Summary: I FELT LIKE A *HAPPY MILLIONIARE* IN SPIRIT
Review: I truly love this movie. The movies from Disney have become dissappointing for quite some time. It is hard to use Disney as a safe-guard to have our families safely watch as wholesome entertainment. But The Happiest Millionaire was of an era when families were together in laughter and a togetherness without having to hold the remote to stop the language,or change the channel due to sex. The actors were made for the part. Tommy Steele has always been a favorite of mine and he hasn't let me down in this romp of a film.Fred McMurray, though alittle short on singing skills, still gave it his heart. The songs are simple and strong and i find myself humming and singing each tune. Thank you ,i will enjoy this movie with my family for long times to come. This is a film we shall never tire of.

Summary: Wonderful!
Review: This is one of my most favorite films! All of Tommy Steele's songs are great! All the songs are great! This reminds you why you're a Disney fan in the first place! I love it! I have it on VHS but am looking forward to getting it on DVD, and the Widescreen Roadshow DVD also, I'm really curious about that one!

Review: i just screened the road show edition for the first time....Garson Sings....they cut her song out of the screen version we saw at the movie houses in 1967....along with other scenes they should have left in to make the movie come together better. i'm pleased these are restored as promised in the road show edition only...i finally know how the movie ends...i always felt as if i had turned my head for a second.. and lost 20 minutes of the story..thanks to this version you walk away with the knowledge of a disney happily ever after ending, as it should be...thank you for restoring what was lost to us so many years ago.....it is a very good film...enjoy.

Summary: Alicia's review
Review: This is a wonderful family movie. I watched it so many times when I was younger, and my sister and parents enjoyed it too. It's one of the old classics comprable to The absent minded professor and the barefoot exectutive. I've searched for the Happiest Millionaire for a long time, and it's the one movie that I can say was the favorite of my childhood.

Summary: If we could only go back...
Review: I was a kid when this movie was made. It was magical, musical, fun, sparkling clean and entertaining. We all walked home from the theater singing, dancing or both. How I envy my parents that they didn't have to worry about screening a movie before we saw it. Fred MacMurray was always a sure winner, Tommy Steele was AMAZING, and Leslie Ann Warren was so beautiful! I taped this movie years ago before it was available for purchase. My own kids who are now in their 20's can still sing the words to "By-Um-Pum-Pum!" I shall buy them a copy so that they can share fun musical times of an era that is truly missed. Everyone should have a copy!

Summary: Disney at its best!
Review: I have the belief that Disney is going down the tubes now days. With movies such as "Hocus Pocus", and "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and the deeply disappointing movies such as "Pocahontas" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" (one that should not have been made at all from my point of veiw, and not fit for children), Disney is very disappointing. THe Happiest Millionaire is just one of those great movies made when movies were kept clean. There is no need of foul language or sex in this movie, you don't even miss them. Tommy Steele was great in this movie, he was witty, funny and charming. Fred MacMurray played the part well, and the paring of Leslie Ann Warren with John Davidson was brilliant. They were just right for the parts, and did them well. Gladys Cooper as the matriarch Aunt Mary, and Geraldine Page as the pompous Mrs. Duke were hilarious in the their duet song "There are Those". The songs in the movie are easy to remember, and fun to listen to. This in one movie (of many, believe me) that my mom and I like to watch together. I believe that you'll recognize Hermione Baddeley as Mrs. Worth, who, when Mr. Drexel Biddle told her "I could be dying!", replied with out batting an eye, "Indeed you could." (Baddeley played the maid who was always fighting with the cook in Mary Poppins.) This movie is one of a kind, and entirely true, based on the book, My Philadelphia Father, by Cordelia Drexel Biddel.

Summary: I can't beleive this is on video!
Review: I have been waiting for Disney to rerelease this movie for years. This is a great family musical even if it is a little dorky.

Rating: 3 stars
Summary: Very entertaining
Review: This may not be a work of art, especially by today's standards, but it is funny and cheerful, and the tunes will keep you humming for weeks. That makes up for a lot. It's ENTERTAINING - not thought-provoking, not intellectual, it doesn't strive to be a wonder of modern theater (even for the days it was created). It's an amusing family film and does its job very well.

Summary: Terr-r-rific!!!
Review: I saw this movie on late night Disney a few nights ago, and was so impressed, I hunted it down by the stars name, because I couldn't remember the title. Who says there has to be a terrific plot?? So sorry to hear it was buried in a vault for years because of bad reviews. I collect musicals and definately plan to add this delightful movie to my collection...

Summary: Thank goodness I found a copy!!!!
Review: This has been my favorite movie for the past 10 years since I first viewed it on the Disney channel. I have hunted high and low even through Disney itself to find a copy to no avail. What a great family movie. It has become a must to view this at least yearly in our home. Who says it has to have a deep plot or story line to be enjoyable? What happened to just pure entertainment? Do your self a favor and see this movie, it will certainly give you a lift.
