Summary: Good movie
Review: This is very funny. If you think that there was talking dogs in this movie. You are wrong. Another movie that Disney has done it again. I thought I was going to see a preview for Hey Arnold! the movie. The very famous dogs; Diesel, Yodel, Mack, Scooper, Nana and Sniff race a challenge with there new owner. Cuba Gooding Jr. has done great acting.

Summary: Cuba and Nichelle Are Surprisingly Good!
Review: Snow Dogs is a fun family film. Bryan Levant directed this film and you can tell because it does have that Flintstones quality to it. The whole family should like this movie. It's cute and has lots of furry dogs with incredible eyes. The only thing that bugged me a little is that Bryan is obnoxious in his commentary. He is very loud and sometimes annoying. Where the duel commentary with producer Jorden is much more calmer to listen to.

Cuba Gooding Jr. stars in this feature and I must say he is really a good physical actor. As you know, his Academy Award for Jerry McGuire proves he is a extremely gifted comedic actor, but in this movie not only is he funny, but he has great athletic bits as well.

The movie is about a Miami dentist who inherits a team of Snow Dogs that race every year in an Alaskan competition. There are some really great performances by Graham Green and the ever-ominous James Coburn as the bad guy. He is actually got a secret that Cuba doesn't know about. Once he decides to the dogs up north something happens that changes his mind and makes him enter the Mush races as well.

My favorite performance in this film is by far Nichelle Nichols. She is funny, elegant and very charming. She plays the concerned and overly conscious mother like no one I have seen. As you know, she is better known for her role as Commander Uhura in the Star Trek series and feature films.

The extras include some funny deleted scenes, the commentary and a DVD game where you have to ride a snowmobile. Its kind of fun. And very entertaining. Like I said this movie was a much more pleasant surprise than I expected and Nichelle steals the scene while Cuba does hold the film together. (8-13-02)

Summary: Good Movie
Review: Snow Dogs wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but it was still a pretty good movie. It's about Dr. Ted Brooks(Cuba Gooding Jr.), a dentist from Miami, Florida who finds out that he was adopted after his mother confessed. His real parents lived in a small town called Tolketna, Alaska. When Teddy came to Tolketna, he finds out that his mother died and his father was white. He would also meet several Siberian huskies who would help him and his father finish the Arctic Challenge. Cuba Gooding Jr.(Pearl Harbor, Rat Race), James Coburn(Monsters Inc.), and Brian Levant(Beethovan, The Flintstones) are a few of the many cast & directors of this good movie. Snow Dogs is a great and hilarious movie that the whole entire family can enjoy.

Summary: This movie is hilarious! Buy it now!
Review: I watched this movie after a very stressful day at work and it was a miracle! This movie is so funny that I cried. I am 34 years old and this is my favorite movie! The scene in the cabin when he encounters the dogs was so funny that I was screaming!! That dog demon is so beautiful! Oh, the scene with the skunk...well, hold onto the couch you will laugh so hard! There he is rolling in the snow moaning, "I smell! I smell!" I am laughing now just thinking about it. This movie is funny and heartwarming! Please buy it and share it with your family!

Summary: Humorous, funny!
Review: Want a movie that is fun for the entire family? Then this is the movie for you, your family, your friends, etc. I laughed so hard during some of the scenes that I could hardly breath! Cuba Gooding, Jr. is fantastic in this movie as well as the entire cast! And yes, that is Lt. O'Hura playing Cuba's "mother" in the film. My family and I saw this 2 times in the theater and enjoyed it so much that when it came out on DVD we just had to have it.

I did see one reviewer on here that stated the movie made fun of Canadians. It didn't, honest! It's just a good, wholesome, funny movie that the entire family will enjoy watching again and again! And folks, it is just that.....a movie for the audience to enjoy! That's it, no hidden message, etc.

If you're looking to buy a movie for children or a family, this would definately be a good movie to purchase! Enjoy!!

Summary: Makes Fun of Canadians!
Review: Even though this movie takes place in Alaska it still insults canadians. In the line where Teddy's mom says to a car driver "I'm so sorry but all I have is American money" she probably thinks she's in canada because it's snowing. Same with one of Teddy's dreams where he thinks he lives in an Igloo. Canadians don't live in Igloos! Like some gey people think on "This hour has 22 minutes". We live in half diesent 2 story homes and those people aren't called Eskimos anymore their called Inuits. We don't get blizzards and 30 below zero weather every winter. And we have 35 degree summers. And we don't always say "Eh" in are phrases. Although this movie is entertaining in some parts it still has those questionable parts. Including that Cuba Gooding got killed almost 100 times and still survived. When he flies through a forest he goes straight down the hill and it seems he just ghosts through the trees. Besides that this movie is a very humerous comedy.

Summary: Family Friendly Movie
Review: Very good Disney movie surrounding a famous dentist in Miami who gets a summons about a will in Alaska. He finds out he is adopted and his real mom lived in Alaska and was a musher. He travels there to find his past, but is like a fish out of water. He meets an attractive young woman who tries to keep him out of trouble. Upon looking around his late mom's home, he comes upon a team of sled dogs. He also meets Thunder Jack, played exceptionally well by James Coburn.

Dentist Brooks finds out Thunder Jack is his dad, and eventually Brooks learns to handle the dog team, and just in time for the Arctic Challenge, where Thunder Jack gets lost in a storm.

Overall, the humor was tasteful, the scenery was great, even if they did film most of it in Alberta, Canada. The huskies are great, my favorite breed of dog. If you're looking for talking dogs throughout the movie, you will not get it, only in Ted Brook's brief dream. Although the dogs play important roles. A good movie to get for your kids.

Summary: A good Family Movie.
Review: This is a Disney flick, complete with improbable "dangerous" situations and an unlikely happy ending. Cube Gooding, Jr. plays a well-to-do Miami dentist who discovers that he's adopted and that his biological mother has died and left him her estate. The hitch is that it is in Alaska! He travels there more to discover the missing part of himself rather than any largesse. He learns about his mother's dog sled team and eventually learns who his father is (Coburn). There are a series of humorous antics and situations and finally, everyone turns out for the better.
Gooding is an excellent actor and it looks like he enjoyed making this film. He puts his considerable talents to the role and you can tell it. Coburn is good a the crumudgeon father and the supporting cast is good. Everyone will enjoy watching this film. And you don't need children, just the child inside of us all.

Summary: A Little in the Cold
Review: Snow Dogs was cute, and even a little funny, but it basically could have been so much better. Cuba Gooding Jr. shows a great performance, but it was a little long and drawn out. Yes, it was pretty comical, and I did enjoy it, and you will probably too, but I have seen funnier movies. A funny one, but a little in the cold.

Summary: What? No widescreen?
Review: I give this 1 star because Disney decided to release it in Pan and Scan only. They THINK families prefer fullscreen. WRONG! As more families are educated about widescreen, the less people there are that like fullscreen. So, when Disney decides to release this in WIDESCREEN, I'll buy it, watch it, and give it a better review. Pan and Scan don't deserve more than one star.
