Summary: Snow Dogs
Review: Great comedy for all ages but not worth buying if it does not come in widescreen edition. How can you produce a movie with super-scenery and release it in "TV" pan-and-scan???

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Good movie but Disney Please give us widesreen!!!
Review: Oh, No...Well it was bound to happen, for those of us who love widescreen, the marvellous market research folks at buena vista decided that families prefer full frame, so naturally they decided to release a movie full of sweeping vistas, wonderfull photography and a film that just aches to be shown widescreen in all its cinematic glory in....... 'full frame!'. Go figure! Trust the suits to ruin everything again!! And just when disney looked as if it was using dvd to its full advantage. They've released both full and widescreen versions in the past, but apparantly not this time. And I really wanted to give this movie a close five stars, because the movie itself is a lot of fun!!

Summary: Is Alaska really such a dismal place?
Review: I've always dreamed of going to Alaska someday, Now all I cann say after several recent movies set there is I sure hope the real place is better than the cinematic version. There was MYSTERY, ALASKA, then OUT COLD, and now this, All seem to paint Alaska as a place of virtual stone-age retrogrades in a grim struggle for survival making life hell for any newcomer. One character in this laments the lack of cultural amenities in the small town in which the movie is set. A local responds with an alleged upside of life there, including a claim of "no crime", Well, there's "no crime" and then again there's "no crime", Well you can say there's "no crime" here if you don't count getting karate-kicked by the "heroine" just for wanting to use the bathroom at the town's only restaurant!
My two stars for this go for at least a good effort by the two leads, Cuba Gooding, Jr. and James Coburn. They do their best to ultimately bring heroism anjd joy to this God-forsaken setting. But the movie in its setup just dug itself too much of a hellhole for good acting alone to dig it out.

Summary: I Loved this Movie !
Review: Any animal lover, needs to see this movie. It is hysterical. The dogs are adorable. And Cuba Gooding Jr. is the Jerry Lewis of our time - what a fantastic comedic actor !

The perfect movie for children of all ages - and for grown adults who just love to watch animals at their funniest.

Summary: This is a great movie!
Review: This is a great family movie. Although I expected to see more "talking dog" type segments, I was not disappointed whatsoever, and my four-year-old son loved the movie, as well. The only disappointing aspect is that we have been unable to find a soundtrack for the great music, and it does not appear that there is one.

Summary: Dogs need dentists, too !
Review: Despite some of the bad reviews, this movie was really funny. I went to see it with my 7 year old son. He wanted to give it FIVE stars. I only cut it down to four because there were a couple short segments that were fairly boring.

We have an Alaskan Malamute, so we loved to see all of the sled dogs in action. Who wants to see them talk ? They were born to pull !

...The end was predictable, but leaves you with that warm Disney feeling.
Not bad for a dentist from Miami.

Summary: Surprisingly Excellent Movie
Review: I was very surprised at how wonderful this movie was. My daughter (4 years old), couldn't stop laughing. My husband, myself and my Mother all enjoyed it as well. The movie had wonderful music, storyline and cinematography. I would recommend it to every family. The title does not do it justice. I would see this movie again. It reminded me of the movie Paulie.

Summary: ...what a waste.
Review: An absolutely wretched film, even by Disney standards! Miserable acting and poor script-writing...as another reviewer stated, it's not even "dumb-funny". The stereotyping of characters and "cute" anthropomorphization of the dogs really bothered me as well...

Summary: Left me cold
Review: I saw this movie with my 12 year old daughter because a friend of hers said it was good. Her friend doesn't see many movies so she must have just thought getting out of the house, going somewhere, and eating popcorn was a big plus. I thought it was pretty lame and I think my daughter thought so too. If you are the kind of person who think that people falling down in snow, down hills, behind cars, in ice, etc.is funny, this is your movie. But it left me cold (sorry). Even my daughter didn't laugh. Based on the trailer, I thought this was a movie about talking dogs, like the Look Who's Talking movies or Cats and Dogs. I thought this might have increased the movie's humor. As it was, they only did in the dream sequence, and the rest of the time, they didn't. Because of this, I felt mislead about what kind of movie this was. I felt the plot was pretty unrealistic in many ways even for a Disney movie. I will give some plot away if I get specific (not that there wasn't anything completely predictable about this movie)but a few things did bother me: I wondered why such a pretty Native American woman would have to throw herself at this guy who seemed only marginally interested in her. You would think she'd have more friends in a backwoods outpost with a possible shortage of women. The town looked phony, like the movie set it was. The circumstances of this guy's conception totally played down that it was a one night stand. My feeling was, if this man loved this guy's mother like he told this guy, why did he let her give the baby away? And never try to find him? Also it is my experience that most half black children, look half black and have some caucasian features. Cuba didn't look mulatto to me and so the story seemed even more unbelievable. James Coburn and Cuba Gooding Jr. are great actors (Cuba was great in Men of Honor and Jerry McGuire) but both actors were totally wasted in this movie. Disney could have done much better. Don't waste your time and money.

Summary: Cheesy and Umimpressed
Review: My family was not happy with this movie. Personally, I fell asleep during the film, my youngest seemed uninterested and couldn't follow the film, and the rest of my family thought it was okay but not really impressed. I am usually not a complainer but this movie didn't meet up to our expectations!
