Review: 'Paulie' is heartwarming & sad and at the same time very hilarious. This is a movie that you will want to watch over and over again about a parrot and a little girl that are torn away from each other. Paulie never gives up trying to find little Marie and the search takes him on an adventurous journey that comes to life as he tells his tale to a friendly janitor that finds him in the basement of a science lab and decides to help him. This is a movie that everyone will love.

Summary: WONDERFUL! I could see special movie this over and over!
Review: Finally, I can actually reccommend a modern movie for the entire family! Yeah, there are some sad parts, but overall this is a first-class movie (far better than the crud Disney is churning out these days). I found the funny scenes and charming characters to far outweigh any depressing elements. I found the movie very uplifting.

Review: I hired this from a video store, lured in by the parrot. I expected it to be not much more than a bit of cinematic lint. I was wrong. This film is truly endearing. Paulie's story isn't too original, think 'Lassie'. However, the parrot's characterization & the key human characters make the film great. Because of Paulie's wisecracking style & vulnerability you get immediate empathy with him.Put aside any 'arty' pretensions you have & just hunker down on the sofa & be prepared to laugh & cry.

Review: I sat at my computer as my son watched Paulie, which I thought was going to be a silly.; stupid movie(ie amazon has it paired up with mouse hunt as a combo deal) . At first it did seem like a typical goofy talking animal thing...but at some oint I found myself glued to the piece...this is a movie that can be kind of dumb, but also dares to be smart, sensitive entertainment. There are great contributions throughout, funny lines, and a sentimental moment or two. The tone of the movie is much more reverant and lovely than I thought it would be.
Again, if it wasn't for my son, these movies would never exist is my psyche....this is a nice little movie...let's hear it for nice.

Summary: A wonderful surprise
Review: I saw this movie on a lark and loved it. It has great cameos: what other movie has Buddy Hacket, Gene Roweland and Cheech. I was totally surprised to find myself crying at the end. If you find yourself aching to fill that hole in your life, you could join the Peace Corps or you could watch Paulie and get on with your life. What? You don't think that will help you? Then purchase Paulie and watch it over and over again until it has changed you for the better and then go out into the world and act on that change. Consider it.

Review: It was the cutest movie of yhe century. I thought the little girl Marie was sweet. But it was sad when they got rid of Paulie. But at the end they got to each other and lived a cheerful life. It's a heroic and fun movie.
