Summary: No wonder my Disney stock is in the tank
Review: This is some of the poorest animation I've ever seen from Disney. Bad story, bad voices....bad movie.

What's with the shadows? They're on everythnig.

Summary: AMAZING!
Review: This movie is filled with action. Cool action. Action scenes that are so cool, you won't believe your eyes. The best action scene is when Tarzan and Jane through an exploding volcano! That scene is SO COOL!

The film has 3 COOL STORIES! The first one has Jane's friends coming to rescue her from Tarzan (COOL). The second story has two foes trying to get diamonds, and kill anyone who stands in their way (Will Tarzan survive? I'm not telling). The third story is the best of the three! A man who was once Jane's best friend comes to the jungle. I won't say anymore, but this story is beyond cool! It's perfect!

For jungle fun, buy "Tarzan & Jane". You'll be glad you did!

Summary: Even my 2 year old was bored with it!
Review: This movie is truly bad. I don't think I've ever thought that about a Disney movie before. Even my 2 year old son, after watching it for about 15 minutes said "Let's watch old Tarzan, Mommy." The animation is terrible, the story lines insult the intelligence of even a toddler, and the voices are not even close to the originals. I think Terk may even be a boy in this one! I don't think the animators of this flick even WATCHED the first Tarzan!

I'm very sorry we bought this in DVD format. It was a complete waste of money, and I bought it on the strength of the first film alone, which is what I'm sure Disney was hoping everyone would do!

Summary: Cute. Really.
Review: This movie was cute. Really. More so for kids than for adults, admitedly, but still sweet.

I realize the format and other stuff (that's mentioned in other reviews) cannot be compared to the original Tarzan -- and I think you have to begin watching the movie realizing that (if you want to enjoy it). If you are expecting the movie to be on the same level (artistically and intellectually) as the first you *will* be dissapointed. But if you watch the movie understanding that it lacks the professionalism (I'm hoping that's a real word?) of the first and that you can't really compare the two -- you'll probably enjoy it. Because it *is* cute.

So, basically I liked it. (I'm giving it 5 stars instead of 4 because I feel so bad for it, I mean it deserves more than an average of 2 starts! :o( ) And, as I think was mentioned, the extra features (especially the 'Choose Your Own Adventure' game/ story/ part) were REALLY REALLY REALLY cool.

But, keep in mind that this opinion is coming from a teenager who still loves Disney movies and Saturday Morning Cartoons... 0_o

Summary: Sigh...........
Review: Unfortunatley, our local video store did not have this video to rent and Blockbuster did have it, but for an arm and a leg. We ended up purchasing it on eBay, which is where *I will be selling it back*. My 5 & 6 year did enjoy the movie, but considering we do not have cable nor an antennae, anything animated on the "TV" is all good in their eyes. My mouth dropped open when I saw the animation on this movie, it reminded me of a TV cartoon, Jane was no longer charming and beautiful, she just seemed different. The voices seemed a little off as well as the rest of the animation. The format was much the same as Cinderella II as she reflects back on the past year, so there was not even a great deal of originality here. I remember Disney movies as a child were classics, but it seems that after Disney died, all they care about is how many movies they can churn out each year without any care for content or quality. I would suggest renting it (cheaply) before buying it, as it is not, in my opinion, collection worthy.

Summary: Disappointed
Review: We were so disappointed with this movie.I thought with the 1st being so good that this would be also. The only music in Tarzan and Jane was at the beginning and the end.We expected it to have alot of good music and for the characters to be just as funny as they were in the 1st. My daughter has just about all the disney films ever made and she was also bored by the 1st 1/2 hr. The movie had no great story line that kept you wanting to keep watching.I feel it was a total waste of money. This is the movie to watch if you want to fall asleep.

Summary: Tarzan & Jane
Review: Well I just wanted to clear up that Tarzan & Jane, contrary to popular belief IS NOT 3 of the TV show "The Legend of Tarzan" episodes. Believe me on that (I watch that show nearly every morning, most of the extra characters are on the show, though). Well, on to the movie itself! The animation isn't stupendous, but it's alright. I didn't really like the idea that there was 3 stories instead of 1 whole movie but , this is MUCH better than that awful Cinderella II ... The stories themselves weren't bad. My pesonal favorite was the lava one. The music was fine, and catchy. I normally hate Mandy Moore (because I'm an Anti-Pop-ist!) but I liked her song "Singing to the Song of Life". There are funny parts too, most of which are Terk's doing. Well all-in-all Tarzan & Jane is pretty good movie (the DVD games are cool, too). Anybody who liked the movie Tarzan should at least watch Tarzan & Jane to see how they like it. And anyone who likes "The Legend of Tarzan" show won't be disappointed.

Summary: Dissapointing
Review: Well this movie is a total cheat!! Disney took 20 minute stories that they play on television and linked them together for a quick and easy movie. My kids had already seen most of the stories on the Tazan cartoon.

If you don't get the daily cartoon then you may not mind paying for it but since we had already seen them all I thought it wasn't worth the money.

Summary: Well, it was O.K., But not the same old Tarzan...
Review: Well, I saw the first movie and I loved it! One of my favorite movies ever! So when this movie came out, Tarzan & Jane, I thought of renting it, so I did. I was so disapointed! I turned the movie off about 5 minutes into the movie. Very poor animation, like cartoon animation. Their voices are way off coarse (exept Tantor's) and Jane is not as charming as she was in the first movie. This movie was okay...It's just...not the good 'ol Disney I expected. How could you, Disney?! >:(
(P.S. The shadows of the leaves on evey character was really annoying) ;)

Summary: Poor Writing and Quality reduces Tarzan to a Sitcom
Review: While the original film boasted state-of-the-art graphics, wonderfully lush imagery, a beautifully tragic story, and classic music, this direct-to-video sequel will rank among the worst Disney has produced in the last few years. Told like Cinderella II as a trio of shorts, the story revolves around Jane reflecting on her one-year anniversary with Tarzan.
