Summary: Of the Highest Caliber
Review: My ten year old son loves to watch the entire selection of Veggie Tale movies when he has free time. The characters are so "appeeling" and their songs are easy to sing. These videos are not just for pre-schoolers! Larry's "Silly Songs" are one of our favorite features.

Summary: Great Values and Lot of Fun
Review: Excellent values. It may not be perfect in that (as commented on below) it suggests that God's Love "guarentees" our safety (in a sense His love does guarentee our safety though!) However, compared to other children's videos I give it 5 stars hands down!!!!! It promotes Godly values and I personally find it entertaining as well!!

Summary: Delightful presentation but dubious content
Review: Starting with our 3-year-old son, we have become enthusiastic fans of Veggie Tales - especially the nearly-perfect "Are You My Neighbor?" This one is its equal in wit and production quality, but the explicit lessons are problematic: God's love does not, alas, guarantee children's safety (check Northern Ireland for an extreme counter-example), except in so far as it is implemented by us as "God's hands;" and (a more abstract point) it is not God's size, relative to that of putative monsters, that shelters us. END

Summary: A must have video.
Review: Ditto everything Rica from Houston said....just wanted to add that little boys love this series, too. My six and a half year old son cannot get enough of Veggie Tales. A telling sign: he packed his own suitcase for the family reunion trip--and packed his Veggie Tales t-shirts first. And this is a "regular" kid who loves Super Friends (and Godzilla....) END

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Entertaining & Educational
Review: Both my daughter and I love this series. It is very entertaining so the kids don't even realize it is educational. It teaches good life lessons to children regardless of your religious background. We hum the songs all day! END

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: Great Video With Christian Lessons For Children
Review: High quality computer animation and Christian themes has made this one of our family's favorite videos in only 3 short days! Bob (a tomato) and Larry (a cucumber) are vegetables that our three pre-school age children laugh and sing along with as the characters explain there's no reason to be afraid of the dark because "God is bigger than the Boogie-man." Larry also stars in the title role of "Daniel and the Lion's Den," a great story told in a manner and fashion for young viewers to understand and relate to. The video closes out with a short scripture for young viewers which helps children learn biblical verse and how it can apply to their young experiences. As soon as other videos are released (currently only one other "Veggie Tale" video is available out of a series of nine) we will quickly be adding them to our collection. A definite must for parents who set high standards (quality and morally) for what their children watch if they must watch TV. We can't say enough good things about the video. END

Summary: Welcome to VeggieTales!
Review: I think a lot of people knew that this was the first VeggieTales episode, but some are like, "What's the difference?" A lot. I can just imagine the reaction to this first episode when it was aired how many years ago. You meet Bob the Tomato and Larry the Cucumber, the host of this wonderful show. They warmly welcome you and your little one, "Welcome to VeggieTales!" The also announce that they are there to answer YOUR questions. Who has questions? Kids! Well, this letter happens to be be about being scared. So begins the first episode of our favorite show for us and our little ones!

We finally meet for the first time, a veggie favorite, Junior Asparagus. He's watching "Frankencelery"!!! Mom says time for bed, and maybe he shouldn't watch scary stuff. Junior insists that he isn't scared. But what happens when it appears that monsters are in the closet? Enter Bob and Larry! To this day, I happen to love the song, "God is bigger than the Boogie-Man" just because I personally loved the catchy way it was all played out. Little did I know when I first heard it on Riley's (my daughter) first CD that it was from the very first episode.

But then you are introduced to... BRRR BRR BRRRR!!! (trumpet blast, people!) A SILLY SONG!!! And so we are introduced to "The Water Buffalo Song", the first of so many cherished silly songs that we've come to love and enjoy.

BUT WAIT!!! The show isn't over. Not yet. Another lesson in being scared, this time with the story of Daniel. This time we meet Archibald Asparagus as King Darius. But who else do we meet? Those 3 bee-boppin' leeks! And they tell about Daniel in the lions' den. It still isn't over yet!

We head back to the kitchen where we find out what we have learned today. Hey, am I right in assuming that the "What have we learned" song is just what the doctor ordered for Bob, or does that kind of get on his nerves? But we still even have one more thing, IMPERITIVE to this show. We meet QWERTY!! QWERTY always has a Bible verse for us concerning the show for today. I also think that this computer might have a craving for meatloaf. So, that's the first VeggieTales in a nutshell! One more thing...

God made you special, and He loves you very much! Goodbye!

Summary: This was my kids most fav. veggie tale video.
Review: 7 years after we started watching this one - our kids are still singing the songs and we plan on making it a vital part of life with any additional children God may grant us. It's that good.
