Summary: Excellent family movie!!! A+!!!
Review: It's a great, bewitching, romantic, touching, funny, educational, dramatic, and adorable family movie. Lindsay Lohan is so talented, gifted, and *cute.* Same thing goes to the rest of the cast. Everytime I see it, it touches me as an *adult* and the *child* inside/within me! :-) One of the best movies I've seen in my life. The plot/storyline is fabulous! I've seen it many times!

Furthermore, its soundtrack & score are superb! The upbeat, cheerful, and melow songs fit to the scenes appropriately. The movie is great, but the music and score make it even more better. The DVD version offers supperior sound & picture quality. Audience of all ages will *love* this movie.

Summary: Magnificently lovely!
Review: I rented The Parent Trap, thinking it's another one of the ordinary family comedies we see every day on TV... But it turned out to be exactly the opposite! I watched it once, and then I couldn't believe I wanted to see it again, and then again (I now plan to buy it for good!). I have not seen the 1961 original Parent Trap, but in any case, this one is admirably great! It grasps you from the first (or second maybe) moment, and it gets you eager and eager to see what happens next, while it entertains you with nice little jokes between the girls and... you'll see! Don't be afraid to let a tear off your eye, from time to time. The plotline and the scenes are so well-made, that you may even get goose bumps the same time the actors do! Just get it and watchit all together! You'll be thrilled and have great fun (if you're a child), or you'll be moved and have an equally great time (if you're not a child any more)...! I personally loved it... all 5 times I watched it!

Summary: Better than the original!
Review: I thought the original Parent Trap was excellent, but this new updated version is so much better. I cannot believe the twins are played by one person. It looks so believable. I thought I wouldn't enjoy this movie, but then I found myself watching it over and over. A great film overall.

Summary: Better than the original!
Review: This movie is incredibly cute! Lindsey Lohan does a fantastic job as twins Annie and Hallie. Actually every part is so perfectly cast, it's amazing. The extra special treat is at the end of the movie when it becomes a double love story!

Summary: Truly Excellent
Review: When this movie came out in theaters I might have seen an ad or a preview, but I quietly brushed it out of my mind or thought "how could it be any good? this is just another Disney ploy."

Then my visiting sister popped it into the vcr one afternoon while I was reading (we are grown ups) and I thought it was on TV! So, having seen the original on TV during the '70s, I watched it and couldn't believe how great it was, just as good or better than the original (I can't even remember the original).

The London setting is a dramatic change (from the Boston original) which adds a further polarization to the Annie/Hallie split embryo. The casting is perfect for every character; in fact, I don't think the movie would have worked with anyone except Lindsay Lohan playing the twins.

Yes, I had tears in my eyes at all the heartwarming moments. Conclusion: A great film for people of any age (and these are the words of a fairly jaded moviegoer...).

PS: Don't tell your children that the twins are played by one girl, so you can blow their minds later.

Review: When you watch a movie for like the 75th time, well you start wondering what grabs you so much about it! And all I can say is I haven't figured that one out, all I know is that I still have the same reactions I did the first time I watched it, it's amazing... I'm 25 years old, and a movie-lover, I have over 550 movies in my collection (still not so big, I know) and this one has a very special place in the shelf, actually, right in front of the place I work at. Lindsay Lohan must be THE FIND of the century, she's amazingly believable, and the rest of the cast, well, selecting them was pure art, pure genious, and this is something I rarely say about any kind of movie. This one can't even be catalogued in one genre! it's got a lot of fun, romance, tenderness, maturity, dream-lead imagination, I mean, hard to combine! and they did it all in just one Masterpiece. a MUST!!
