV in the 70's and I remember watching this 80s remake with my nephews, I think we first saw it in a movie theater and then I remember them taping it off Showtime and watching it several times. It's good but not as good as the old Pippi movies and I noticed that some of the changes they made in this remake were changes in the personalities of Tommy, Annika and their parents. In the Swedish movies Tommy was the more willing partner to Pippi's schemes while Annika was the fussy whiney one and the father seemed to like Pippi while the fussy mother thought Pippi was a bad influence on her children and in this remake Annika was the more willing partner to Pippi's schemes, Tommy was the fussy whiney one, the mother seemed to like Pippi and the father was the fussy, uptight one who thought Pippi was a bad influence on his children. This movie has it's moments but just isn't as good as the Swedish movies.

Summary: Amazing Find!!
Review: I have been looking for this movie for 6 years and have never found it until now. I saw this movie when I was younger and thought it was absolutely amazing. It has so much emagination and is apealing to the younger generation. This has always been my favorite movie and when I recieve it i am determined to never put it down! This movie lets me escape back into the days when everything didn't matter and lets me be a child again.

Summary: This is the BEST film ever.
Review: I LOVE THIS FILM. When I was little and I got to pick a video from the video store it usually was always this one. I must have made my Mum and Dad rent this about 30 times! The upsetting thing is that I could never buy it because it wasn't in the shops. If there is anyone that has a version of the video that would work on a British video player then please email me. I recommend this to anyone with young kids. Pippi Longstocking is so cool and she's better than all these modern kid's characters like the Teletubbies. The theme tune to this film is great too! Ooh please someone out there sell me a British version of the video! I could go on and on about her but I've already been sad enough so just buy it!

Review: i loved the pippy movie is is so great! this girl can fly, walk on walls, and the music is cute. everytime i watch this movie i love it when she flips and does back hand springs im like you better work do some flips and kicks she worked it out for the kids

Review: I remember seeing this version as a kid. This Pippi is "rawther annoying" as Eloise's Nanny might say. It was still interesting to watch, but still, it always annoyed me. There are two kinds of weird, one is cool and one is annoying like this portrayal of Pippi Longstocking. The bottom line? This movie is short on Stocking.

Review: I remember when I was in Kindergarden and my teacher would always bring this movie in when we were going on a field trip. This movie is so fun! I may be a 15 year old boy, but I will admit that I still love this movie and the music is great too. I will once in awhile get this song phrase in my head "Pippi Longstocking comin into your town" and I say in my head 'oh yeah I forgot about that movie.' I finally bought it on DVD. I've heard a lot of people older then me still love this movie, but if you've seen this movie when you were little you would like it, but you may not if your my age. Check it out though if your willing!

Review: I saw the movie when it came out in 88.I have rented it about 90 times. I still love Pippi Longstocking and always will.Every so often, I have to go to Blockbuster and rent it. PIPPI LONGSTOCKING IS AWESOME

Summary: Okay but Not as Good as The Swedish Pippi Longstocking!
Review: I saw this Pippi Longstocking movie in a movie theater and I agree that it's no where near as good as the Pippi Longstocking adaptaions from Sweden which I watched when I was a kid in the 1970's but this 80's remake was mostly a cute movie though the actress playing Pippi looks like she was about fifteen years old when the character in the books this movie is based on is much younger. Despite it's flaws this movie is okay though I would recommend renting instead of buying but all of this is just my personal opinion.
