Rating: Summary: I watch it over and over Review: The Philistines below say this movie isn't intelligent. Well, intelligence is overrated, and can be easily faked. The critics below would probably fault any movie that didn't have some blatantly obvious subtextual message about the never-ending struggle of the working classes, or some rehashed tripe about man's yearning for fulfillment. They should stop being such a load on themselves and laugh once and a while.
Rating: Summary: Mindless Stupidity At It's Best Review: I can't believe that this movie was marketed strictly as a children's film. There are at least 4 scenes I can think of which make me laugh out loud just remembering them. Mouse Hunt is a live-action Road Runner or Tom & Jerry cartoon. I guess if you have a thing about violence then you shouldn't watch this, but it's really more cartoon violence than anything else, and there's something inherently hysterical about watching two adults get the stuffing kicked out of them mainly because of their own moronic actions. This is the movie that you watch when you've had a really bad day and need to laugh.
Rating: Summary: Oh dear! Review: Its a shame that people cannot accept it for what it is, A MOVIE ! Its in the same style as Tom & Jerry. Though i suppose you'd complain that was discusting also, The animators done a great job on the mouse and other effects, the Roach was animated too, and i was really impressed with that ( i guess maybe being an animator myself, i care more about those sort of things :). Some people also were slating the film simply because the two brothers were nasty pieces of work, well, thats the characters, if they weren't trying to kill the mouse it wouldn't be much of a mouse hunt would it, Jesus ! Those people who are complainging about those sort of things are the people acting immature.
Rating: Summary: very underrated Review: This film took me by surprise. I gave it 5 stars because of the computer graphics and characters. Lee Evans is in it as one of the brothers. If you are unfamiliar with him, he is a very funny English stand-up comedian, and he's only recently hit the big-time in Hollywood. (first movie - 5th Element) Christopher Walken is briefly in it and of course he plays another strange role. His acting in this is my personal favourite. I don't like the other main actor, but in this film he's okay, unlike the Birdcage. SO WATCH IT! And ignore the review below mine because whoever wrote it has probably never cracked a laugh in their life.
Rating: Summary: NOT EVEN A HA! Review: I WANT TO KNOW WHERE WAS THE FUNNY PARTS IN THIS MOVIE? I SAT THERE WAITING TO LAUGH AND NOTHING. THE MOVIE STUNK. THE ONLY THING I LIKE ABOUT THE MOVIE WAS HOW CUTE THE MOUSE WAS BUT OVERALL THE MOVIE HAD NO HUMOR AT ALL. THE DIRECTORS SHOULD TRY AGAIN TO MAKE THE MOVIE BECAUSE THIS ONE DIDN'T CUT IT FOR ME.
Rating: Summary: It was so cooooooL Review: i thought the movie was funny it made me laff and for those people that gave it 1 star you people are just 2 mature!! IMaturity all the way!!!
Rating: Summary: first of all let me say that if there was a .oooooo1 star... Review: This movie is on the same level as 'Mars attacks', 'Dead Presidents', and rotten banana peels, wich will hopefully be the bottom of garbage can. I didn't expect this flick to be any good, I'm not stupid, but I am sure that seeing it one more time would be worse torture than the rack, or one of Uncle Bernie's hugs. who but a smiling idiot like that one director what's his face, could that chocking on half a coackroach, dead bodies falling into sewers, and the so forth etc. is funny? I ask you this as a living being, please respect your intellegece and the intellegence of those around you!
Rating: Summary: EXCELLTENT MOVIE!!! Great script, direction and acting! Review: You will never be bored even if you are a grown up. Mature script, subtle humor and feather weight presentation of its message. Mouse Hunt is the most under-rated movie ever.
Rating: Summary: To much black humor and slapstick comedy. Review: This movie was so stupid that I only watched four times. That's rigth I bougth the damn movie, I watched the movie four times, one was for when I bougth it, one for Christmas, one for my cousins and the other for my brother, guess what happen? the first time was funny, second time it was to cruel for a Christmas movie (better buy Muppet Christmas Carol), the third I was bored, the last time I saw I sweared I'll never watched again and it is thanks to the pitiful performances of Nathane lane and his sidekick Lee Evans. The mouse was the cutest thing of the whole movie, and the music was above average by Alan Silvestri (Back To The Future, Ferngully:The Last Rainforest)but the movie and actors need more interesting dialogue, my brother almost cry because the stupid ass brothers tried to kill a cute mouse, if I'm gonna watch black comedy, I prefer watching Death Becomes Her instead, as for the slapstick will be Flubber.
Rating: Summary: Very funny family movie-great for out-loud laughs Review: I don't find very many things clever but I thought this movie to be nearly hysterical--the clever effects with a well-trained mouse and the casting of Christopher Walken as the pest-control 'hit man' had me laughing out loud more than I have during a movie in a long time. I'd recommend this movie for older kids (10 yrs old and up) and the entire family.
