Summary: Spend Valentine's Day with Mickey and Minnie
Review: A great addition to your Disney DVD Collection! It will proably feature most of the the Valentine Mickey and Minnie Valentine's Episodes from the past videos. Its worth it!

Rating: 4 stars
Summary: Might not be the version you remember
Review: I have written past reviews on Walter Elias Disney movies.the episodes themselves would be rated 5 stars. However, the problem with this product is the VHS format is differnt from the DVD format because they had different episodes.I got the VHS format last saturdy at the Stoneridge Mall in Pleasontan,CA on June 5(the day president Reagan died).Society Dog Show,In Dutch,Donald's Double trouble and Pluto's Heart Throb were on DVD and VHS.The episodes the DVD had that the VHS didn't were Mickey's Rival,The Nifty Nineties,Mr. Duck Steps Out and Mickey's Delayed Date.Instead the VHS had Ye Olden Days,Donald's Dilema,Puppy love,Susie the Brave Little Coupe and Peculiar Penguins (which is really more of a silly symphonie).Mickey and Minnie didn't look like what i thought they wold.If every episode with donald, fifi, pluto, daisy, mickey, minnie, goofy etc. was from a show called Mickey Mouse, how come Mickey's not in every episode? Why would they put Peculiar Penguins on this video if it's a silly symphonie? What does Susie even have to do with Disney? What's up with all that stuff?Well,it wouldn't kill you to watch MY copy at least once but i better start finding reviews on videos that have the 3 deleted scenes. Why did they have to delete those scenes?Although,Puppy love and Ye Olden Days were colorized.

Summary: Great Compilation of Classic Shorts!
Review: If you are not a fan of the classic Mickey Mouse cartoons, than I advise you to steer clear of this DVD, because it is a compilation of 8 shorts with love as the main theme. Also, if you collect the "Walt Disney Treasures" series, you will end up owning all of the shorts on this disc, eventually. I am collecting that series, but bought this DVD because I love the cartoons on it and don't want to wait the several years it will take for Disney to release them as "Treasures."

As I said before, the DVD is compiled of 8 classic cartoons, and they are as follows, with a description of each:

1. "Mickey's Rival," in which Minnie and Mickey are on a picnic, when Minnie's old flame, Mortimer, drops by and ruins it.

2. "In Dutch," In which Pluto lives in Germany and falls madley in love. When he accidentally rings the town's emergincy bell, he and his love are banished. But when the damn is leaking, Pluto has to convince the town that he isn't lying.

3. "Donald's Double Trouble," In which Daisy refuses to speak to Donald until he learns to speak properly. So when Donald finds a proper duck who looks like him, the other Duck agrees to pose as Donald to win back Daisie's affection. But this duck has a sneaky agenda of his own.

4. "The Nifty Nineties," In which there is no real story line, but is simply a glimpse of what life would have been like in 1890. The only reason it's on this disc is that Mickey and Minnie are on a date.

5. "Pluto's Heart Throb," in which Pluto is hit by Cupid's arrow and falls for a weiner dog, but theres a bully of a bull dog who is ready to fight Pluto for her affection.

6. "Mr. Duck Steps Out," in which Huey, Duey, and Luey ruin Donald's date with Daisey.

7. "Society Dog Show," in which Mickey enters Pluto into a dog show, but Pluto falls in love with the compitition.

8. "Mickey's Delayed Date," in which Mickey accidentally sleeps through his date with Minnie. He then forgets their tickets to a party and gets so mesed up on the, way there, that he looks like a hobo.

I highley recomend this DVD and I hope Disney releases more compilations of classic shorts in the future. Due to the fact that none of the shorts were created for Valentine's Day, and instead are just shorts with a love theme, this DVD will proviede viewing pleasure all year round.
