Summary: quite the classic
Review: The old, separate, VHS versions of these two holiday movies were what I watched when I was in the single digits, and now they're better than ever on a timeless DVD. Santa Claus Is Comin' to Town is a humorous new twist on the entire life of one Santa Claus, and is worth the viewing for kids and adults alike. Me, though, I bought the DVD for the Little Drummer Boy, which is what I think is one of the best Christmas movies, EVER. Hands down. So, come on down, and spend a little money on a couple mini-movies that have already survived for decades and are sure to last for many more to come.

Review: This is a magical, clever re-telling of the Santa Claus story that explains how St. Nick became who he is, doing what he does. It's more substantial than the usual Christmas fare, but still fun and sometimes silly for kids. Enjoy!

Summary: Great story of how Santa got his job!!
Review: Wow, I haven't seen this in years, and it's even better than I remembered it. First of all, seeing Santa Claus is Coming to Town on DVD is an entirely different experience from what you remember as a kid. For one thing, there are no commercials hawking different toys and things. This might be bad if you're a kid, but if you're a parent, this makes the DVD extremely appealing. The next thing you notice about the DVD is the amazing color depth. You just don't get this kind of vivid color when they show it each year on the networks (at least, at my house it was never this clear). The story itself is precious: The history of Santa Claus, from being a baby to the current big bearded guy, is all explained in a manner that kids will understand. Each of the elements that make Santa who he is is explored and covered as "Kris Kringle" grows from boy to man. The Little Drummer Boy is also included, and while not as strong an offering as Santa Claus is Coming to Town, it is much better than I remembered. It also has much more of a message than most Christmas specials, and ties in with the birth of Jesus as well. If you're tired of your son/daughter always receiving the message "buy, buy, buy!" from TV, than The Little Drummer Boy is just what you need! Overall, I think this DVD makes a great purchase. It's something you'll watch every year, it can become a Christmas family tradition, and once again, there are NO commercials!
