Rating: Summary: A Wild Trip Film! Review: Planetary Traveler takes the viewer on a wild journey through an imaginatery solar system. Animation that is truly cutting edge and music by Paul Haslinger (Tangerine Dream) makes this show stupendous to watch and amazing to listen to. I also hear that the Director, Jan Nickman, has a new feature animation program hitting the market soon. Called Infinity's Child, it's the follow up to this one.
Rating: Summary: A mesmerizing journey! Review: Sure, there are other 'eye candy' movies out there, and visually you can find things just as good. However, this movie's premise, as relayed in the beginning and ending voice-overs, combined with Paul Haslinger's excellent space music (which really shines in Dolby Digital 5.1), the pace and mood are combined for maximum effect to transport you to "Oh Wow!" land. It's just the ticket for arm-chair space cadets.
Rating: Summary: Pretentious Effort Review: The visuals of this DVD, somewhat deceptively titled and described, seem of little value other than as wallpaper for a video monitor or, perhaps, to one curious as to what can be done with a room full of Apple PCs assembled by clever people running software designed to express cartoon-like landscapes mathematically. The synthetic sound accompanying them may or may not be of more substance. I do not plan to watch the "wallpaper" enough times to become very familiar with the music.
Rating: Summary: Save your money Review: This DVD is a jouney through computer graphics. I expected to see alien realms, instead I got to see different planets all remarkably similar to our own. The graphics are well done. but I would never have bought this DVD if I had known it was simply different permutations of our own planet. The graphics are excellent. The music was pitiful. Save yourself some money, give this one a miss.

Rating: Summary: The best.....endless.....unbelievable Review: This dvd is the coolest! Together with a joint and good sound system this is really hype! Let yourself fade away with the story of discovering new planets and mental visuability. I have several biographic animations, but this is the best, the graphics are very detailed, the combination of sound is synchronised with the moventent of morion......... You really wanna have this one! Enjoy the pleasure of fantasy.... and beyond.... *Zion*
Rating: Summary: This movie rules great tripper flick. Review: This is a fun movie from start to finish. Only thing wrong was to short. Makes you think.
Rating: Summary: UNDERWHELMING!! Review: This title was a big dissapointment. With all due respect, the people giving this dvd 5 stars must not watch too much CGI. This is basically multi-colored terrain done completely on desktop computers. The music is even worse. The only way to salvage this disc is to put on some music of your own and hope for the best!
Rating: Summary: 3 1/2 - 4 stars, very nice for the time it was produced Review: This video is four years old now, ancient for that sort of thing, but it still does very well. I found that some of the scenes were a little flat but most looked very good, the view keeps moving so you don't have time to dwell on details that are probably lacking. At the story's end the aliens find the world they've been looking for, that is the most surrealistic part of the program and even some of that looked almost real. The Bryce rendering program has moved on a couple of generations since Planetary Traveler came out (5.0 is out now)I'd like to see what the artists can do with that!
Rating: Summary: zzzzz . . . Someone wake me up when it's over with. Review: What a bore. If you like watching an hours worth of unrealistic looking mountain flyby's then this one's for you. Otherwise stick to the awesome Oddessey Productions like the Mind's Eye series.
