Review: This movie is amazing it has everything, sadness, suspense, and humor. Iv watched this movie about 10 times and I cant tell you how much it touched me, the entire movie is just magnificent. And its great for the whole family to watch, so if you love to be happy and sad and laugh, this movie is diffenately for you !

Summary: For families that want to learn and grow together
Review: My husband brought it home with a wry "This is a sookie movie, I thought you would like it." Not far into the film were we both captivated by the spirit and tenacity of the characters. It made us both reflect on our past and see if we had ever made a difference on the world around us. Unfortunately, we haven't. But I know that this film has changed my way of thinking in a such a way that I hope never to be the same again. The only thing that I never understood was that Simon had had many redeeming qualities, yet, his parents were supposed to be practically non-parantal,- So, where did that outlook come from?? Perhaps his parents were more supportive that they were portrayed. I do feel that there is a relm in 'fantasy land' that should deal more with topics of this nature, meaning, the focus on positive VS negative, good in people, humor, friendship, families and love. You can never have too much good! I will keep a close watch for more of this work!

Review: I loved this movie. Yes, it's a tear-jerker, but what's wrong with that? I think it's terrible that it had such a short run in the movies. A lot of people missed out on a GREAT movie. Critics (and the American public) are always complaining about the excessive amount of sex and violence in movies today, yet they ignore a wonderful movie like this-I don't get it. This is a great movie that everyone should see-I know I will be watching it over and over.

Summary: A wonderful film about true friendship
Review: Simon Birch was a wonderful film that was funny and heartwarming. It portrays the friendship between two boys who are brought together by the circumstances of being misfits in their own way. Simon because he is small and Joe because he is illegitimate. It is inspirational in the way it never lets Simon's character lose faith in his belief that he was made small for a divine reason and that God has a plan for him. No matter what odds come at Simon he always believes. Joe never thinks differently of Simon for being small and encourages him as well as helps him. Theirs is a friendship based on honesty and respect and overcomes all differences big and small. It is a film I would want my children to watch to see the true meaning of friendship and faith. Both should be unending no matter the challenges it faces. This film may be a tear jerker at some points but when the credits roll you are left with a good feeling. It was a joy to watch.

Review: I am glad I saw the movie before I read the reviews. I would have never seen it, and would have missed a good movie. Critics are so busy comparing this movie to others that I think they fail to see the beauty in itself. In a world full of movies about nothing, shoot 'em ups, and sex. It is nice to find a "good old heartwarming movie of faith". Please don't let the critics steer you away from this one. If you like warm movies about people with a splash of comedy, this is the one.

Summary: Very heart warming and meaningful!
Review: Even though there was some swearing in this movie, I felt it safe for my 8 year old to watch. Realizing that everyone was put here on earth for a purupose and had something to do while here, made the whole movie excting and truly meaningful! Two friends from oppoisite side of the "tracks" can be the truest of best friends.

Review: This movie was Sad. I haven't seen a movie that made me cry in about 3 years and this one did it. The acting is excellent. I wish Hollywood would make more movies like Simon Birch!!
