Rating: Summary: Inappropriate images for young children Review: Use your pause button to get a close look at the "photo" pulled out of the file cabinet by the Television character as he discusses the carcinogenic effect of a particular appliance retailer. Totally inappropriate for young children.
Rating: Summary: WHY CAN"T YOU LOVE THE TOASTER Review: sure maybe if your kid is 2 years old and is really sensitive he will be scared in one or two scenes. But the movie has a great message and is much better than the [stuff] kids watch today (including the sequels to this movie) If your kid is smart enough to understand he'll love it. I used to watch it all the time
Rating: Summary: SICK AND DISTURBING Review: ... Frankly, I think that it is extremely sick and disturbing. I wish I had never seen it at all. Now, this may come as a shock that Disney would make a movie that is like this, but I'm not kidding. I would like to speak out for all the future kids who may see this, and ask the parents to watch it first and then decide. My mom just watched a little of it today, and was shocked. I honestly don't know what the creaters of this movie were thinking or were on. I would not reccomend this movie to any small child or even adult. Watch it first, then decide if this is a movie you feel comfortable having your children see. I know I wouldn't.
Rating: Summary: How Can I Describe The Brave Little Toaster? Review: It is a wonderfully imaginative movie. Small children get a kick out of talking appliances and can relate to the emotional side of them...especially their attachment to 'the master'. My three year old loves it..especially the songs...he gets to dance! This is not to say he wasn't frightened by the air condition scene or the toaster's dream sequence. I have read a few reviews that 'down' the AC unit, but what they don't tell you is there is another scene toward the end of the movie that causes the AC unit to have a change of heart...a true personification in many respects. As far as the dream, I know it is our first reaction as parents to want to protect our children. I, for one, prefer to help my child deal with the realities of life. I would much prefer him to learn it is ok to be scared and how to get past that fear, as I will not forever be by his side. He has learned that her dream was just that...a dream and not real. My son has watched the movie with me umpteen times and now there isn't a single part of it that scares him. He will tell me..."that air conditioner should be nice" or he will say "That's ok...it was just a bad dream". The movie in no way has had an affect on his behavior or attitude. It is a fun movie and he loves watching it over and over. Besides you don't have to worry about underlying inuindos or language! I definitely recommend it...and just because some children aren't infatuated with it, don't blame the movie. All kids are individuals in their preferences!
Rating: Summary: Little Known, but a Gem! Review: This is an very good little film...not on the same level as Bambi or Lady and the tramp...but still worth seeing. A spunky group of household appliances sets off to find the little boy they lived with, who is now a college student. They face scary moments and the little toaster proves to be the hero of the tale. This is probably funnier for adults than children. Cute little "Blankie" is my personal favorite character!
Rating: Summary: I LOVE this Movie Review: The Brave Little Toaster is my favorite disney movie bacause it is one of the few disney movies without talking animals, I throughly enjoyed the brave little toaster and i still watch it on vhs from time to time, i hope that it comes out on DVD soon. This Movie is one that the Entire Family will love.
Rating: Summary: Like no other (The original only) Review: This is a wonderful story about a family of vacation home appliances that go in search of the boy who once spent the summers with them, but has now gone off to college. It is a story about love, family, commitment, friendship, hope, and trying against all odds. It is thought provoking for some children and is comically nostalgic for some adults. All those who love the comfort of living in a bubble should probably stay away from this one. And if you think the sight of an angry air conditioner or scary blender will scar your child for life, don't buy... Otherwise, you may really enjoy this.
Rating: Summary: Oh god... Review: I remember this movie! I watched this movie EVERY TIME it came on the Disney Channel. If I was flipping channels and this was on I would just stop what I was doing. When I was a kid I was all about this movie. I couldn't get enough of it. I loved the characters and it was just an engaging story. Takes me back everytime I watch. Recommended.
Rating: Summary: The only Disney movie I ever liked. Review: I can remember watching this movie with my two older brothers when we were much younger, and we still love it! Sometimes we'll still quote our favorite lines from the movie ("A cuthtomer!"). I know, it's kind of dorky, but we have a lot of fond memories of those days when we were kids, and this movie is essentially part of our childhood, along with others like "Land Before Time" (the first one, before they made those awful sequels), and "The Chipmunk Adventure". Out of all of those, "The Brave Little Toaster" is definitely my favorite. We would rent this movie from the video store over and over again. I don't know why we didn't buy it back then!
Rating: Summary: Not a keeper Review: I was recommended this video by friends and bought it sight unseen based on their comments. Not everyone has the same family values and dynamics, however and I did not like the video. It was only okay. My kids watched it a few times but don't watch it repeatedly like their other videos. Perhaps we're more delicate than many people, but my children (ages 4 and 2)could not understand the anger of the air conditioner. It was rather extreme for us. I only say this because I wished that I would have been warned although I understand that some people are not bothered by this.
