Summary: The worst
Review: I was totally disappointed by this film. The music was terrible, not 1 "Disney" character to love in it. Yuck! That sums it up

Summary: "What makes a monster, and what makes a man?"
Review: This is probably Disney's most unique choice for one of their musical animated motion pictures. And the result was something beautiful, meaningful, and surprisingly touching. I wish people wouldn't give a horrible review of this film just because it didn't stick with the book plot or because it's "not kid-friendly". My brother first saw this movie when he was five or six, and he had no problem with it. And while Disney's ending is much different than Victor Hugo's (I'm reading the book, and I must say I _prefer_ Disney's ending), the truths in the book remain in the film. What makes a monster and what makes a man? This is something everyone, child, teen, or adult, should learn. I also like when Quasimodo says to Frollo, "All my life you've told me the world is a dark, cruel place. But now I see that the only thing dark and cruel about it is people like _you_!" The world has evil in it, but it also has so much good, and that's what this story is about. I love that. The music is beautiful, the characters wonderful. My brother likes the gargoyles, but my favorite was Clopin, the self-proclaimed gypsy king. If you see this movie for no other reason, see it to hear this guy sing. What a voice! Clopin is a great character because he knows more than he says, he has all these secrets but won't tell. He's the one that poses the "riddle" in the beginning of the film: Who is the monster and who is the man? It's a great introduction. He steals the show in every scene he's in. I imagine Disney must get tired of cutesy-mouse/bear/princess flims and decided to take a chance with something just a little bit darker, a little bit lighter (in more ways than one), and a little bit deeper. Give "The Hunchback Of Notre Dame" a chance. You may be surprised. To the bells of Notre Dame!

Summary: an underrated Disney animated classic...!
Review: Yes, Disney's Hunchback of Notre Dame is a lot darker thanprevious Disney efforts in recent years, but the film IMO is veryunderrated! Hunchback contains some of the finest animation you will ever see, and the villan of the film, Quasimodo's master Frollo, is perhaps one of the best designed 'bad guys' Disney's ever presented. A must see for Disney fans & especially fans of great animation. Way to go Disney (again)! END

Summary: Disney's Best Movie
Review: I think this was a really great movie, and even though it is a "kid's" movie you can still study it a bit! I think though this movie should have been rated PG because some things might not be understood by children. This movie I believe would be more enjoyed by adults rather than children. The message of the story though is very strong- you should never discriminate against people just because they look different on the outside. sometimes, on the inside they are more beautiful than the rest of us. I know that some people may say that this movie does not stay true to the book, but the basic idea is still there with a happier ending. People should not be so picky about whether it is exactly the same as the book or not, instead we should see if it good entertainment with a good message, and in that it shines. I myself used to treat people that were retarded or midget as if they were something disgusting, and I never wanted to even look at them, but watching this movie made me realize that these people are human beings too and have feelings. I believe that this movie is one of Disney's best if not the best movie they've ever made. Sadly though, even though this was Disney's best, it did not do well because it made children cry.

Summary: Did they even read the book?
Review: After seeing this movie, I wonder if the people at Disney bothered to read the book. The book is a great peice of work, but this movie does not do it justice in any way. The entire book was sugur-coated, especially at the end. I'm thinking, if they're going to do a cartoon based on "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" what's next? Are they going to do a cartoon based on "All Quiet on the Western Front" or "Les Miserables"?

Summary: The Best Disney's Ever Done!
Review: The Hunceback of Notre Dame is of the most brilliant and wonderfully done films of all time. It takes animation to new hights and is Disney's best film. It is a daring , Well written, story that will appeal to all audiences. You have to applaud Disney for growing up. Everything about this film is great from the animation to the music to the characters. The is truly Disneys best work. Although Mulan was good ,it doesn't touch this. This is Disney last truly great film. Hopefully there up coming movie Dinosaur will bring this kinda of style back. Disney lost it when them Made Hercules and Tarnan. 5 stars all the way.

Summary: Not for kids
Review: This movie made me angry when I saw it. This was given to my 3-year-old son for Christmas. It's definitely over his head, and ditto for any kid under 12, I would think. There is WAY too much adult material here. Disney needs to stick to films the whole family can enjoy. That's supposed to be what they're there for.

Summary: R rated cartoon... very violent....
Review: They should warn parents with children before entering the theater... Hard to believe it comes from Disney....

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Not quite Sleeping Beauty, but very close
Review: I watched the Hunchback with some mixed feelings. First of all it was very dark. Second it was definitely not a kids movie. Overall, the whole movie was wonderful, if not excellent. I have always enjoyed cartoons and I always will and this is one that I would like to add to my personal video collection.

Rating: 5 stars
Summary: One of the best three Animated Disney Movies to date.
Review: With incredible Music, and unforgettable characters, this is one of Disney's best films ever. It is remarkably more realistic than many of the other cartoons, yet still remains trademark Disney.
