Rating: Summary: Not at all like the movie Review: The characters act differently, the script was not given much attention. The movie lacks the creative composition the first boasts. The chemistry between the charaters is not present. Movie plays more like a long cartoon. Animation not as good as in the movie. Jokes and plot not properly developed and written. Overall, not as entertaining. This includes the bonus features in the DVD version. Adults will not like this one, kids, especially young kids, maybe.
Rating: Summary: Stitch and friends are back! Review: Stitch, Lilo, Nani, David, Jumba, and Pleakley return in this sequel to last year's Lilo & Stitch. But if you are a Elvis Presley fan, you will be disappointed, that this movie doesn't follow the orginal, it only has one Elvis song, and that is Slicing Sand. But if you are not an Elvis Presley fan, you will be glad that you won't have to sit a lot of his songs. Stitch (Chris Sanders) is dispappointed, that he has no cousins in Hawaii, even if they are not releated. Then Captain Gantu (Kevin Mihcael Richardson), who was retired after his last mission, is hired by a Dr. Hammstaviel (Jeff Bennett) is a hamster mistaken for a gerbil, to collect all the 625 expierments from Stitch's creater and his ex-partner Jumba (David Ogden Stiers). Gantu shows up, and Lilo (Daveigh Chase from Lilo & Stitch and Spirited Away) thinks that Gantu is back for Stitch. When Jumba refuses to give up the other 625 expirements, that starts from eggs, Jumba, and one of the expirments who makes great sandwitches, is kiddnapped. Lilo's older sister Nani (Tia Carrere) and her boy friend David are out, and has left Jumba and Pleakley (Kevin McDonald) in charge. Stich and Lilo go out to try to rescure Jumba, and then Nani and David, returns to find Lilo absent from the house. Nani leaves to look for Lilo, while David stays back at the house, in case Lilo returns. Lilo and Stich returns when thier mission to save Jumba failed. They find Pleakley locked in a box, and then Pleakley finds the other 624 exiremnets, and intricts them to leave them in the box where they are in.
Rating: Summary: Nice Sequal Review: Ok, direct to video animation doesn't compare to movies, but it still has it's charm. Normally I do not like sequals to movies but since I loved Lilo & Stitch I had to break my own rule and I am glad I did! Stitch is adorable as always and the show has some funny spots like Lilo peering at Myrtle from the car that was hillarous. And I have a soft spot for Sparky- almost as cute at Stitch after all he has Stitch's Smile!
Rating: Summary: There Are More? Review: Title: Stitch The Movie Rated: G Producer: Clark Spencer Time: 1:03 Imagine you are the only one of your kind. You feel alone all the time and the only real family you have is Lilo. Then one day you find an experiment holder and you release experiment 625. You don’t feel so alone, still what’s wrong? If you like movie that make you laugh this is your kind of movie. First, I think that the best part of this movie was the comedy. There were parts in this movie where I was laughing hard. If you are a person who liked the first movie you would like this one. It’s not as good as the first movie but it’s still good, in my opinion the original movie is the best, but like I said its still good. There’s a lot of action in this movie and it’s really funny. Secondly, I think that the animation was the very good. Stitch looks like he did in the first movie, and Lilo looks like she did in the first movie too. He wasn’t lighter than he was in the first movie and Lilo wasn’t either. You know how in some movies on the sequels the characters look different, not in this movie! The animation of a cartoon movie is one of the most important part if not the most important. I give this movie two thumbs up. Thirdly, I think that there is an age restriction for this movie. 1- 12 year olds would like this movie but any higher in age wouldn’t. To me, it seems to be in the same maturity level. 13 year olds and older would not be able to enjoy this movie because it would seem to “childish†for them to enjoy it. Though I believe some adults would because of the humor. The younger children would like the movie better, they would like Stitch because it is something that they have or is what they are imagining now. This is a really good movie. I would give it a 3 of 4 stars. This is a good movie for younger children or a family with kids to watch together. You’ll laugh and you’ll wonder what will happen next. You also may like the humor in the movie. This is also good for older brothers and sisters to watch together with their younger siblings. Grandparents need to watch this with your grandchildren, you’ll smile because they’re smiling. This movie will make you laugh and wonder what it’s like to be alone. Now you may be thinking, so what happens to the experiments? Will they come to life? What will happen to Lilo and Stitch you can see by watching the Stitch Movie. Here’s a shout out to all you kids, spend some time and watch it with your family. Even if you want to or not! Aloha!
Rating: Summary: A Mildly Amusing Rehash Review: * While Disney theater-release animated films can be expected to be major and usually very shiny production efforts, Disney direct-to-video movies generally have to be treated with a bit more suspicion. They tend to be relatively low-budget knockoffs to milk the market a bit. STITCH THE MOVIE is a case in point. What this movie does is basically recycle all the characters and many of the scenarios of the original LILO & STITCH with a new plot, involving an old colleague of mad scientist Jumba -- a puny gerbil-like ("Hamster-like! HAMSTER-LIKE!") villain named Hamsterwheel ("That's Hamsterviel! HAMSTERVIEL!") with a Peter Lorre accent -- who is trying to get his hands on Jumba's other 625 genetic experiments (remember that Stitch was Experiment 626). This is actually a watchable item, with good production values and laughs here and there. I particularly appreciated the little nod to Mr. Henry Mancini about halfway through the flic. However, it would almost be as much fun to sit through LILO & STITCH again because STITCH THE MOVIE brings little to the party. If you really liked the original, you'll probably get along well with the sequel, though I ought to warn that it's not a full-length feature, being a little more than an hour long. If you were lukewarm about the original, you won't be interested in the sequel. Incidentally, one of the functions of STITCH THE MOVIE is as a direct lead-in to LILO & STITCH THE TV SERIES which should begin airing on Disney and ABC soon. The TV series involves Lilo & Stitch trying to track down and tame all the other genetic experiments. Actually, it sounds like it might be amusing -- while recycling LILO & STITCH as a full-length movie has limited potential, it may still work well enough in a half-hour cartoon series format. If the scriptwriters can get into the right mindset they might have some fun with it.
Rating: Summary: A worth to buy sequel! Review: I have heard from some critics that this movie was so dissapointing. I hardly agree. Though the movie does lack the funny kick in the ... laughter, this sequel seemed to do very well! I bought the movie today, and watched it once I got home. I loved it. It was a 'cute' movie. I know what 'Pokemon' is, and I do not agree it's going to be like that. I love disney movies, and I will always do. But if they do make sequels, make it more thrilling than the original! (or the same) The Special Features, I do not really care for. They are not worthy seeing.
Rating: Summary: disappointed Review: While still enjoyable, this film lacked much of what made the original "Lilo and Stitch" movie enjoyable for adults as well as children. The drawing was too simple and the film included very little music at all (especially compared to the first movie). Stitch's mischievious ways were almost totally reformed leaving Stitch more like a blue, six-legged, teddy bear. The sequel carried virtually none of the Hawaiin tradition from the first film. Also, the sequel paid very little attention to Lilo and her sister's family situation. The sequel is an obvious rush job and an even more obvious segway (sp?) to the upcoming TV cartoon. It has a srong "Pokemon" feel to it ("Gotta catch em all") rather than the feel of the first "Lilo and "Stich" movie. This movie could have been much better, however Disney chose to totally overkill the idea of Stitch's cousins and left out too much of the original characters' traits.
Rating: Summary: Disney Sequels ... Review: this thing is awful, all it is is the pilot episode for the series they are going to have on ABC soon. The character animation is all off, even stitch, who you'd think they'd realize was the most important character was done wrong for most of the film. Jumba, nani and David all look wrong as well. If you were looking for a sequel to the WONDERFUL original film, move on, because this ain't it. It's disney's new version of Pokemon. If you're just out for more of the stitch attitude, at least he shines through from time to time.
Rating: Summary: Pokestitch meets Stitchemon Review: This DVD begins fairly well, largely due to the antics of Lilo and Stitch, but it can't hold a candle to the original. There's less of everything you loved about Lilo and Stitch, with a weak "plot line" and story. Disney is using this movie to launch it's own Pokemon series- wanna-be on television, and should be distributing it at a far cheaper price, because it is in reality an hour long advertisement. "Stitch was experiment 626...meet the other 625!" blares the cover jacket. Yeah, right! We meet TWO other experiments, 221 and 625, and that's where they drop you off folks. Meet us on television for 623 further adventures - "gotta catch 'em all" after all. This is an outright rip off of both the excellent original and Pokemon. Disney should be ashamed of themselves.
Rating: Summary: alright but not what i expected Review: The ads for this movie are very deciving. When I finally bought the movie I was dissapointed--but only a little bit. This movie is still worth watching, but I would suggest renting it first.
