Summary: A Legend to Remember
Review: Mulan is a character unlike any other Disney heroine. She lives for a purpose of bringing herself and her family, honor. She fights, not only the Huns, but also Chinese tradition. All that she does and says is powerful. Other characters present humor and irony, making the film cute and sending a strong inspiration to be yourself and strive for the best. The music, including "Reflection", is well performed and composed (voices of Lea Salonga, Donny Osmond, Ming-Na Wen, Eddie Murphy, etc.). Orchestrations from this movie were nominated for the Oscars. The animation combines typical Disney styles with touches of Chinese art. This is truly a moving story with some breathtaking animation thanks to computer technology.

Summary: Some Disney movies are bad, this is not
Review: I am 14. I don't like most of the anual Disney movies. Mulan was an exception. It was realy good. but.. I think they showed too much of the movie in the previews because there were not very many big scenes in the movie that were not in the previews. I am disapointed about this Tarzan thing coming out this summer.

Summary: Great animation: a film for all the family.
Review: The story is enspiring, the animation is first class, and the songs are all beutiful. The producers have obviusly done a lot of research, and made a great effort to tell an authentic tale. I beg to disagree with Mr. Martin on the comic relief. This is in fect what sets a Disney's animation apart from other productions, such as the Prince of Egipt, for example, which does not contain such subtle humor and as a result became less entertaining, with only one song which can be boasted about. All Mulan's songs are beutiful as well as clever, they enteratin as well as educate.

Summary: Women to the Rescue!
Review: I thoroughly enjoyed the movie though I am aware of all the cultural mistakes (which are common when Disney tries to do something cultural without hiring someone to be a cultural advisor). The hero was one who had bravery and fought not for a guy (other than her father) but fought for herself. The story was not woman does insignificant stuff then gets married, it instead was woman saves China then finds love not as the main plot. I loved the movie even at 15years old so I know little kids must like it. I show it to all my babysitting charges and I feel it is a must own!

Summary: Another (yawn) Disney "Masterpiece"
Review: It amazes me how shameless the Disney people are, slapping that label "masterpiece" on every recent animated feature they've done. And so too with "Mulan."

This could have been a real provocative piece of storytelling. But once again, Disney plays it safe, following the formula of past successes. We get great animation, but a superficial story. Nothing really insightful about Chinese culture, history, or for that matter, gender, is revealed. The cute "sidekick" characters (this time a hip, wisecracking dragon) in these Disney features are getting very stale. The obligatory songs, which often trivialize what little meaning is found in the script, also get very predictable.

I keep hoping that one of these days, Disney will really give their talented animators a chance to do a feature like no other -- a new work which will be looked back upon as redefining the storytelling power of this medium. That would be a "masterpiece," and "Mulan" is far, far from it!

Summary: An exciting and fun-filled adventure movie.
Review: I liked this movie because it was very moving. It was all about honor and how a girl is just as worthy of doing things as a boy. I've watched it tons of times. I also like it because it doesn't have any mushy kissing in it.

Summary: I Liked Mulan because she was brave.
Review: I liked Mulan because she was brave and wanted to save her fathers life. and she was fighting even though she was a girl.

Summary: A fantastic and creative movie for all ages
Review: This movie was funny and entertaining. It showed that girls can do anything they want if they have a strong will and a fierce devotion. Anyone who enjoys adventure mixed in with humor and a touch of romance will enjoy this movie. It is definitely one of Disney's best!
