Summary: Great
Review: This movie is a bit similar to rookie of the year, but just a bit.

It's about 8 kids needing a extra kid to play for them at a baseball field(sandlot) so one kid comes by who stinks but wants to play really bad because he's new and doesn't know anyone. All the guys make fun of him except one.(...)

I've seen the rest of the movie but there's no point in watching if I tell you.

Comedy is great similar to rookie of the years comedy.

Each person on the team has a totally unique personality which is what makes this movie so great.

Summary: The Truth
Review: This movie is by far one of the best sports movies of all time. I say "sports movies" because it captures the essence of the love of the game that only those of us that have experienced it will recognize. It is simple, fun, and doesn't really need to resort to outlandish gross-out moments to find it's heart. I watch this movie everytime I come accross it on television. A similar non-sports based movie would be "Stand By Me", also highly recommended.

Summary: Captures the Magic of a Childhood Summertime
Review: This movie is completely enjoyable and utterly captivating. The actors are outstanding and the whimsical directing captures to a T the way we all used to view the world, once upon a time when we were children and the world was full of magic, wonder, and possibility. If baseball was an integral part of your childhood, as it was for mine, then this movie is especially recommended. No other movie has captured the true childhood dilemma of wanting to cheer a friend who just managed to tear the cover off a baseball, yet knowing that the most integral piece of equipment has just been destroyed!
This is one of the best movies for and about kids to come along in quite awhile. A classic that will endure.

Summary: Fun Film
Review: This movie is great for the whole family. I think I first saw this film when I was 10. After watching it, I had a huge crush on Mike Vitar. This was his first movie--and his only major role.

The cast is fantastic. The veterans--Karen Allen, Denis Leary, and James Earl Jones--provide something special in this film. (The "Play Ball" scene between Leary and Guriy is hilarious!) Anyway, this film is just filled with action, humor, and excitement. If you want to know what the "biggest pickle" was in this film... you're just going to have to watch it.

Summary: Simply Wonderful
Review: This movie is pure briliance. The Sandlot captures childhood moments and friendship between young boys perfectly. The plot is as follows. Scotty Smalls is the new kid in town without any friends. He eventually meets and becomes best friends with Benjamin franklin rodriguez, who is the leader of a group of boys that play baseball everyday at The Sandlot. The group of boys are great characters ranging from an over-weight kid that makes some very funny jokes and a nerd that lusts after the most beautiful girl in town. During the summer they have many adventures together but the main adventure is getting back a baseball signed by the great bambino himself from a huge and mean yard dog known as " THE BEAST " I don't want to rammble anymore. The bottom line is that The Sandlot is a wonderful movie which you can watch over and over and never get bored. I can not recommend this movie enough. Please buy this movie now and experience how great it is for yourself.

Summary: The Worlds Best Movie Ever!!
Review: This movie was my favorite movie as a kid, and it still is today. Plus I thought (and still think) that "YaYa" and "Benny" were really hot :)! But anyways back to the movie. I'm always on the edge of my seat when Benny goes over the fence to get the ball back. My friends and I know all the words to this movie, and we watch it together all the time. The Sandlot is the greatest movie ever, and always will be!!

Summary: for once a good family film
Review: this was a movie which I found surprisingly funny and warm. It should be mandatory for every kid who loved baseball to see it. It has some great moments which I will never forget like the dog, james earl jones (he was really good), the pool w/ the lifegaurd (really funny), the smores and the ending chase. Just writing this makes me want to watch it again. Just one question, how could the kid not know that the great bambino was babe ruth?
