Summary: Funny, Great, Entertaining...!
Review: "Emporer's New Groove" is just terrific! I love this movie! This the type of movie I can show to kids I'm babysitting and enjoy watching myself! The kids I'm babysitting always asks me if they can watch "Emporer's New Groove". Yzma and Kronk are my favorite characters in the story. And the end where everyone is trying to get the potion is what I think is the best part of the whole movie. The DVD special features are neat, too. There are games you can play, two music videos, and more. Don't miss this one!

Summary: I wish I could give this 10 STARS!!!
Review: I can't say enough about this movie! I'd say that it's by far the best Disney animated movie ever! The characters are completely awesome, the plot is wonderful, the voices are perfect, the songs are good, and the story line in general is the best thing you'll see in an animated movie! This is exactly my kind of movie.

It's perfect for the kids. This is a clean movie, there's nothing in here that you'd have to skip when you've got the kids over. It is also very funny.

You'll also love all the extras in this Ultimate 2 Disc Edition. You get to see footage of the voices, interviews with the director and producers (very cool) and all kinds of extra goodies. Even some deleted scenes. Overall, this movie ROCKS!!

Summary: Great fun!
Review: I'm not ashamed to admit that I love this movie! While I always enjoy Disney movies, this one added some adult-focused tidbits that gave it some extra punch. Do you remember Rocky & Bullwinkle? Fractured Fairy Tales? There's a feel of these in Groove that takes it beyond just a kid's movie. The extras on the DVD are also great. The best part? The evil Isme in adorable kitten form. Get this movie whether you have kids or not - why should children have all the fun?

Review: ok. when i went into the cinema, i thought that this movie would be a good one. 1) everyone said it was amazing 2) disney movies like toy story always are not that bad but this one really disappointed me.

it irratated me. and even my younger brother almost fell asleep. it was not touching, but tried to make ppl feel sorry. and finally, i didn't find it funny but instead, annoying.

anyways, i would say that it was not a good movie at all. nothing to expect from.

Summary: SARCASTICALLY DELIGHTFUL, NOT YOUR TYPICAL DISNEY FLICK
Review: I hesitated when I first heard of this movie. The commercials and trailers didn't look interesting to me at all and the fact that David Spade does the "lead" voice wasn't exactly enticing. After much debate, I ended up renting it. To my surprise, what I thought was going to be a disaster ended up being one of my favorite Disney films! David Spade is perfect because he just OOZES sarcasm and this movie has plenty of it. Definitely made me laugh more than any other Disney film, ever. I urge you to buy it on DVD and check out the special features. Disney has done it again, in a WHOLE NEW WAY. Just give it a chance, you won't regret it. :)

Summary: Surprise Gift From Disney: Funny without Songs!
Review: I watched this film in a very small theater in Kyoto, Japan, and only 20 people were there. (Maybe that was because its rather insipid Japanese title -- "Rama ni Natta Ohsama" meaning "King Who Became a Llama"; a pity) Anyway, after the first 10 minutes, we felt we all were drawn into the funniest world Disney created since "Aladdin," and its fun never stopped. And the final reel, the last 15 minutes, was a real audience-rouser. To be honest, before I saw the film, I was thinking, like, "Hey, it's another annual Disney production, full of usual format with songs and somthing like that." Well, and it was a surprise. "Emperor's New Groove" shows that finally Disney understood that without song-dance sequences you can catch the viewers' heart, even kids', as materpieces like "Iron Giant" proves. It is the characters that should move the whole story on, and the four main characters just testifies to that simple rule. Like in a good old tale, you can find your favorite character(s) among them (by the way, mine is Yzma the invincible). And the picture itself is impressive with its rather old-fashioned, but colorful and various artifices -- ultra-fast close-up, sudden stop-and-start of characters, flashbacks, unexpected parody, and even character's going out of film's frame and talking directly to us! -- all of which remind me of the crazy movement of lovable characters in classic animations of old days, like "Tom & Jerry."

So it is fun, and what else do you want? Just enjoy it, just as we lucky people did this hot summer in Kyoto. Oh, by the way, I want to ask the people of Disney: Is it because Eartha Kitt played a certain villain in TV's Batman series that Yzma is turned into a --- in the end?

Summary: A Pleasant Surprise From The House Of Mouse on DVD!
Review: What a difference a DVD makes! As much as I enjoyed watching The Emperor's New Groove on VHS, it is much more fun on DVD. I really got a kick out of some of the extras the disc provided, notably the game that involved changing Emperor Kuzco back into human form. Another interesting element was the deleted scene from the film. Fortunately Disney opted to do this, since the destruction of Pacha's village had a rather dark edge to it. As for the critical reviews, I would like to clarify that my local newspaper's critic David Elliott did like the film, giving it three out of four stars vice the two I mentioned in my pervious review. Although Groove is not in the same realm as Beauty and the Beast or The Little Mermaid, it can still be enjoyed.

Summary: I LOVE this dvd!!!!!
Review: This dvd is wonderful! Some people might argue that it's animated, so how good can it be? Very good! The voice talents include David Spade, John Goodman, and Eartha Kit. I think my favorite caracter is Kronk. Look for him, if you watch this. And I hope you will!!! P.S. I recommend buying this on dvd for 2 reasons: 1. It's cheaper 2. You can watch behind the scences things AND watch interviews with the actors and actresses. Enjoy!
