Summary: Fabulous Family Fun
Review: I first watched this video with only my infant son. Then when my husband and 13-year-old step-daughter came home, we all watched it together. What a wonderful time we had laughing and singing those silly songs. We had trouble deciding which we liked best, because we enjoyed so many. Truly a family favorite. Eventually at the name of VeggieTales, my baby would bounce his head up and down. Now my son is 18-months old, and he walks around the house asking to see "BOB", "BOB". I don't mind we have been watching it over and over for close to one year. We even have a spare copy bought by a concerned Grandmother in case it ever breaks.

Summary: Enjoyable
Review: I imagine this new, rather rehashed material is due to preparations for the Veggiemovie coming out, and they do a darn good job framing the favorite silly songs...

The Pirates Who Don't Do Anything (aka Pa Grape, Mr. Lunt, and Larry the Cucumber) are displaying their lack of willingness to do anything constructive: holding the contest for best Silly Song. Now the polls are closed, the Astonishing Contraption of Silliness is reading the ballots, and we're prepared for a long festival of Silliness!

Since amazon.com gives away a few of the titles, I'll tell you: We're treated to such gems as "Dance of the Cucumber" ("Look at the tomato/isn't it sad/he can't sing...")and "Love My Lips" ("I had to kiss my Great Aunt Ruth/She had a beard/And it felt weird."). In the middle of the show, however, the Astonishing Contraption of Silliness malfunctions, and as Pa Grape tries to repair it, we are treated to a unique song by Larry and Mr. Lunt: They sing the Chinese food menu. ("MU-shu, MU-shu, MU-MU-MU-MU-MU-SHU!")

But what is the Silliest Song of all? I sure as heck can't say (...)

The antics of our beloved pirates partly make up for the fact that we've seen all this before, except the aforementioned Chinese Menu Song. The animation is a little more "cartoony" than prior outing "Lyle," as there are blasts of light as Pa Grape whacks the Astonishing Contraption of Silliness with a mallet. In addition, I think the No. 1 Silliest Song and the No. 2 Silliest Song should have been reversed. Oh, and Pa's mustache is more sleek in this particular video.

Anyway, this is a nice outing as we wait for the movie, and if it's been a while since you saw [Name of Song] then you can settle down and watch...

Summary: The Cheeseburger Song Rocks!!!
Review: I just had to disagree with the reviewer who didn't like this song. In my opinion, this is the best song on the whole dvd. Pay attention, Weird Al! These guys are imitating you pretty good. Any Weird Al fans, or anybody who likes funny songs (as long as they're not a vegetarian) will LOVE this song. Ok, so I'm obsessed with this one song. There are others that tickle my funny bone too. Second favorite: "Song of the Cebu"Dissapointed only that I didn't get to find out what happened to the boy and his 3 cebus. Darn that slide projector! What's a cebu? What the heck am I rambling about? See for yourself! I just have to quote my favorite lines from "You're his CB" (cheeseburger) "Cause he loves you Cheeseburger with all his heart. And there ain't nothing gonna tear you two apart. And if the world suddenly ran out of cheese, he would get down on his hands and knees, to see if someone accidently dropped some cheese in the dirt, and he would wash it off for you, wipe it off for you, clean that diry cheese off just for you! " This is near the end of the song, and is sung so passionatly, if you like cheeseburgers at all, you'll want to run out and get one!(As long as the cheese is clean.) Dieters maybe should not watch this too often(j/k) This whole DVD is great, and will cheer you up if you're stressed and give you that much needed laugh attack. I got it for my daughter, but now I'm hooked! Long live Veggie Tales! This is wholesome family entertainment at it's finest and funniest.

Summary: Funny!
Review: I love this video, and so does my little 2 year old nephew! The songs are fast paced and funny. Some of the songs are silly, some of them don't make sense, and some of them are outright laugh out loud funny! The animation is great, and the characters are lovable! A great video for little kids AND adults! This is the one sing along song tape that does not annoy me! It is awesome! I recommend it to everyone out there, especially if you have kids! It is basically about the gang of Pirates Who Don't Do Anything putting votes into the ultimate silly machine for them to be counted and for the silliest silly songs to play! It is really cute and funny.

Summary: The Best of Silliness!
Review: I loved this, and so do my kids. I wish there were more veggie tale avalible on DVD

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Silly indeed.
Review: I was hoping for a little more consistent quality - turns out we happened to already own one of the funniest songs on tape. But, the DVD is great quality and the kids love it.

Summary: Great for the kid, without driving the parents batty!
Review: I was originally looking for a Baby Einstien DVD for my nephew, and stumbled across someones Amazon list; this person loved the Veggie Tales. I ended getting this one; it was a hit with my nephew AND his parents. Everytime we get in the van, we all yell out what song we want to hear. The funny thing is, my sister knows ALL of the songs yet hasn't SEEN the DVD (she's usually driving). It's a fun DVD from start to finish and the songs are verrrrrry catchy!

Summary: "Oh Where" are more DVDs like this?
Review: I'm fairly new to Veggietales so several of these Silly Songs were new to me, but after seeing them MANY, MANY times now, I can tell you that I still enjoy this DVD version. My 16-month-old son is just captivated by the animation and squeals with delight during the Mushoo song (the only new "song" on the show).

But, my favorite part about having the DVD version is all the extras, especially the behind the scenes interviews of how they came up with all of this silliness! And if you know where to look, there are a few Easter eggs like a Christmas Silly Song called "Oh, Santa" and a Japanese version of the "Hairbrush Song."

I can't wait for more Veggietales to come out on DVD!

Summary: I'm 25 with no kids and I own this video!
Review: I'm not into the religious thing that this show normally promotes. While religious morals are not the worst thing to teach these days, often this series is annoyingly preachy, and that's what turned me off about the other VeggieTales videos I've seen. What makes THIS video cool, is that it is purely the silly songs with no religious overtones. That's why I would recommend this video to anyone, with or without kids. Anyone with a sense of humor will find something to laugh at in this video. How can you keep a straight face while watching a cucumber look under the bathtub, while wrapped in a towel, for his hairbrush? The "dance of the cucumber" is also hilarious, as is "the pirates who dont do anything." (I never licked a spark-plug?) The only song I dont care for is the "cheeseburger song," so my overall rating would be a 4.5. Again, this video has enough wacky humor for anyone to enjoy, and really is a must-own for any fan of wacky animation. Long time fans of the show will probably find nothing new here, except the weird chinese menu song, and should probably save their money. For everyone else who likes the wacky characters and silly songs without the gospel preachiness, this is the only VeggieTales video you'll need to own. Well, except for their X-mas one!
