Summary: Full-0-Laughs
Review: This movie is guarenteed to make you laugh your socks off! I was in Fifth grade when I first saw this movie, and I (aswell as the rest of the class) loved this movie! It's funny, and it has good, clean, funny, incidents. And every time you find out that someone is dead, you'll think it's this person or that person, but later, you find out that it couldn't be that person. Yes, it is real funny material but don't think it doesn't have good mystery. It's full of mystery. It takes the mystery and the laughter and ROLLS it up into One and sends it to your screen. This is a Great movie, and I'm only 12 years old! You'll love it!!! I came home from school and told my parets... IT'S A MUST BUY!!!!!!

Summary: Even teens will laugh at this one!
Review: Tim Conway and Don Knots are quite a duo in this hilarious mystery. You never quite know "who done it" and you never can be sure about what the next rhyme won't be... However, everyone in the family can enjoy this movie. My husband and I first enjoyed this movie while dating back in the early 80's... we never forgot about it and this past year I purchased for a Christmas surprise!

We have all enjoyed this movie and continue to enjoy it, in fact it is a favorite with both of my teenage daughters and they love to bring it out whenever they have friends "hang out".

Order it today and ENJOY!

Summary: Never take yourself seriously
Review: Don Knotts and Tim Conway are the experts at not taking themselves seriously. The best way to give an understanding of how wild this movie is is to simply point out that comic genius Don Knotts plays the straightman to Tim Conway's magnificent imbecile. Of course none of it makes sense - it was never meant to! That's part of the joke. My family has worn out one copy of this video. Not even the classic 'Walk this way' from Young Frankenstein can match up to the take on that joke in this movie. My mother begins laughing at it several minutes before they actually perform it, it's so funny! I'm willing to bet Tim Conway made up the 'Wookalar' story on the spot, from the incredulous look Don Knotts gives him. Great double feature with Clue!

Summary: HYSTERICAL
Review: The movie was one of the funniest spoofs i have ever seen. But, they should have made it just a little more believable. For example; When Tim conway finds the Santa Clause in the secret passage way and the "Shadow" drops a bomb on them, they would have died. Other than this and a few more glitches, this movie was the most funny pointless movie I have ever seen.

Summary: Best Mystery Comedy Ever
Review: If you enjoy laughing and a good mystery then you will love this movie. Tim Conway and Don Knotts are at their best in this film. It blows Clue away. I laughed throughout the entire movie and still laugh every time I watch it. Watching this is a must for a comedy lover.

Summary: Conway & Knotts "at it again" -- Pleasant Nonsense
Review: Tim Conway & Don Knots are the definitive pair of fools. Here they are called upon to solve a double-murder. They receive their instructions from one of the victims, the "Lord" of a mysterious castle. The staff consists of various "freaks", all looking as though they are characters from a "fun house". -- The slap stick (which is happening every minute throughout the film) is often so silly that belly-laughs are assured. Although predictable (we know that nothing serious could happen to our stupid heroes), the entire show is rather amusing and keeps the viewer's interest.

Tim Conway is credited as one of the writers. The DVD version includes many added features. Especially noteworthy is a full length commentary track running alongside the faded out action. Much interesting trivia is revealed about the entire production. Fans of the star comedians will enjoy this film, and the added attractions on the DVD will be a welcome bonus!!

Summary: A Classic Family Favorite!
Review: I was thrilled when I came across this movie and snatched it up right away. This movie is an absolute favorite with my family and actually an inside joke because everyone we watch it with never gets it. They don't make movies like this anymore. It's the best of Tim Conway and Don Knotts. I think my family is the only one who knows what a Wookalar is! Great movie, even for the kids.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Three stars for average DVD transfer.
Review: The DVD transfer of the Private Eyes is fairly average.

1. The picture and sound quality is pretty good, although there are two scenes in the movie where the music score is noticely absent. It might have been lost when this movie was being restored to a cleaner film print and the sound designer made a mistake of not putting the music in where it had been in earlier film prints.

2. Not much in the way of bonus features here. Hen Tooth's Video must work on a moderate budget and were unable to find a lot of things to put on the DVD. There is a gallery of production photos which show the cast and film crew working on location and an auto commentery by Tim Conway and Lang Elliot. That's about it.

End result, Private Eyes is an under-rated funny film which was made on a pretty average DVD.
