Review: If you like this one, try "My Neighbor Totoro" - its the same Japanese animator and the story is wonderful.

Summary: Now give us the DVD!!!
Review: (...) Kiki is one of the cutest, and I must say one of the most relaxing films out there. You can so easily just kick back on a dark night and watch this movie with a cup of coco. Makes me wish I had someone to cuddle up with. The story is totally calm and relaxing, while at the same time totally holding your interest. A great break from all the hardcore action and special effects stuff that comes out nowadays. Kiki joins the ranks of too, too cute little witches like Hermione, Wendy, and Sabrina. And having Kirsten Dunst's voice doesn't hurt either. ;0) The story is simply a coming of age story, minus all the sex that people seem to think is necessary in coming of age movies. It's about a 13 year old girl learning to do things on her own, including making friends and being a generally good person! There's not much more to it, and yet the magic and personalities keep you interested, despite the relaxed tone! Phil Hartman is wonderful as always as Kiki's cat. The animation is the usual, very nice Japanese Anime, probably better than average. Definitely one of my favorite pieces of Anime, up there with Sailor Moon. This is a great movie to just kick back and watch anytime. (...)

Summary: Lovely Kiki
Review: ...I came upon Kiki's Delivery Service. I forgot which channel it was..., but something made me stop and look. Here was this little girl in a plain black dress and a ridiculously big red ribbon plopped on her head. She is holding an oversized broom that is obviously too big for her as it towers above her head. How charming and cute, I thought. And her name was Kiki. Oh my. This is way too adorable.

Then something else struck me. This is no ordinary cartoon. Something's definitely wrong here. The animation is too good. The characters are too believable. Oh my, oh my. What is this ?

I watched on, not realizing that I had stopped slouching on my couch. Even the potato chips were left untouched. I finished watching it and I felt sooooo good that I just had to go out and take a walk by the lake. I had to drown myself in that moment.

Oh well. Whatever. This is a lovely movie for everyone.

...My favourite scene was at the ending credits, when Kiki was looking at a shop's display in the background, and suddenly a mother walked pass holding her little daughter dressed like Kiki, complete with her own little red ribbon and a mini-broomstick. I can just die of cuteness. T_T

Summary: Kiki a joy for very young children, too
Review: My 2 year-old boy and four year-old girl both adore Kiki's Delivery Service, and I have made it a standard gift for all my friends' young children.

This movie inspires children to find out what they are good at and then do their best. In turn, the lesson they learn is to like themselves for who they are and always keep trying.

As a matter of fact, my son tried for days to fly on a broomstick just like Kiki! He finally accepted that he was better suited for walking...

This movie has no guns and no foul language. Right and wrong are very clear, as are the uplifting messages.

The soundtrack is wonderful, the animation is absolutely stunning, and Phil Hartman is a kick as the voice of the feline sidekick.

I would recommend this movie!

Summary: Kiki's Delivery Service is a true work of art!
Review: I hate to admit it but I love this movie. It's a animated painting in my eyes, with a heartwarming tale about a young girl growing up, makeing friends, and learning about hearself. Get this and pay attention to the lush backgrounds and animated effects. It looks almost alive.
Not to many people know but this is one of the late great Phil Hartman's(He a star that's been in, News Radio, Saterday Night Live, The Simpsons, Jingle All the Way + many more movies) last pictures. So if you a fan of him you'll love him as Ji Ji in this. Trust me ths movie is a great family film, so get it:)

Summary: An Excellent Film for the Whole Family
Review: This classic animated film is the kind of movie that will be treasured for years to come by the whole family. I was enchanted by it's fun-loving, kind-hearted spirit and outstanding animation. The plot of this film revolves around the coming-of-age of a young girl witch named "Kiki", who flies away from her parents to make a go of making a living in a village far from her home.

With only her pet cat coming with her, Kiki's adventure provides girls and boys with a positive message about having confidence in oneself. Kiki meets new friends when she arrives in her new town where she must figure out what kind of work she can do that people need. She creates a magical delivery service (bringing things fast by broom), and faces the kind of real-life ups and downs we can all relate to. Best of all, Kiki finds out that people love her for just for who she is, even when she's not feeling her best.

The cinematography in this film is first-rate, and the easy-going pace of the story is a real treat. There aren't any real villains in this film, and so watching this movie is a lot like taking a relaxing vacation.

Summary: Wonderful Kids Movie!
Review: My daugher 4 1/2 and my Son 2 1/2 Love this movie! It is nice to find a movie out there for kids that does not contain violence and has a good moral to the plot! I am pleased to want to own it for my kids to watch over and over again. I am hoping it will come out on DVD soon.

Summary: Great movie for kids and adults
Review: This film has adventure without violence, friendship without romance, and a stellar role model for girls. Even the boys love this film! The lush animation is a sight for Pokemon-weary eyes. It is a gentle film where nothing is too bad and yet it maintains our interest and attention. Unlike Disney films, the main female character (Kiki) is not wasp-waisted, and does not have to fall in love to move the story along. I have seen this film several times and would recommend it for children and adults alike. I would especially recommend it to parents who are just plain tired of Disney (too much romance!) and Pokemon (too much fighting, bad animation!), as it is the Anti-Disney and the Anit-Pokemon!

Summary: a definate masterpiece
Review: An anime for people of all ages, excellent animation, painted backgrounds, music, voice acting, characters, and storyline.
It's Realistic yet fantasy-oriented, and definatley one of my favorite movies.
I like martial arts and fighting/violent anime a lot, but it isnt the ONLY type I like. This movie isn't for people who are looking for fast paced action oriented stuff.
