Summary: One of the best movies ever made!!
Review: I loved the movie "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory." I loved the way Gene Wilder potrayed his character. I watch this movie over and over again. Even at the very end when Charlie's dream comes true. I always cry at the end because Charlie was a good boy always trying to do good and he finally got rewarded at the end. Which comes to mind the quote that states "good things come to those who wait!"

Summary: Read the book to your kids first.
Review: My 4 and 6 year olds loved the book as much as I did when my 4th grade latin teacher read it to us instead of quizzing us on declinations. The movie has a campy production quality, and interesting ambiguity about what country it's supposed to be in. I appreciated the non-intrusive music, which only served to emphasize the funny and very relevant oompaloompa bits. Only the "2001" phsychedelic boat scene scared my 4 year old. He was also a little upset at the end when Wonka yells at Charlie that he has lost the contest by violating the contract. HOWEVER, being upset is not always a bad thing, and both my boys "get it". It is best to first watch the video with small kids to help explain things a little. (My 4 year old was also a bit freightened by the evil sisters in "James and the Giant Peach".) This movie is also a bit strange to watch when the parents of confirmed brats are present - I had to catch a few furtive glances at some people during the oompaloompa explanation of why kids are not to blame! - JOE

Summary: The greatest kids' movie and adult can watch!!!
Review: Raoul Dahl's Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory based on his book Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is the best children's movie that an adult can watch. You have to listen carefully to hear to the wily wisdom of Willy Wonka and his Oompaloompas. Buy it for the kids if you aren't secure enough to get it for yourself, but by all means get it!

Summary: Simply the BEST!
Review: By far the best film ever made. It was the furthest thing from what is now a PC society. It tells the truth of life as a young person .Whether you were fat, rich, spoiled or poor, like Charlie. This movie was not afraid to give people a morality lesson. We need more films like this in the 90's. "So shines a good deed in a weary world"-Willy Wonka to Charlie.

Summary: This is really good.
Review: I have seen this movie soo many times and I still love it. I think that it is very close to the book and what they add makes it even more wonderful. The casting was well done and Wilder did a terrific job portraying Willy Wonka. I love this movie!!! This is a good movie to watch if you are a candy lover and just want to see a good movie. Or if you liked Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by Roald Dahl on which this movie is based on.

Summary: The most splendid imaginative movie I have seen! I loved it
Review: Beyond your wildest dreams you could not imagine the wonders that boil and broth over in the magical factory of Mr Willy Wonka played by the eccentric Gene Wilder. It is a fantasy, a visual delight of Chocolate waterfalls, and geese that lay golden eggs, but always there is a moral that must be taught. Roald Dahl the author makes the morals part of the fantastic story. The bad get what they deserve and the good are rewarded. A movie for children that will never date. A classic, I am 24, I own a copy and watch it still!

Summary: "Everlasting" fun for life!
Review: If your creative and enjoy movie that lets your senses run wild. The story is about a extra ordinary candy creator who untimate goal is to find someone who would love and charish his Umpa Lumpa's (Candy assistant's) and candy factory for life. The person is Charlie. Wonderful story! I have loved this movie since I was a boy, and it still is my all time favorite, forever!

Summary: I'm 25 years old, and it's still my favorite movie.
Review: Every year on my birthday, my Dad makes beanie-weanies (my favorite food as a kid) and we watch Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I just turned 25 this year and we celebrated the exact same way we have been since I was 14. I have a daughter of my own now, and I bought the tape so she can enjoy the movie and grow to love it like I do. I will always have a wish to go to the one place where you can do anything and be anybody..."come with me and you'll see a world of pure imagination..."
