Summary: ONE BIZARRE MOVIE!
Review: "Lilo and Stitch" is "ET" meets "Frankenstein" meets "Lassie". This is one WEIRD movie. I preferred "Spirit" to this strange animated film.

Summary: Disney's Best since The Lion King
Review: After many animated downers, Disney has finally hit a complete bullseye. Lilo and Stitch is Disney's best original animated feature since The Lion King. Plenty of animated "action" and humor, which will hold the attention of both adults and children alike. Although younger kids will undoubtedly miss out on most of the jokes (as they are geared told adults and older kids), Stitch's actions and behavior will be more than enough to hold their attention. The film manages to entertain and tug at the heart, teaching the moral that a family should stick together, no matter what happens (A point that is brought up 3 or 4 times throughout the film's comfortable running time).
Stitch is my favorite Disney character to date. His transition from Crude to Dude is well played out throughout the film and you can't help but love him at the end. This is the animated film of the year and no family should miss it for the galaxy!

Summary: A Great Disney Movie for EVERYONE
Review: I got to see a preview of Lilo and Stitch recently and I have to say the movie is FANTASTIC. The opening of the movie is very much inspired by "Star Wars" and has some great comedic action scenes. The movie really shines when it gets to Hawaii; the animators did a great job showcasing Hawaiian culture and showing the beauty of the islands and their people in animated form. Stitch is my favorite animated character of all time. He can be a downright naughty alien sometimes, and yet he also comes across as innocent and longing. (There are a couple of great scenes in the movie that will have you sniffling just a bit.) Lilo is a great character as well, as the creative little girl who can't seem to make friends because she sees the world in a slightly different way. Her relationship with her sister is both fun and realistic. Ving Rhames as Cobra Bubbles, the social worker, truly steals the show when he is onscreen. The surfing scenes and the Hawaiian music are so much fun you will really feel uplifted. The movie works on a lot of different levels and is a true classic. This is a GREAT movie, a real triumph for the Disney Animators who created it -- go out and see it right away! June 21!

Summary: Best Disney Film in a looooooooong time
Review: I was lucky enough to see the movie in a preview this week and I want to see it again!! Yep it's that good, perhaps even better. The look and feel of the movie is great, incredible hand-drawn backgrounds and brilliantly animated characters, just what one expects from disney.

The Disney humour though has deffinatly grown up somewhat and is not really for small children. It is sort of on the level of Shrek in maturity.

The previous comments already explained the plot and i must really say that there are many references to other movies (MIB, Matrix, Godzilla, Jaws to name some) that are just plain hilarous and well made.

Absolutely my top film of the summer!!!

Summary: I don't find the "interstitchal" commercials funny at all
Review: I'm not going to let them bother me,though. It's not like they're
meant to be taken seriously. Canonically, the commercials are
meaningless. The events shown in the commercials are not what
happened in the movies. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST is one of my
favorite movies. Belle and Beast danced without interruption. It HAPPENED. It is an indisputable fact of the fiction... Not that it matters, because the rest of that scene has already happened. I was really angry when I first knew about these commercials, but now I'm completely ambivalent.

Summary: great for kids AND adults
Review: Disney's 2002 summer release, Lilo and Stitch is about a lonesome Hawaiian girl named Lilo, who adopts a cute little dog named Stitch. Only Stitch isn't a dog-- he's a genetically modified fugitive from another planet, designed only for destruction!

Stitch has never had anyone to love-- Lilo teaches him the meaning of love.

The setting is Hawaii, and, except for the score, there are no original songs. All the songs are by Elvis Presley!

Plenty of jokes here for kids, and plenty of jokes for adults too, just like in The Emperor's New Groove. Kids will not likely get the adults jokes, such as references to other movies like Men In Black, and Jaws.

Some of the voice actors are Tia Carrere, Jason Scott Lee, Kevin McDonald, David Ogden Stiers, and Ving Rhames-- this makes the movie more fun for adults as well.

Although this is rated PG (for some action scenes) I think you will agree with me when I say that Disney had been getting away with putting PG action/violence in G movies for some time (think of The Lion King, or Hercules). Lilo and Stitch is likely good for all ages (all but the youngest kids, anyway).

The treat of the summer!

Summary: Could be the best Disney film ever....
Review: We'll just have to wait and see. Totally out of the ordinary, the first animated Disney film to my knowledge to gain a 'PG' (gasp! ^_^) rating, it could just be the next 'Lion King' for Disney. With proper promotion (I have yet to meet someone who doesn't laugh at the 'Inter-Stitch-als' with Alladin, Beauty & The Beast, etc.) and such easily lovable characters, this will no doubt be one of the summer's biggest hits.

Summary: Mahalo Disney!
Review: Finally Disney wen touch on da' Hawaiian culture. I am soo excited about this one. Hurd about dis one years ago from my late father who was excited to find out about the movie and the little hula girl, and that his friend was going to be a part of this cartoon. Nobody else to sing and represent the Hawaiian folks better than Mark Keali'i Ho'omalu, out of Oakland Ca, Na Mele Hula Ohana. You go Mark, congrats! I know my father is looking down on this movie and very proud, as we all know he loved his home and where he came from. Lilo is a very cute little girl and well represented, I am looking forward to the movie and the sound track. Aloha nui!
