Summary: Cute litle movie with adorable animals in it!
Review: Want to watch a cutesy little movie that never pretends to be pretentious or boring; then watch The Adventures of Milo & Otis VHS ~ Shigeru Tsuyuguchi. It is a tale about curious kitten and his friend, the pug-nosed puppy whose name is Otis and tells of a; their adventures that they have together. The dialogue between the animals is hilarious and I especially like all the weirdo British terms that are used throughout the movie. It is an absolute must have for anyone whom loves animal movies; I bought for my fiancé, as a silly little gift and she absolutely loved it. My final word is that it gets two paws up for =being a fun and entertaining movie.

Summary: A Great Story and Wonderful Animal Actors
Review: I just watched this movie today and had seen it before. I had always loved this movie and still love it. This movie has a great plot- a dog and cat who are best friends that get seperated and try to find each other. The animals act great too. Any kid between the ages of two and twelve would find this movie amusing and it is great to watch on a rainy day while cuddling up with your cat or dog.

Many people think that making this movie was abusing the animals in it but these animals were trained. I know that they wouldn't just make a cat fall of a cliff into the ocean! They probobaly just used a fake cat stuffed animal or somthing.

I always have enjoyed this movie and you will too, even if you are and adult.

Summary: Excellent Film, Amazing Animal Actors, Very Cute
Review: The Adventures of Milo and Otis is my favorite movie. A tale of friendship and adventure that is great for all ages, this is a must- see film. The witty narration adds comedy and humor throughout the movie, but does not detract from the adventures of the animals at all.
The plot is relaxed, and the movie begins with Milo the kitten and Otis the pug as best friends on an idyllic farm. One day, Milo sets into motion a series of year- long adventures when he steps into a wooden box in the river and is carried away downstream. Otis, in an attempt to rescue his friend, follows Milo, and embarks on an adventure of his own until the friends finally reunite.
The setting is beautiful, and adds to the movie experience.
Several reviewers contend that animals were hurt in the making of the film. THIS IS NOT TRUE. The director is an animal activist, and the animals involved were treated with the utmost care and concern. Also, the film followed the laws for animal treatment for the United States, and our laws are among the strictest in the world. Fears about one controversial scene involving Otis and a bear are easily proven false; Otis and the bear had been trained together since they were young, and were real- time best friends. Also, a delegation from a zoo and animal rights groups observed the making of the movie to make sure that all the animal were safe. Their verdict: the animals were not only being treated with great care, they also seemed to enjoy playing with one another, both on and off camera.
Overall, Milo and Otis is an excellent film for anyone. The storyline is great, the characters are adorable, and the values of friendship and love are timeless.

Summary: Animals Were Created For Our Enjoyment: Biblically Speaking
Review: The Adventures of Milo and Otis is truly a gem of a film! I have an orange cat, Kevin and a pug, Minnie, and they love this movie! Of course, as you will read in other reviews, there is unbelievable cruelty to animals in this children's film. Or is there? I had to post a review after reading the insane remarks posted by other reviewers of Milo and Otis. For one thing, animals are much, much more akin to being in "adventurous" situations such as going down raging rapids and leaping off cliffs than we humans imagine. No, mental torture is not possible on the animals performing in this great kids film. My Kevin is a prominent tree climber and also proficient at falling out of them. Should I simply film one of his "adventures" for my entertainment later, that would make me guilty of animal cruelty? Don't forget, you animal rights activists, those animal actors enjoy a much higher salary than you'll ever make and a life of plush living like that on MTV's CRIBS. Stop thinking you can save the world with your "holier than thou" attitude as though no one has the compassion for animals that you do. And especially don't insist on thinking all children are as dumb as you are as an adult to think they will abuse a living animal because they watched the "Adventures of Milo and Otis." The late Dudley Moore would never have lent his narrative voice to a movie he didn't believe in and you should be ashamed of yourselves for thinking you're above this highly entertaining, and animal friendly, film.
