Summary: Not as awful as expected...
Review: Okay, I'm a HUGE fan of "Lilo & Stitch." I mean it. Stitch toys litter my entire apartment. Given Disney's track record with direct-to-video sequels, this was exactly what I hoped I'd never see done to the beloved first film. But here it is, and, being the ridiculous fan that I am, I couldn't help but check it out. And wouldn'tcha know it? It's okay. And I'm notoriously hard to please! The animation is pretty abysmal, especially compared to the inspired work in the original "Lilo & Stitch," but the writing is halfway decent. The characters are captured pretty nicely (although Nani has disappointingly little to do with the story) and there are actually enough clever visuals and dialogue zingers that I managed to laugh out loud several times. Sometimes "Stitch! The Movie" simply resorts to rehashed moments from "Lilo & Stitch," but at other times, it presents some original gems that actually manage to recapture the zany spirit of the original movie without just repeating it. None of this, by any stretch, is to suggest that "Stitch!" is a great movie (it's essentially just an hour-long set-up for the upcoming TV series), but it's not bad, either. The dismal animation kills a lot of the comedic pacing, but, by and large, the movie is entertaining enough to hold your attention and even amuse you at times (but that's as far as I'd go, since there's nothing even resembling the emotional depth of the first movie). It's definitely geared toward a younger audience, but it's still a worthwhile addition to your video library if you're as big a "Lilo & Stitch" fan as I am!

Summary: great action, good feelings slow humor.
Review: While this movie has all the sweet charm of the first with feeling people can definatly relate to. Like the fact of not fitting in. I'm sure everyone has felt like that. The action is well done to keep attention of viewers. some of the jokes & running gags got a little worn thin from over repeative use. Still I'd recoment this movie highly.

Summary: A horrible attempt and just simply making more money. So sad
Review: My daughter and I were huge Lilo and Stitch fans, and as of late Disney hasn't been putting out the best movies - this was their saving grace, that is, until I loaded it into my DVD player.

The graphics are horrible, and in no way compared to the originaly Lilo & Stitch movie. The artwork to it is horrible, it appears to perhaps have an entirely different theme - think Lilo gone pokemon. The dialogue was not emotional, it was very old-karate-movie-ish. Part of the movie (where Stitch is about to be cut in half, for example) are very violent and upsetting to a young child.

The original movie had some violence, but the beautiful animation made it more "bubbly", whereas now it's just straight-up violence.

Disney is using this as spinoff for a new series where Lilo and Stitch drive around trying to find the remainder of the experiments, just a cheap way to get more audience.

As sad as I am about this - do not buy this movie, it's a total disapointment and in no way lives up to the original. =o(

Summary: More Hawaiian Fun
Review: If your child enjoyed Lilo & Stitch then she will like this straight to video sequel. Most of the voice cast returns in Stitch: The Movie which has Jumba being kidnapped and held for ransom by Captain Gantu and a weird rabbit like creature. Jumba has brought all of his 625 previous experiments to Hawaii - Lilo and Stitch release them by submersing them in water and then must try to get them to use each one's unique power for good in order to rescue Jumba. The artwork is rather flat; definitely not on par with the original's beauty, but what can you expect for a movie so hastily done? That said, my daughter LOVES this sequel, and I guess that's what a review like this is all about - I definitely recommend!

Summary: what is this
Review: I love the first movie Lilo and Stitch it was so cute i got all excited for Stitch and I was disspointed in it. IT way to short the story line get really long. Plus the animation isn't all that great at all I mean disney could so so much better but what do you except from disney either there sqeauls are good or not why they couldn't do better on the animation i don't know but it would be a cute movie for very young kids.

Summary: Does not live up to expectations
Review: The video store in my town by accident released this movie four days early to rent. I loved the first movie, Lilo and Stitch, and was expecting this to be just as good. But, it definately does not live up to the first one. It's cute, and the other 625 experiments are very cute, but it's really missing something. The first movie had Elvis' songs and songs especially recorded for the movie, that give it the Hawaiian feel. All of that is missing in this movie. I also didn't think this movie was as funny as the first, and in someways it doesn't really seem like it takes off right where the first one ended. Sadly, it doesn't live up to expectations.

Summary: disappointed
Review: While still enjoyable, this film lacked much of what made the original "Lilo and Stitch" movie enjoyable for adults as well as children.

The drawing was too simple and the film included very little music at all (especially compared to the first movie). Stitch's mischievious ways were almost totally reformed leaving Stitch more like a blue, six-legged, teddy bear. The sequel carried virtually none of the Hawaiin tradition from the first film. Also, the sequel paid very little attention to Lilo and her sister's family situation.

The sequel is an obvious rush job and an even more obvious segway (sp?) to the upcoming TV cartoon. It has a srong "Pokemon" feel to it ("Gotta catch em all") rather than the feel of the first "Lilo and "Stich" movie.

This movie could have been much better, however Disney chose to totally overkill the idea of Stitch's cousins and left out too much of the original characters' traits.

Summary: Stitch and friends are back!
Review: Stitch, Lilo, Nani, David, Jumba, and Pleakley return in this sequel to last year's Lilo & Stitch. But if you are a Elvis Presley fan, you will be disappointed, that this movie doesn't follow the orginal, it only has one Elvis song, and that is Slicing Sand. But if you are not an Elvis Presley fan, you will be glad that you won't have to sit a lot of his songs. Stitch (Chris Sanders) is dispappointed, that he has no cousins in Hawaii, even if they are not releated. Then Captain Gantu (Kevin Mihcael Richardson), who was retired after his last mission, is hired by a Dr. Hammstaviel (Jeff Bennett) is a hamster mistaken for a gerbil, to collect all the 625 expierments from Stitch's creater and his ex-partner Jumba (David Ogden Stiers). Gantu shows up, and Lilo (Daveigh Chase from Lilo & Stitch and Spirited Away) thinks that Gantu is back for Stitch. When Jumba refuses to give up the other 625 expirements, that starts from eggs, Jumba, and one of the expirments who makes great sandwitches, is kiddnapped. Lilo's older sister Nani (Tia Carrere) and her boy friend David are out, and has left Jumba and Pleakley (Kevin McDonald) in charge. Stich and Lilo go out to try to rescure Jumba, and then Nani and David, returns to find Lilo absent from the house. Nani leaves to look for Lilo, while David stays back at the house, in case Lilo returns. Lilo and Stich returns when thier mission to save Jumba failed. They find Pleakley locked in a box, and then Pleakley finds the other 624 exiremnets, and intricts them to leave them in the box where they are in.

Summary: Ugh. Doesn't deserve Stitch's name!
Review: Wow, this movie was awful. I am a HUGE fan of "Lilo & Stitch" so naturally I bought this movie sight unseen. Looks like Disney is just cashing the sequel checks with children being their primary target. Very low quality story. Stick with Saturday morning cartoons -- at least they're free.

Summary: Not bad for an hour
Review: As we all know this movie was just made to set up for the animated series on disney channel so its not really a sequel per say. It does introduce the concept of stitches other 625 cousins and we are introduced to new characters as well. I know that most "movie to set up a series" are usually not that good, but this one is still pretty good. It will definately keep the kids entertained and thats what is important. So i would pick this up for not only your kids to enjoy, but the whole family as well.
