Summary: Even better than the original
Review: This movie engaged my attention with every scene. More complex than the original, Toy Story 2 combines several subplots that add to the suspense but are still simple enough for kids to follow. Watching the original will help you understand all the jokes and relationships, but it isn't vital. This movie takes the personification of toys to a new, surprisingly deep level. Most of us have had that special toy that we left behind as we grew up, and we can sympathize with the toys as they are left behind. We see here the inevitability of growing up, but also the need to care for others and enjoy childhood while it lasts. I was suprised there weren't more female characters in this movie, although a spunky cowgirl does figure prominently into the action. The voice work is superb, and the dialogue sharp and entertaining - for adults, too. (Star Wars fans will find the mini-saga of Buzz Lightyear and his enemy hilarious.) The computer work is also new and improved, with more convincing depictions of humans (though the faces still look a little cartoonish) and one very believable hyperactive puppy. Good clean fun, and a lot of it.

Summary: Toy Story 2.....The Masterpiece
Review: I saw this movie four times while it was in theatres. I saw the prequel, and loved that also. This movie was hilarious, dramatic at times, and just a good 'ol time. I loved hearing the familiar Tim Allen and Tom Hanks. They are certainly a good team. I am sure this movie will go to infinity and beyond!

Summary: Toy Story 2
Review: Hysterical! A total laugh. A fantastic movie for people of all ages. I saw it with an 11 year old, 6 year old and 30 year old. Introducing new characters. Heartwarming story of how Woody is trying to decide between a toy museum in Tokyo and Andy's room. Wonderful.

Summary: WE ARE ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!
Review: Could it be that there is an animated movie better than Toy Story?...Yes! Toy Story 2. It is brilliant, the animation is excellent and the script even funnier than the first movie. All the old crew are aboard as well as some excellent new additions. Plus those cute little aliens get a slightly bigger part and probably provide the funniest moment of the movie. If you think you are too old for this type of movie you are wrong, the humour is there for everybody and believe me you will laugh. As soon as this movie is available BUY IT!

Summary: Brilliant!
Review: I always thought that cartoonish movies were nothing but a few neat artistic strokes and compelling soundtracks....but this one really changed my mind. I'm an 18 year old at a predominantly male university, and I can talk to nearly ANYONE about this movie. You know you have a real winner when you can get such an audience to go to a "kid's" movie. VERY VERY FUNNY!

Summary: Toy Story 2
Review: I took my Niece to see it and expected it to begood but I was not prepared for what followed. What a terrific movie.Woody and Buz have worked through the problems that existed between them in the first Toy Story and have become the best of friends. I laughed throughout the movie. What humor, I loved the scene where Mrs. Potato Head is packing Mr. Potato Head for his trip to save Woody and she packs his angry eyes "just in case". The depth of the personalities, the humor and thoughtfulness of each of the characters makes me feel as though these are real people. I have put this movie on my list of "All Time Favorites" My Niece is 5 and I am 47 and we both loved it. I am eagerly waiting for it to be available for home viewing so I can own my own copy. Hats off to Disney and Pixar for a job well done.

Summary: The best movie of the Decade
Review: After watching this movie, I thought to myself, "This is the modern day Casablanca!" I thought this because the story was very tight with no space. Every element in the movie advances the story the whole way through, I was so amazed. I have not seen a movie so well done in such a long time, and this movie is animated! It's also very comic, full of parodies and classic cinematic shots and even a bit of drama. During one part of the movie, this song comes on. I leaned over to my friend in disagreement and said, "Did Disney put this in?" By the last shot, my friend and I were holding back tears, "Holy cow, dude! Man, that's horrible." But besides great cinema and effective storytelling, the animation was just as good as the first "Toy Story" which, to say the least, is exceptional! I really loved this movie for it's almost classic hollywood style mixed with modern ideas and techniques. This is definitely a movie worth watching.
