Rating: Summary: Some things missing... Review: If you've watched the trailer you've watched all the best parts of the movie. Although the animation was awesome, I found there were more one-liners in the dialogue than anything else. Also, I found a couple of holes in the story line, which I can't mention, unfortunately without making this a spoiler. There was also a little confusion with the character of the baby girl called Boo. She had a little too much understanding of some situations to not be able to talk full sentences. Her character, as well as the character Mike stayed the same throughout the movie. I enjoyed "A Bug's Life" and the "Toy Story" movies much more than this one. They were more ingenious and creative compared to "Monsters, Inc."
Rating: Summary: A Warm Fuzzy Feeling Review: I saw Monsters, Inc. today with my 7-year old son. This movie was so sweet and so funny. The characters were hilarious and the story line was very good too. I think in this time of so much bad news, it was nice to escape into a light-hearted family movie like this one. It appeals to all ages.
Rating: Summary: Fun for all ages! Review: Pixar did it again. My 2 year old just loved it....
Rating: Summary: Good clean fun Review: Monsters Inc. is responsible for supplying power to thousands of homes. This power is produced by children's screams. Every night monsters go to work to scare children in order to gather the power of the screams. Sounds easy enough right? You're a big scarey monster so scaring a little kid should be a piece of cake. Only one problem; kids aren't as easy to scare as they used to be. Plus there is always the danger of being touched by a child. Children are toxic. Will Monsters Inc. be able to meet the power demands or will Monsters Inc. go out of business? Monsters Inc. is a cute kids' movie with excellent animation. I gave it four stars instead of five because I was hoping it would be funnier. Most of the funny scenes were in the trailer. The kids should enjoy it and the adults should also be amused.
Rating: Summary: Incredible Review: This movie is great. It's up there w/Shrek and Bug's Life. The CG's were amazing. I had me laughing the whole way through. I recommend this movie to everyone.
Rating: Summary: One of the best films of the year... Review: "Monster's Inc." was a hilariously entertainig, smart movie. I loved this movie. There's nothing that I can say about this movie that I didn't like. Everything was funny. The animation was perfect. The script was perfect and very witty. I do not usually like cartoons, but I went to see this movie, because it had a lot of buzz; and it's from Pixar. Well, Disney should do everything with them. The previews that were shown before were good, too. The children and adults alike seemed to enjoy the movie equally. This movie is a definite must see for all ages. By the way, I'm 15; and I'm not ashamed I loved this movie.
Rating: Summary: Great Movie for all!! Review: I went to see Monsters Inc. today with my 4 year old, and a friend in her 20's (like me). We all walked out impressed! The animation is incredible, and the story is not to be beat by any of the other 'family' movies out already this year! Beats 'Shrek' by a mile! My four year old daughter did comment afterwards that she thought some of the parts were a little 'spooky' but she said she liked it much better than 'Atlantis' because "Mommy it had some scary parts but it had funny parts and happy parts and smily parts too!!" Take everyone you know and go see this movie!
Rating: Summary: To kids from 1 to 92.... Review: Monsters Inc is a fantastic movie for kids of all ages. It is witty, galvanizing, and just fun. When i went, i heard not only the high pitched giggles of children, but also the hearty chuckles of their parents. A must see for families, couples and kids.
Rating: Summary: I see this movie yesterday Review: I seen Monsters Inc. It was very funny. Rember when Mike said that thing is a killing machine. The kid was taking the bag and Skully didn't reliez. Mike ate the speaker phone. Water was bubbling and then speaker phone and he burp. Gross and funny. Clever and funny. Much as I like Toy Story, A Bugs Life, and Toy Story 2. Good movie from Disney and Pixar. ...
Rating: Summary: Much needed laughter Review: Monsters, Inc. provided some much needed laughter during these stressful times. The movie was light-hearted and touching, as well as funny and exciting. The characters of Sully (John Goodman) and Mike (Billy Crystal) were appropriately drawn to reflect the actors that voiced them. (John Goodman as big and cuddly; Billy Crystal as goofy and funny.) The tiny human character of Boo was absolutely adorable. The villians were well done as well, but not overly scary or evil. The entire concept of the movie was well thought out and interesting. The idea of a company (Monsters, Inc.) having this massive warehouse of childrens' closet doors is intriguing to me. What a concept! I would recommend this movie to children and adults of all ages!
